Chapter 7-New place

A FEW days passed and Alexander was about to be discharged from the hospital. He didn’t want to stay in their house and that angered his father.

“From today on, you have to work for the company and earn your own money. I’m also taking back your condominium. Now, if you don’t want to go home, then find somewhere else to sleep!” Laurenzo said harshly to his son.

“Damn you!” Alexander yelled at his father through his gritted teeth.

Dylan shook his head to express his disapproval of Alexander’s disrespect for his father.

“Thank you!” Laurenzo smiled mockingly. “Now, it’s up to you where you go home. I’m not such a bad father, so I left fifty thousand on your credit card. And the car is only for Dylan to drive. When I find out you left without Dylan, you can expect what I’ll do next.”

Alexander cursed frustratedly a few more times. He would seriously do anything to pressure him to comply with his wishes. His father had left, but he hadn’t decided where to live yet.

“Shall I find you a place to stay?” Dylan asked Alexander who had fallen silent.

Alexander did not immediately lifted his gaze. He forgot that there was someone else in the hospital room. He grinned and thought of something to do so that his guard would leave voluntarily. He was certain he wouldn’t want to be near him once he did what was on his mind.

“There’s no need, I want to choose the place I’ll stay in myself."

Dylan looked at the young man as if he could read him. He doubted what was going through his mind now.

“Let’s go,” Alexander said. He deliberately moved slowly, acting as if he was still weak.

Dylan knitted his brows as he approached the arrogant young man. He had no choice but to grab his arm and place it on his own shoulder for support. He couldn’t let him fall after all.

Dante and Troy quietly followed the two out of the hospital. They were carrying some of the Young Master’s belongings. The Chairman held Dylan in high regard that they were told they didn’t have to watch the Young Master at night. They will go to the mansion when the day’s work was over.

Alexander booked a room at a hotel owned by an acquaintance. He purposely only took a single bed so there wouldn’t be any space for Dylan.

“We can split the bill if you want to save up.” Dylan offered to Alexander when he saw the room they were going to stay in.

“I don’t need your money. If you don’t feel comfortable to stay with me in this room, you can get your own room.” Alexander replied arrogantly to the young man.

They started each other down; Dylan was first to give up. He knew that Alexander did it on purpose to get him to resign from being his personal bodyguard and assistant.

“Fine, I’ll give you what you want.” Dylan’s tone was neutral. He dropped the bag on the floor carelessly.

Alexander lay down on the soft bed with a smile. The bed size was just right for one person. If Dylan forced himself onto the bed, they would surely have to fight for space.

Dylan couldn’t tell how long Alexander will be stubborn with his father. He did not remove his own clothes inside the bag. He only arranged Alexander’s in the closet. He felt like he was a babysitter instead of a guard. Fortunately, he had a long patience for this kind of work.

Alexander’s smile faded when he saw what Dylan was doing. What pissed him off was that he seemed to be enjoying being his nanny now.
