STEVE'S POV

From the beginning of this all, I have always blamed the friend for putting Beth in the spotlight and getting her in trouble but now, now that I get to be in the presence of said friend and even get to communicate with her, I wasn't so sure. Just as Beth had risked her life for her, she too was also willing to do the same and even more for Beth.

"What do we do?" She asked, running her hands into her already disheveled hair. She did that a couple of times in an attempt to get it out of her face but all she managed to do was get it on the face even more.

"What do we do?" I repeated her question, not expecting an answer from her but from myself. I was saying it out to see if I had an answer for that and I did. "We wait" I replied curtly to both her and myself, my eyes focused on a single corner of the room, deep in thought.
