Chapter 17: Habit

Alan nodded to every word Eva said and finally got up giving her his handkercheif.

"well, Matthew is dead and now that you just need that land, I will give it yo you by tommorrow. Now go home, I have work to do", Alan said.

Eva nodded wiping her tears of betrayal, sympathy and heartbreak to which Alan showed zero emotions. He walked out and sat in his car. David followed him and took his seat. The driver started driving and Alan went to have some lunch in a cafe right in front of his office.

He silently ate his food and finally when he was finished he looked at David and said,

"seize all the properties that are with Matthew. Now that he is dead and gone, I want it all", Alan remarked.

David nodded even though he knew that he was putting Alan into risk because the news of Matthew's dead has not yet even reached the police. David called his man in police and informed about the death. He even called his best lawyer to create Matthew's fake will in no time offering double the money.
