STEFAN’S POV

I couldn’t let Melissa die. I knew there were different circumstances that we both went through, and anyone who heard of our story, would never think that we would come out alive. I was going to keep having that belief that we would always come out alive, and unscathed, out of every trouble.

“Melissa! Please don’t do this to me!”

Her instincts kicked in and she jumped up, ready to tear me apart. I had a feeling like she really wanted to eliminate me. I felt the same way, the last time, too. It was strange, because that wasn’t the way she felt about me, truly, and although, her wolf would want to kill me naturally, but this one seemed like there was more to it.
