MELISSA’S POV

My eyes widened in fear and shock for her.

“Don’t move.” I said, hoping that would be a solution.

“They look hungry. I am dead already.” Dawn said.

Deep in my heart, I knew that it was already the end of her, but I wanted to encourage and instill confidence in her, before she was torn apart by the hungry wolves.

“Please do not forget to relay my message to Theo.” She said, with tears, running down her cheeks.

At that moment, I knew that there was no longer fear in her. She had accepted her fate that she was going to die, anytime soon.

“I will tell him how you died, like a confident warrior. A warrior who warred against fear.” I said as a tear rolled down my right eye.

And in a few seconds, the wolves snarled and pounced on her, tearing every bit of her into pieces, and she was no longer recognizable. This was so traumatizing to see, but I had to be strong in such a situation. I thought of Stefan, and how he would have felt, the moment he found out that I was nowhere to
