Victor's P.O.V
My world was almost complete. I had my Luna, my Laura finally. Now, just one thing was left. My revenge. I waltzed into my pack's boardroom room knowing that soon my world would be complete. Anya sat to the right of the head chair, my chair. She too sat with a huge grin spreading across her lips, practically bouncing in excitement. I was a little surprised to see Bella, messed hair, and a half-asleep look sitting beside her but did not say anything.
“Alpha Victor!” Rebbeka called, standing with her arms extended for an affectionate hug.
Chandler sat next to her, smiling widely at me as I embraced Rebbeka before shaking his hand. I was so grateful for those two, ever since my parents were murdered they stepped up, not just for mine and Anya’s benefit but for the whole pack.
“Domini” I nodded to the frowning man my Luna seemed so fond of, he seemed to have been lost in thought his face changing to a hesitant but friendly one.
“Alpha Victor!” He stood shaking my hand as Chandler did before looking away, seemingly going back inside his own thoughts.
I found myself staring at him, truly, why did my Laura see this man as her kin? I would have to ask her, I hoped she was ready to trust me as I did with her. I felt my heart flutter as her sleepy adorable face wandered into my mind. A smirk played on my lips as I recalled her teasing touch, her sensual nature.
“Alpha?”
Dimitri called his eyebrow raised, a smirk playing on his lips too as if he read my mind and his own hand extended. I mentally shook off the thoughts of my mate, business needed to be taken care of. Then I would be free to lavish love on her, let her consume my thoughts, and maybe even be lucky enough to feel her bit me again.
“Okay, now pleasantries are out of the way…” I sat down with a smirk still playing on my lips as Anya bounced next to me.
I glanced as Bella slapped her leg, her eyes narrowed. I suppressed the urge to laugh at the sight, of course, the Goddess would pair a morning person with a night owl.
“Coffee?” Rebbeka asked everyone in attendance, I smiled and nodded as everyone else called their order.
Chandler got up and immediately started preparing the drinks, Rebbeka passing them out once done. I smiled at both of them, again extremely grateful for them.
“Okay, now…” Chandler started speaking directly to me with an apologetic expression as Rebbeka huffed as if she was picking up something heavy.
A massive pile of unsorted papers, forms, reports, and mail was dropped in front of me with a large thud. I stared opened mouthed at her as she rolled her eyes.
“What? Did you seriously think I would waste all my time in here completing this stuff?” She asked gesturing her hand over the large stack with a look of disdain.
I sighed deeply, a tinge of regret at leaving her in charge washing over me as I wondered just how old some of this was…
“Ah, and well… some of that is overdue.” She mumbled as if half hoping I wouldn’t hear her.
I felt my irritation grow as Chandler shared a worried look with Rebbeka before trying to calm me down.
“Alpha, I took care of most of the important deals. Namely, the labor deal you brokered with the human business ‘Rodrik’s Building Company’…” He read from the top letter before handing it to me.
I inspected the deal giving him a satisfied nod at seeing an acceptable figure for the pack’s physical labor. It would keep us fed for another 3 months at least.
“Well, Chandler is better at that sort of stuff…” Rebbeka grumbled.
“Rebbeka, that may be the case but I left you in charge,” I spoke without looking up at her, sorting the first few pages into piles.
I could see that there were expense reports, wage claims from pack members, and more deals I needed to sign off on. Rebbeka catching the hint I was displeased sat back down in a huff.
“Vivi, where is our Luna?” Anya asked after a few moments of silence.
I glanced up to see everyone looking at me expectantly, I cursed myself for not bringing her. Of course, I had forgotten that she was an integral part of pack business.
“Forgive me, I have forgotten to include her.”
Rebbeka let out a soft chuckle, Domini scoffed and Bella sighed as if she was bored.
“Dimitri?” He stood up nodding, I was thankful to have a powerful witch-wolf in my pack and as my Beta.
Even when I did not agree, or like his decisions. My mind wandered back to finding my Laura paralyzed with those disgusting hunters. I should have killed them both for even daring to harm her, for looking at her with ill intent. And yet, there he was stopping me again. As he did with Clide. I knew his logic was sound, I knew why he stopped me but I still hated it. Something more was going on here, we needed to know what that was before I killed the wrong person.
“Our Luna will require some clothing as well Dimitri, Alex has not had enough time to work his touch.”
Dimitri gave me a curd nod before leaving, I brought my attention back to the group.
“Now, before she joins us. I want to make it very clear that from here on out there will be no secrets kept from her. We are mated now.”
Domini glared at me, almost disgusted causing a warning growl to escape my lips as I noticed his eyes dart to my neck where her mark would be. Bella and Anya both giggled with delight as Rebeka grinned like a proud parent.
“Domini, remind me,” I asked attempting to keep my composure and my rage from bubbling to the surface, today had been grand and I did not want to sully my mood. “Why did you leave out Luna alone? With a Beta in training and Bella?”
Bella frowned before opening her mouth as if to argue but Anya kicked her leg to keep her quiet. Domini glared at me obviously agitated by my tone.
“I did not willingly leave her… and I left her in capable hands…”
“You say that with hesitation.” Domini growled and crossed his arms as I spoke “Ellen, your mate, was injured dramatically, Bella thankfully got away with some minor scuffs. I wonder if your judgment had been clouded?”
Domini’s eyes had darkened at the mention of Ellen, I knew I had hit a sore spot.
“Ah… Alpha?” Bella mumbled, I glanced at her my eyebrow raised as Anya was shaking her head trying to get her to stop talking.
“There not… he’s not… I mean… they aren’t mates…” She flicked Domini a confused look as he growled again, slamming a fist onto the table.
“She is my mate.” He growled as I smirked, why had he not claimed her as soon as he knew? As soon as she had shifted?
I wanted to claim Laura as soon as I spied her, how he maintained control over those primal urges for so long.
“But she… she’s not marked…” Bella kept talking as Anya tried to cover her mouth as Domini began shaking violently.
I smirked again knowing he was close to shifting, a part of me excited to fight him. Curious, he must have Alpha blood in him.
A shake interrupted us, we all looked around confused.
“Was that an Earthquake?” Bella asked fearfully as Anya shook her head, her eyes twinkling in delight.
I met Domini’s eyes as we both reached the same conclusion, someone had shifted in the house. There was only one wolf that had not shifted yet living here, my mate, Laura.
We both stood at the same time, both of us sharing worried glances knowing that for her to shift without moonlight meant she was either suffering great pain or anguish.
“What did you do to her?” Domini seethed, hatred seeping from his words.
I growled back trying to fight the urge to slap him for even considering I would ever harm my own mate. Our eyes were locked as I felt him challenging my power, I prepared to shift to end this quickly when the building shook again. Without a second thought, I ran downstairs back to the spare room I had shared with her last night.
Domini right behind me we barged in, I stood surprised at first at the sight. Ellen sat next to a grinning Dimitri. A glorious, perfect pure white wolf stood tall, her back pushing against the ceiling as her hackles were raised at the danger. More surprise passed over me as I noticed Herman, he was bleeding badly from his jaw. It was jutted out at an odd position obviously broken. Laura let out the most primal, delicious growl I had ever heard begging my attention. I looked upon my mate, in her pure form and was just blown away by her perfect self. Her piercing Lavender eyes were glowing as her vampiric nature had awoken with her beast, I was so frozen with awe that I did not notice her lunge for Herman. Obviously smelling his blood and ready for a kill. I couldn’t let her do that, her heart was too pure, too young, and untouched by violence. It would destroy her.
“LAURA!” I felt myself growl, a strange new almost echo to it.
She stopped turning to me, her eyes were captivating, memorizing. I felt my body move towards her, no longer under my own control as the need to touch her overwhelmed me. She bowed her head as if directing me to exactly where to touch her, and when my hand connected with her I felt every single fear fade away. It was just me and her, that’s all that mattered and all that existed.
Victor paused at the doorway, with one hand unbuttoning his shirt to cover my naked body as best he could, I felt myself smirk as he growled in frustration as the shirt kept slipping off. Ellen giggled from behind us, throwing the blanket off the bed onto us both.“Wow, am I smarter than our own Alpha?” She teased as Victor rolled his eyes, wrapping me up as if I were a burrito.I was secretly pleased that Ellen seemed less and less scared of him as the days passed, after all, I was learning that he was all bark and no bite.I snuggled into his chest as we walked the halls, feeling exhausted and overwhelmed with my new senses. At least his scent overpowered all the others, his soft and steady heartbeat silenced the insistent noises from the house. He brought us into a new room, it was spacious as if it had not been finished yet. The walls and ceiling were a dull and boring off cream color, Victor put me down on a huge king bed with a white canopy. I
“What… Laura?” He asked hurriedly before briskly walking over to me, and glaring at Ellen. “What did you do?” “Me?” Ellen asked pointing to herself as he growled, “I didn’t do anything!” “She didn’t… Look… Victor… I’m… I’m sorry about… well about before…” I felt exasperated by the inner turmoil of emotions running through me. He gave me a strange look, before sighing and pressing his forehead against mine. I was surprised how sweet and loving his action felt, his skin seemed so pleasantly warm against mine instantly calming down that strange panic “My Luna, It’s okay. I may have reacted… well… a little overreaction really.” He sighed again before planting a light kiss on my forehead. “This room used to be my parents, I just never had the… desire or need to change it dramatically.” I felt more guilt bubble inside me as he kissed my forehead again. “You didn’t know, besides you are right.” He pulled away to give me a small yet sa
I had expected to be alone for a while once Ellen left to find Domini, and yet no sooner had she left Rebbeka was at the door. A grin plastered on her face, her eyes wide with joy at the mere sight of me. It made me somewhat uncomfortable, she seemed to see me as … as an actual Luna. “Luna!” She exclaimed happily letting herself in, glancing around in disdain at Victor’s room, almost in the same vein as I had. “I had assumed he would have… done something in here…” She mumbled to herself before standing a few meters away from me, one hand on her hip looking down at me with excited eyes. “Luna Laura, I’m sure you are quite busy at the moment… well after the events of today” she smirked as if holding back a giggle before her eyes narrowed and I saw a flash of anger that chilled me. “Of course Alpha Victor has advised me you are insisting on being present during… during the interrogation of the vampire.” She spat vampire with such pure hatred I felt my heart
“No… it’s can’t be true…” She whispered as Victor glared at her before glancing at me, worried. “What? What does that mean?!” I asked as Victor picked up another shirt covering the mark. “It means…” Victor sighed, pained. “That I am your second mate.” I stared blankly at him as Rebbeka looked between us horrified and confused. “As in... my second chance mate?” I asked hopeful, yet understanding what this really meant…. “No…” Rebbeka said softly, her eyes flicking back to my mark. “It means you have more than one.” I looked at Victor, my heart hurting at his jealous and pained expression. I didn’t want this… “So… he is her… first mate... ?” Rebbeka asked Victor nervously as if I was no longer in the room. Victor gave her a sad smile nodding, “that’s why I couldn’t kill him… I wanted to… fuck I still do… knowing… knowing that a part of her will always love him… no matter how far she is from him, no matter how hard
Hello everyone, I am sorry if this chapter update disappoints any of you as I am unable to reply/comment on chapters at the moment due to problems with my phone. Essentially, if you missed my last comment I have been having the worst luck recently, my laptop decided to play up (wouldn't turn on etc), my phone is an older model so I can not rely on that to update chapters so had left a previous comment advising that until I can get my laptop in a better state I am unable to update chapters. Today I have seen comments saying that the site is suggesting my book is completed, this is incorrect. I am doing my best to get my tech fixed or to find alternatives, I have managed to get some life into my laptop but are having issues with word. I also have a day job so unfortunately can not focus all my energy on this at once. I completely understand your frustrations and can tell you I am very frus
I felt conflicted as Victor re-dressed himself, part of me wanting nothing more than to never leave this moment. For once, I felt happy. Content even. I knew it was almost stupid of me to think that, but I couldn’t help it. It was as if as soon as my wolf had come upon me the world had shifted. I just knew I knew that I loved Victor. I wished I had of given the idea more credence sooner, and not wasted so much time chasing Xander. Xander… why did his name still bring that heaviness to me, was it true? That I had multiple mates?“My Luna?” Victor called me back to reality with a look of concern.I felt oddly guilty, as if it was wrong of me to have any remaining feelings towards him, that even the mere thought was somehow a slight against Victor. I took a deep breath before shaking my head and getting dressed myself.“Laura?” He repeated, his tone steady and yet his eyes showing a vulnerability I found hard to ignore.&

“Laura!” Xander’s voice called for me echoing around the dining room. I glanced up away from my drawing book to see his adorable face grinning at me. Xander was the son of my Alpha, my future Alpha and I was 99% sure my destined mate. He had a mop of dark brown messy hair and striking green eyes that he got from his mother the Luna Ashly. He gestured with his hand for me to follow him as he raced out of the room. I giggled to myself as my heart fluttered wondering what had got him all riled up. I followed him with haste, thinking about how lucky I was to have been taken in by the Alpha and Luna after my parent's deaths. “Wait up Xander!” I called with a huff unable to catch up to him, for a moment I wondered if he had been working out as normally I could keep up. He turned his head to smirk at me before running faster and I felt a pang of annoyance at his teasing. I chased him out through the front doors of our packhouse into the surrounding woods. I loved th

“I see…” He murmured darkly, his eyes flicking to Ellen as he scowled. “Don’t you dare look at her” I spat as his eyes looked back at me, his scowl sending a wave of fear through me. “Dimitri… my boy…” he spoke calmly without breaking eye contact with me, Dimitri had made it to the door, hand hovering over the handle. “I would choose your next action very carefully.” I flicked my eyes to Ellen, she was shaking in fear but readying herself to shift as Dimitri held up his hand at Herman, his eyes narrowing as if he was using great effort at something. He stared at Herman mouth agape in horror and surprise. “Why…” He muttered, I felt another wave of fear pass through me as Herman’s eyes bore into mine. “Why, Dimitri… you really didn’t consider what I am did you?” Herman stood slowly, turning to face him. I watched in horror as Dimitri’s face turned white as his eyes flickered between mine and Herman. “Now, be a good boy…” Herman s
