Isabel was sitting next to her sister in that restaurant. She was nervous because she would see Hugo after five weeks of not seeing him, but her nervousness stemmed more from the fact that Hayami would meet him. She was afraid of what her sister would think of him. In the past, things hadn't gone well for her with a man of Hugo's same status. She knew the history between her sister and that man, but she also understood there were things she didn't know about. She really didn't know what her sister thought. She had dated several men in those ten years, but they never lasted. It always broke their hearts, although she said it wasn't intentional, just that she couldn't be with someone she didn't love.

Hugo and Noah entered the restaurant where the two girls were waiting for him. Noah had arranged for Hayami to meet him. Hayami looked at him, noticing he was a boy with black hair, just like his eyes. He was the same height as Noah. Hayami lightly bumped Isabel's elbow with his elbow.

"He's even handsome."

Hayami whispered, laughing softly, making Isabel's tension disappear a little.

The two men approached the seated women. Noah couldn't help but stare at Hayami as she smiled; she looked very beautiful in her circular yellow dress.

Face to face, Hugo hugged Isabel, giving her a tender kiss. Hayami rolled her eyes, just like Noah, who thought all this love was so cloying.

"Love, I want you to meet my sister. Remember I told you about her?"

"Yes. Yes, of course. Isabel told me a lot about you."

"I mean, everyone knew you had a sister except me?"

Isabel started to laugh; she never actually mentioned it to him. She thought Hugo had, but it was obvious he didn't.

Hayami took Hugo's hand, which he held out for her, and approached him.

"I expect good things from you."

"Of course, all good."

The four of them sat down. Noah was still silent, crossed his legs, and folded his arms across his chest.

"So, what are you planning to do?"

Hayami asked Hugo seriously.

"I want to marry Isabel. I know I can't offer her much, but that's why I'm working hard to give her the best."

Isabel smiled like a girl in love upon hearing her boyfriend's words.

"What do you want, Isabel?"

He looked at her as he took her hand.

"I love him and I want to be with him. I want to be his wife."

"So what are you waiting for?"

"It's our parents... Well, our father."

"Don't worry about him, I'll arrange everything. When do you want to do it?"

Isabel looked Hugo in the eyes.

"In a month."

Isabel finally answered.

"Then it will be in a month."

Isabel kissed Hugo. Hayami looked away, looking at Noah, who remained in the same position, watching the couple with a slight smile of pure happiness.

"I just have one question," Hayami said, returning her gaze to the two of them and interrupting Isabel and Hugo's tender kiss.

Isabel looked at her curiously.

"Were you planning on having a threesome when you married Noah? Because, if so, how advanced they were."

Hugo couldn't help but laugh at Hayami's idea, if it was as his girlfriend had told him. Isabel only blushed while Noah began to cough at Hayami's words.

She got up from the table, approached Noah, and touched his shoulders with her hands.

"You know what, guys? This man and I have to go to work."

She stood in front of Noah and, without warning, grabbed his hand to lift him up, which she managed, since he didn't resist Hayami's touch at all.

"But, sister, we haven't ordered yet."

"Don't worry, you two order. Seriously, there's a lot of work at the office, isn't there, boss?"

She looked at him suspiciously; he quickly got the message.

"Yes, that's true."

"Well, see you later then; talk about when you'll be home with our parents."

Hayami took Noah's arm and linked his, something she was doing for the first time. She walked toward the restaurant door; as she left, she was still holding onto him.

"Sorry, I wanted to leave you, but you still have a lot to talk about."

"I understand."

He sighed.

"I wanted to thank you for the gesture you made for my sister and him."

It was the first time she had thanked him for anything; she didn't want to ruin it, so she just nodded.

"Let's go eat. It's on me, since I'm a good friend and ex-brother-in-law."

"Come on, ex-sister-in-law."

He continued Hayami's game, and they both laughed. Hayami thought that, after all, what Isabel said about him being a good boy was true.

The days passed. Hugo spoke with Isabel's father, who, although he didn't agree, accepted the wedding, but Hayami knew that deep down, it was what she had given him.

Isabel and Hugo were planning their wedding; they had named Noah and Hayami as groomsmen. Although there were days when everything was calm between them, there were still quarrels; they felt that, no matter how hard they tried, neither of them could stand each other very well.

Hayami was lying in bed one Sunday night; She was very bored. She stared at her bedroom ceiling. She wanted to go out. Carolina was sick, so she couldn't leave the house.

"Fuck it, I'll go alone."

She got out of bed, put on a pair of short denim shorts, a red strapless blouse, a strapless bra, put on her black sneakers, and put on her favorite lipstick, a dark red. As she left her room, she grabbed her car keys, put them in her bag along with her cell phone and finally her house keys.

Going downstairs, she didn't see any of her family. She got in her car and drove until she found a club. She wanted to have fun, it didn't matter that she was alone; she knew she would do it anyway; that's how her years in Canada had been.

Arriving at a club that looked like it was happening, she parked her car.
