When Amy saw Thaddeus, she hopped out of her chair excitedly like a child.

Thaddeus knew that Amy's mentality had returned to when she was 19. He recalled the way they had interacted back then. She would talk about her whimsical ideas and voice out tons of unrealistic wishes. She would even whine at him to help her realize those ideas and wishes.

Back then, he was busy with work and immediately agreed to her requests when he got annoyed by her whines. But right now, he severely regretted doing so. His words had given her false hope, which also became a shackle that bound him to her.

"Amy, my meeting is about to begin. Don't disrupt me and get back to the hospital," said Thaddeus.

Amy frowned. "I don't want to! I'll keep you company! I won't cause you any trouble."
