AUTHOR'S POV

Kaiden walked to his throne room, a scowl on his face and his hands behind his back. He was just about to prepare for bed when he received the mindlink that his Beta and the Elder wanted to have a word with him.

The crier at the door was about to announce his arrival when Kaiden lifts up his hand, stopping the crier from doing so. As he approaches, Miriyam and Elixir look at each other for one more assurance of courage and truthfulness.
