ATHENA

A lot is eating at the back of my mind as I storm out of their presence and head downstairs. The house felt quite choking right now and all I wanted was to feel the fresh air from outside on my skin. Everything that they did was proving to be extremely irritating to me and I didn’t know how to feel about any of this. Tears were threatening to drop from my eyes but I was desperately fighting to keep it all in. There was no way I was going to cry, certainly not in front of them. I was not going to give them the satisfaction of seeing that.

It had become very obvious to me that this girl was not here to just stay and leave. She was definitely trying to rile me up with everything that she said and I didn’t know how to feel about any of that. All what she had said had been to get on my nerves and I had allowed her. It had worked effectively and here I was in the garden now basically a slobbering mess.

I hated the fact that I had become this unrecognizable person. I knew I was better
