Chapter 2

**Damon's POV**

I gasped and sprung up from the bed, I looked at the room and my jaw dropped in shock. Things looked so different and out of date.

"What the hell is going on here?" I asked myself.

I touched my body to be sure I wasn't dreaming, I mean, I'm dead, I'm supposed to be dead but what happened? The last thing I remember is being murdered by Lucas, I remember their betrayal so clearly. And the thought alone caused me to ball my fist in rage.

I am so damn sure I died, why am I here? What am I doing here?

I looked around the room and it looked like how my room was 6 months ago before I changed the look.

I paced around the room, confused and puzzled when my eyes made contact with the standing mirror.

“What!” I exclaimed.

I looked like when I was 6 months ago. My hair was still long, I remember cutting it, but now everything is the same.

I was barely done checking myself out when someone knocked on the door, causing me to jump in freight.

"Who's there?"

"Brother, it's me,"

I heard Lucas voice.

I rushed to open the door and there he was, standing outside with a smile on his face.

"You've been asleep for so long brother, don't tell me you plan on sleeping the whole day?" He laughed.

I said nothing, I only kept on staring at him, my face was void of any emotions, I still remember how he had killed me, I remember his betrayal, 6 months before what happened, I wouldn't have been able to tell that he would betray me, I wouldn't have been able to tell that those smiles on his face were fake. Everything is just a lie.

"Brother," Lucas called loudly, jolting me out of my thoughts.

"The ceremony is about to start, you should come outside, the whole pack is waiting,"

I furrowed my brow in confusion.

"What ceremony?"

Lucas frowned, then his frown turned into a smile.

"You've got to be kidding me right? The Luna ceremony of course, you've found your mate and you're about to crown her the Luna, Kiara is about to be crowned the Luna of this pack,"

"What!!" I exclaimed.

Lucas sighed in frustration.

"You're acting weird bro, you were so excited about this and now you're acting like you don't remember anything," He shook his head.

"Just hurry and come outside, the whole pack is waiting, including your mate, Kiara," Lucas said before leaving.

"What's happening to me?" I questioned in shock.

"It's like I've gone back in time, I'm living the life I already lived, everything is repeating itself,"

I slowly went to sit on the bed so I could think things properly and understand what's happening to me.

My mind went back to how I died and everything that happened.

And that was when it clicked, the last words I said before I died, I had prayed to the goddess to give me a second chance at live, I had prayed to be able to live again.

"Could this be it? My second chance?"

I suddenly felt immense joy in my heart. The moon goddess answered my prayers, she granted me another chance to live.

I stood up and walked to the mirror, but I gasp in shock when I saw the dagger Lucas had used to kill me still pierced in my heart.

My hands trembled as I touched the dagger to be sure it was real.

My hands grabbed the tip and I could literally touch it.

"W what's this? Why is this in my heart?" I panicked.

I tried pulling it out but I screamed out in pain, I had to leave the dagger immediately.

"Why is this here!!" I screamed.

"Damon," I heard a soft voice calling.

I instantly turned to my side and I saw a lady dressed in an all white dress, the crown on her head was a shiny gold crown, her long dark hair stopped at her waist, she was truly beautiful. I could literally feel the powerful aura radiating from her.

And in that moment, I knew she was the moon goddess, I feel to my knees, bowing my head to her.

"You may rise Damon," She said.

I slowly stood up, but my head was still bowed down.

"I know you have so many questions running through your mind right now," She said softly.

"I gave you a second chance at life so you could resolve the grudge you hold. And about the dagger in your heart, if you can remember your brother's words, you'll know why it's there, now that dagger is only visible to you and someone else,"

I raised my head to look at her, her words were only confusing me the more.

"Don't be confused," She smiled.

"That dagger is only visible to you and someone else, no one else can see the dagger in your heart, and the other person who is able to see the dagger will be the only one able to pull it out. If you try to take it out yourself, you'll only hurt yourself the more,"

"Help me take this out moon goddess, I beg of you, I can't live with this," I cried.

"I'm sorry Damon, but I can't do that,"

Before I could say anything else, she vanished.

I went to the mirror and I stared at the dagger.

"Who is the moon goddess talking about?"

I came out and I could see the whole pack waiting for me, everyone had happy smiles on their faces, including Lucas and Kiara.

I balled my fist as I looked at the two of them standing close to each other, my blood boiled with rage as the image of their betrayal flashed through my mind.

My gaze met with Kiara's and she smiled, I didn't bother returning the smile, but there was also something I noticed.

I can't feel the mate bond.
