This was her way to get back at him, somewhere deep within she always wanted what his fiancé had. She wanted him to flaunt her around in his arms and tell the world that she makes him happy but the world would never know that and she knows it very well. Alex will not take her out with him nor want to be seen out with her in public after all his family name was at stake. Her eyelids become heavy and soon sleep start taking over her. She rests her head on the window and lets her hair cover up her face while a tear drop escapes from her eyes. Love never came to her, she always kept yearning for it and it feels like it won’t come to her ever.

Ryan pulls out in front of a very posh restaurant and looks back to the backseat but a smile creeps to his face, seeing the girl sleeping, resting her head on the window. “Ma’am, ma’am.” He calls out to her but it’s of no use. “Rosie, wake up.” He calls out again, this time calling her by her name. She wakes up and smiles sheepishly, feeling embarrassed that she fell asleep. He smiles looking away from her, he always liked her; it’s not his fault that he does. Her innocent face, her long black hair calls out to him, but he never had the courage to ask her out and tell her to stop seeing the douche that his boss is.

Rosie rubs her sleepy eyes and pulls out the compact mirror out of her handbag and slowly wipes the residue of her messed up mascara from her eyes. She takes a rouge lipstick and slowly applies it onto her now swollen lips; she could still feel his touch linger on them. After putting the mirror and the lipstick back in the handbag she runs her fingers through her hair and locks eyes with Ryan in the rearview mirror. He quickly looks away from her as he has been gawking at her for forever. Clearing his throat he steps out of the car and gets to the other side and opens the car door for her, she steps out and sees the manager hurrying his way towards them. "Mr. Anderson.... um isn't this his car?" The manager asks the security guards perplexed. "Yes it is his car." The guard replies to him.

The manager looks her up and down with an expression which she quite can't get a hold of what it meant. He stares at her with distaste and looks away mumbling something to himself. She pulls on her dress to cover her exposed skin; the man is making her feel so small, she now knows that the man understood what she is to Alex and so did the security guards. It breaks Ryan’s heart to see her like this, he could feel her pain but wasn’t able to do or say anything to her. A realization hits her, thinking what a big mistake it was to come here, that too in his car and in these clothes. She quickly turns to her heels and rushes inside the car; Ryan gets the queue and quickly gets in the car as well and drives away as fast as he can. Her heart starts pounding in her chest due to the sheer fear of thinking of the consequences if somehow Alex finds out about all these. He will be furious for sure; this is not the first time she has made this sort of mistake. She has done it before and she knows very well what will happen next.

When she reached her apartment the first thing she did was take a bath in hot water; the hot water sure did soothe her pain. After taking a long bath, she sits on the couch and turns on the TV and starts to order some food. All of a sudden the calling bell starts ringing nonstop. "Coming!" She yells and runs to the door. As she opens the door, she comes face to face with an angry looking Alex, who is standing there with his jaw clenched and eyebrows knitted together. She gulps down audibly while her gut twists in fear of seeing him like this. He never came to her house, unless there's something wrong. Without saying anything he pushes past her and gets in. "Close the door and come here." He orders in a stern voice. She slowly closes the door and nervously walks to him. He glares at her and suddenly slaps her with the back of his hand, making her fall on the couch. Her head spins, a sharp pain starts spreading around her jaw and cheekbones. She holds onto the couch for support as she feels a tear escape her eye.

"What have I told you? Not to disobey me! Didn't I?!" He shouts at her. Rosie slowly looks down at the floor and sits on the couch while wiping her tears. "You disobeyed me to get some food? Okay great, no problem but how fucking dare you go to the restaurant I fucking visit every day and they fucking know who I am!" He yells at her making her flinch in fear. She keeps her gaze on the floor, not daring to look up at him. "Have you seen yourself?! You class-a whore!! You fucking ruined my reputation!" He shouts and grabs onto her chin harshly, squeezing it with his thumb and index finger and makes her look at him. She stares at him while her tears keep on falling nonstop; his words hurt her more than the slap. "Don't you know your status?! Don't you know where you belong! You cheap woman!" He yells letting her chin go. Tears escape from her eyes while she watches him walk out of the apartment, slamming the door shut. After that she stares at the floor for how long who knows. A cry escapes her throat bringing her back to the horrific reality.
