CHAPTER 90: MEETING THE SEER

The night air was cool against my flushed cheeks as I stared into Alpha Ansel's eyes, still processing his words. He wanted to take me to the seer. What did that mean?

Why the sudden change of events?

“W-why?” I managed to stammer out, my voice trembling as I tried to hold onto my fleeting sense of control.

Alpha Ansel sighed, his grip on my hand tightening slightly as if he feared I might bolt.

But I was still hesitant. I wanted to get out of his sight.

“The seer has knowledge of things we cannot understand. She may be able to explain your new powers and the changes you're experiencing.”

My heart pounded in my chest. It made sense, but the thought of confronting my mysterious abilities head-on filled me with both hope and dread.

And again, I was terrified of what the seer might say after seeing me.

“When do we go?” I managed to push back the fears back to my head.

“Tomorrow,” he replied, his tone firm and with finality.
