My eyes turned to the clock which was hanging on the wall in a corner in the house. It was almost the night of the next day and Rafael had not reached out ever since he dropped me off. He had said whatever he was going to do was not going to take so much time, it surprised me when he didn’t come home yesterday and now, he still wasn’t back. He had not reached out to me at all but when I asked Ella about him she had said that he was fine and had called to ask her to get something for him.

I felt really pathetic when I asked her if he had mentioned anything about me, but then she said he just called to give specific instructions. None of these instructions involved me apparently, he didn’t mention me once. It was obvious that he didn’t care about me as much as wanting to know how I felt after dropping me off.
