EDNA POV

I scanned my eyes all over the place as soon as I woke up. This place looked unfamiliar.

Where was I?

“Ansel? My love!” I slowly got up from where I had been sleeping and I could see now that I was on a mat, on the floor of what I could describe as level ground.

This place…how did I reach here?

My heart started thumping in my chest. What happened? Where was Ansel? Why did I end up here?
