《The next day》
~Heaven café~
After Ezekiel left the house last night, Alyssa never set eyes on him again. She knew where he had spent the night but she didn't care anymore. She had finally made the decision to end her marriage with him so whatever he does with his life is none of her business any longer.
She was at the café with Lily, just lazing around as there were no customers at that moment when we heard a loud revving sound. She looked outside only to see a fancy looking sports car entering the driveway.
Alyssa sighed deeply when she realized who owned the car. The sports car was Ezekiel's gift to Cindy on her last birthday. She knew that because Cindy never failed to show it off at every given opportunity she had.
After she had parked the car, Cindy emerged out of it, wearing a fancy looking short dress and heels to match. She really looked like a model. It was so surprise that someone like Ezekiel would fall deeply in love with her.
"What is that bitch doing here??" Lily asked with a deep frown on her face when she saw Cindy.
Alyssa knew what she had come to do; himilate her as always while keeping on an innocent face. She catwalked into the building, her hips moving side to side as she walked.
"Alyssa." She called out with a fake smile when she laid her eyes on her.
"What do you want?" Lily asked her as she stood in front of Alyssa like a human shield, ready to defend her.
"Woah.. woah.. easy. What's up with the defensive stance??" Cindy asked in amusement.
"What are you here, Cindy?" Lily asked again, more serious than the first time.
"To buy a cup of coffee of course." She answered.
"Really?? That's what you came here for?" Lily asked again, her tone filled with disbelieve.
"Why else would I be at this cafe?" She asked back.
Lily stared at her silently, trying to see through her while Cindy gave her a fake innocent smile. Alyssa knew that there was no way to stop her from getting what she wanted so she signalled to Lily that she wpukd go get her order.
Lily tried to stop her but Alyssa gave her a small reassuring smile so Lily sighed and let her do what she wanted to.
"How would you like your coffee?" Lily asked her.
"Why can't the person preparing it ask me the question?" Cindy asked back, irritating Lily the more. Lily was about to retort when Alyssa shook my head, indicating that she should hold back.
Lily grumbled under her breath, angry that Alyssa let Cindy treat her that way she is not knowing that how hard Alyssa was tryung to hold back. Alyssa knew what would happen if she insulted or attacked Cindy.
She didn't want Ezekiel to unleash his wrath on Lily; that was the only reason she let Cindy walk over her.
"I want it with little sugar, no milk and really hot." Alyssa arched her brows, wondering why she would order her coffee that way when she loved sugary things.
Alyssa held her tongue, deciding not to ask any questions and got to work. She prepared the coffee the way she wanted it and served it to her on a small tray. Cindy took a large sip and spat out everything immediately.
Alyssa wasn't able to react on time so the contents splattered all over her face and clothes, drenching her body. Since it had already been in Cindy's mouth, it wasn't as hot as the remaining ones in the mug.
"What the fuck!!!" Cindy screamed out as she fanned her mouth. Alyssa on the ityer hand stood at at spot, filled with shock at her sudden reaction.
"What the hell is wrong with you??" Lily asked as she rushed over to Alyssa’s side.
"Are you okay?" She asked me as she helped Alyssa wipe the coffee dripping from her face.
Alyssa’s anger was slowly building up but she tried to keep herself calm. She couldn't put the lives of both her unborn baby and Lily in danger all because a spoilt bitch.
"Sorry.. I didn't realise that you were there." Cindy uttered as she sent Alyssa a smug smile.
"Really? You didn't do this on purpose?" Lily asked back.
"I'm not at fault. I don't know why she had to make the coffee so hot and bitter. I would have hurt my mouth if I hadn't spat it out." Cindy replied.
"Weren't you the one that ordered it that way?" Lily asked again as she attempted to lounge at her but Alyssa held her back.
"I did?? When??" Cindy asked with a small chuckle.
"I guess the issue you have with your voice is slowly affected both of your ears because I never and would never order my coffee that way." Cindy mocked.
"Lily, a word of advice; you should limit the way you associate with her because she is clearly affecting you in the wrong way." She muttered.
Alyssa balled my fists tightly, trying so hard to calm herself down as she listened to her hurtful words. She kept telling herself that she wasn't worth it and to just let her be.
"Oh.. and for the horrible coffee, have this.." She threw out a bunch of dollar bills.
"Catch you later." She muttered with a smirk and turned on her heels. She was about to leave when Lily suddenly pulled herself from Alyssa’s hold, picked up the remaining coffee and poured it on her back.
"Argghh!!" Cindy screamed out in pure agony as the hot coffee burnt her flesh.
"You fuckung bitch!!" She cussed out as she danced on her spot. Her pale skin had turned bright red. She had no blister as her wolf was healing the burn but it was obvious that it still hurt her.
"Now you know how it feels!!" Lily said with a wicked smile.
"You!! You'll pay for this!! I'll make sure Ezekiel punish you for this!!" She said to Alyssa, her face red with pain and anger. She knew she couldn't fight back as Lily would easily over power her and that made her angrier.
"Take your money because you obviously need it more than us now." Lily said as she picked up the dollar bills and threw it at her. Cindy couldn't bear the pain anymore as she ran out of the café wuth tears in her eyes.
After she had left, Alyssa finally got out of her shocked state. "Why did you do that?" she asked in sign language.
"Someone needed to teach that bitch a lesson. I couldn't stand the way she was talking to you." Lily answered.
"But.."
"Hush now. Let's forget about her. She deserved it and that's all that matters." Lily said, cutting her off.
Alyssa stared at her in worry, wondering what Ezekiel was going to do to her. She knew he wasn't going to let her go scot free if Cindy goes crying to him. She needed to make sure Lily is safe because she took that action for her.
She was still thinking about the next step to take when she recieved a text message from the hospital she was admitted in yesterday. They texted to inform her that her medical report had been sent to her emergency contact address.
The moment she read that, she was filled with panic. If Ezekiel sees the report, he would find out about her pregnancy and her baby's life would be at stake. She rushed back home immediately to intercept the document.
Thankfully, ehe managed to retrieve it on time before anyone else could. She took the document with her and locked it in a drawer in her closet. She sighed deeply, rest assured that she wasn't caught by anyone.
That night, she was about to head to bed when she recieved a call from Lily. He stared at her phone, surprised as to why Lily would call her at such a time. She placed the phone on her ear after picking the call.
"Alyssa.." Lily's voice sounded but it sounded so distant and pained unlike the way it was earlier that day. At some point, Alyssa could hear her sobbing.
Alyssa sat up on her bed immediately, realising that Ezekiel had hurt Lily, all because of Cindy.
Alyssa’s heart hurt deeply as she heard the deep pain engraved in her voice. It was more painful that she couldn't even utter any word to ask where she was. She knew this was going to happen but why did she have to leave her on her own??"It should be me instead. Ezekiel should have inflicted the pains on me. Lily only did what she did to defend me." Alyssa thought to herself in pain. It was really frustrating that she could only listen to her so she ended the call without warning. She sent her a text asking her where she was and she replied immediately; sending Alyssa the address to the hospital she was admitted in. Alyssa stood up from her bed and put on better clothes before rushing out of the house.☆☆☆☆☆Alyssa took in deep breathes, trying to catch her breath as she stood in front of the huge hospital building. She had practically ran down here because she forgot to take her phone and some cash with her. She heaved one last time before entering the building. She didn't bother to
"You and your friend are nothing but trouble." Ezekiel added as he rubbed his head tiredly. His next few words got stuck on his throat the moment he saw the look in her eyes.It seemed like she was about to cry. He had always enjoyed making her cry so what was wrong now? Why is he suddenly feeling regrets? She deserved every hate that was coming from him so he shouldn't feel any hint of compassion for her."If I'm nothing but trouble to you, why don't you sign the divorce papers?" Alyssa asked him in sign language and he went still immediately. She still hadn't let go of the thought of leaving him. What else did he have to do to show her that there wasn't any escaping from him ever?? He will only let go of her when he's done.He could also feel the anger from his wolf as they were one. He was about to say something when his wolf suddenly took over. His eyes turned glowing red but the reaction from Alyssa wasn't something he had expected. She moved back a little and batted her eyelashe
As Alyssa watch Ezekiel leave with his lover in his arms, she felt deep pain that she had never felt before. Watching him act like she didn't exist made deep cuts in her heart, damaging her the more. How could he be so cruel to her? Even though he hated her, couldn't he feel the mate bond drawing them together? Did he hate her that much that it was able to triumph over their unbreakable mate bond?Alyssa sighed and blinked away tears from her eyes. She needed to pull herself back to reality. Their mate bond is nothing compared to what he felt for Cindy. She needed to realize and accept that she was nothing to him; that way, it wouldn't hurt this much. She wiped her tears and turned towards Lily. All that matters is how to get her out of this mess she put her in.She pulled a stool and positioned it closed to Lily's bed before she sat on it."I'm so sorry Lily, it's all my fault." She muttered sadly as she held her hands tightly. She stayed that way, watching Lily sleep peacefully, her
"I Alyssa Gray reject you Ezekiel Crawford." She spoke her first sentence ever.Ezekiel felt a sharp pain in his heart the moment he heard that. His wolf wasn't left out either. He could hear him howling in pain from within. It felt like his heart was being pierced by a sharp knife."W..why??" He stuttered out painfully. Never had he thought she would ever utter those painful words."I don't want to be trapped in this loveless marriage anymore. Please let me go." She muttered, not caring how pained he looked. From the first day they met, he had always noticed the look she gave him. She never bothered to hide how deeply she was in love with but now that he was staring at her, he noticed how much she had changed. Her eyes that used to hold warmth and deep affection for him had suddenly changed to a cold one that was filled with pain, anger, resentment and deep regret."But you love me.." He muttered."I did but not anymore. All that I feel for you at the moment is sheer disappointment.
《Earlier that day》Ezekiel wasn't really expecting Alyssa to come back to the operating room on her own because of they way she had begged and fought to not have the surgery. When he noticed her change in emotions, he wondered what might have gone wrong with Lily. Did he do something irreversible to her? He wanted to ask what was going on but he held himself back. He didn't want to give her any delusions that he still cared. As the surgery went on, Ezekiel waited outside the room. He appeared calm to others but inside, he was filled with anxiety and worry about Alyssa's surgery.Even though the doctor had already assured him that it would be successful, it didn't really put him at ease. All of a sudden, he felt someone standing beside him.It was Cindy. Since she already had her plan in motion, she figured her and Ezekiel would finally be together after Alyssa's surgery but what she didn't expect was his reaction."What are you doing here?" He suddenly asked coldly."I figured I shoul
☆Five years later☆•~Grim hunters pack~Alyssa was dressed in a white chef's coat with a net cap covering her hair as she busily worked in the kitchen, crafting new pastries. The restaurant, "Sweet Momemts" was filled to the brim by customers that wanted to have a taste of the Alyssa's famous desserts. It's been five whole years since Alyssa decided to leave Moonstone keepers pack, a place that was supposed to serve as solace for her but ended up scarring her deeply.Five years since she decided to leave her past behind and start a new life with Lily and her unborn child and five years of not regretting her decision once.Since leaving Moonstone keepers pack, she and Lily used the money they managed to gather in their once opened café and they rented a small storefront. It wasn't really easy as she was pregnant at that time but thanks to her exquisite baking skills and unique creativity, accompanied by Lily's constant support, they were able to make the business flourish.Little by li
Ezekiel whom had been lost in his thoughts was snapped back to the present when he heard his name being called repeatedly by Simon.Simon was briefing him on decisions that needed his attention, though Ezekiel thought that many of them could be handled by his Beta."We have an upcoming elite gathering this evening and as Alpha, you're supposed to attend it." Simon reminded Ezekiel and he nodded in understanding. He understood but his pack had lacked a Luna since Alyssa's departure. How was he going to attend without his Luna? Hearing his words, his wolf couldn't help but scoff."Like you have ever thought of taking her to any of the pack's gathering before.. Even though she was still here, you would never have thought of bringing her to the event." He mocked.Ezekiel knew it was the truth and that only made him angry. He couldn't stand his wolf constantly reminding him about how badly he had treated Alyssa so he blocked off the connection with him.No matter how his wolf made it seem
"Why don't you get yourself a girlfriend even though you haven't found your mate? At least if you have one, you wouldn't have to visit us occasionally." Lily argued after finding out about his intentions of traveling to Grim hunters pack.Alyssa listened inattentively as they argued amongst themselves as she was already used to their constant bickering but her ears perked up the moment she heard Louis accidentally mentioned something about Ezekiel."You think I don't wish to have a girlfriend? It's a mess here you know, since Ezekiel doesn't have a Luna yet, getting a girlfriend would seem unacceptable." Louis answered unknowingly. It wasn't what she had expected to happen after their separation and that only piqued her interest. Lily paused and stared at Alyssa to see if she had any reaction to what Louis had just said but she just stared down silently like she was deep in thoughts. With a nervous chuckle; "What are you even saying?" She asked as she tried to change the subject but L
A low growl let Ezekiel's mouth after he released in her. He collapsed on her but held his weight with his hand from crushing her fragile body. He could hear her soft pants and low moans which were like music to his ears.No matter how angry he gets with her, a session with her was always enough to cool him off. He raised up his head which were on her shoulders and stared at her beautiful face. Her long black hair was all over her sweaty face, sticking unto her flesh. He raised his hands up and was about to move the hair covering her face when she suddenly pushed him away and moved to the other side of the bed like someone was chasing her.He stared at her in both surprise and confusion, wondering why she suddenly ran away from him. She had just been screaming out his name at the top of her lungs few seconds ago."Is she trying to act like she didn't know what she was doing?" Ezekiel asked himself with a sudden burst of amusement. His amusement quickly vanished when he saw the look on
After seeing the picture sent from the unknown number, Alyssa placed her phone on the table and continued with what she was doing. She didn't want to think about anything concerning Ezekiel nor Cindy so she drowned herself with work. She worked so meticulously in tidying up the bakery with Louis and within a few hours, they were done. After that, Louis offered to drive her to Aiden's school to help pick him up and she agreed immediately. It was easier to do that than to wait to board a taxi, leading to the unnecessary waste money. After she picked Aiden from his school, Louis drove them back to the mansion."Thank you so much for today. The workload would have been more hectic for me if not for your help." Alyssa thanked sincerely as she as she stared at the mansion's huge gate before them."It's fine. Just make sure to let me know whenever you need help with anything. I'm just a phonecall away." Louis said with a small assuring smile."I will." Alyssa answered as she climbed out of t
Ezekiel woke up feeling better than he did the day before. His wounds had already started healing but it was just a gradual process. He still felt pains on the deeper cuts.As he tried to sit up on the hospital bed, he felt the weight of someone holding him down. His insides bubbled happily as he thought Alyssa came back to stay with him. He had sent Cindy away yesterday so the only person who would be here with him should be Alyssa.Well, that was his hope bit it quickly faded away when he turned to his side and saw Cindy sleeping next to him like a baby. The initial joy he had slowly faded away and was replaced with disappointment. That still didn't stop him from searching for Alyssa as he thought she would still come back to him. There's no way she would ever leave him alone at the hospital. She wasn't that heartless."Alyssa?" He called out as his eyes wandered around his ward frantically. His loud voice disrupted Cindy's sleep and she woke up immediately."You're awake.." She mut
Alyssa boarded a taxi and it drove them back to the mansion as per her request. She paid the driver before entering into the huge building with Aiden by her side.It was already late and Aiden had eaten to his fill back at the restaurant so she took him straight into their room. Even though Ezekiel had already prepared a separate room for Aiden, she still didn't let him out of her sight. She never trusted anyone in the mansion. Back when she was the only one there, she knew how much she had suffered in the hands of everyone living there. She doesn't even let the servants touch her son or even prepare any food to feed him because she knew no one there liked her. They all worked for her enemies so she was always on guard whenever she was around them. Some people might call her a paranoid person but after what had happeend at the restaurant today, her actions became justified. She realized that as long as she stayed there, she couldn't trust just anyone here in Moonstone keepers pack.Ev
Ezekiel made Alyssa and Aiden ride with him to the hospital. Since he was badly injured, one of the wolf warriors that helped subdue the rogue drove the car.He didn't want any other complications with Alyssa so he didn't let Cindy use the same car they used despite her trying to convince him that she should be the one to go with him.The ride to the hospital was suffocatingly silent and unbearable for Ezekiel. Even though Alyssa had chosen to accompany him to the hospital, she still didn't really cared much about his situation. At first, he thought it was fine as long as she came with him, he thought he only needed her presence but now, he knows he wanted mre than that. She was close to him but she didn't even spare him one glance. She poured all of her attention on Aiden, tenderly soothing him while he was made to watch from across the vehicle. She was supposed to be treating him that way because he was the injured one.He hoped she would at least spare him a short glance. Even thou
The wave had been calmed but Alysssa still felt an inner turmoil. The rogue that attcked them was definitely no ordinary one. One could easily tell he was either sent to kill her son or just had a grudge with the child. Why would a rogue who haven't even crossed paths with her son before have a grudge with him to the extent that it would try to end him?? It was definitely not the latter. She was sure someone had hired the rogue. She didn't know about anyone she had offended in Grim hunter's pack but here in Moonstone keepers pack, she knows she has a lot of enemies. There are a whole bunch of people that hated her but she never expected they would go after her son. Worst of all, she can't pinpoint who sent the rogue now that it is dead.Seeing the dead rogue reminded her of her past. How her family and pack were said to be wiped out by them. Though she doesn't remember how it happened, it still gave her chills. If the rogue hadn't been subdued, would she have lost another person that
Seeing the rogue wolf lunge towards his family at full force, Ezekiel set to action immediately. He didn't waste any time as all that was in his mind was protecting them at all cost.Forgetting he could shift into his full wolf form too, he ran towards his family and shielded them with his body from harm. The rogue's sharp and long claws dug into his brand shoulders, sending searing pain to his back.Since he had used his human form to block the attacks, the pain hit him worse than it should have but he didn't flinch as protecting his family was his top priority. At that moment, something hurt him more than the pain should have. When he shielded Alyssa and Aiden with his body, his eyes met with Alyssa's and he didn't miss how shocked she was and the look of disbelief that was all over her face as she watched him shield her and their son from harm. Her disbelief increased when she saw the blood seeping through his back. The emotions he saw on her face hurt more than the wound he got fr
It's been a week since Ezekiel had that clash with Alyssa. A week since he's last been in close proximity with her. He's been avoiding her so he doesn't have to hear her demands of accepting her rejection. He had already made the decision of not letting her go. No matter how hard she tries or whatever she does to him, he was never going to let her and his son go.So he made the choice to avoid her so she doesn't have to bring the topic up to his face anymore. Hearing her mention rejection only reminds him of her departure years ago and it breaks his heart the more.It hurts him so bad that after all these years that had passed, all the years they had spent being separated, she still didn't feel the loneliness he did. She still chose to walk away again and again.Being away from her felt like hell but that was the only thing he could do to keep her with him. Even though he couldn't be really close to her, she was still with him and she wasn't leaving anytime soon.To reduce the extreme
Louis never expected to cross paths with Alyssa this way even though he was well aware that Ezekiel had brought her back. Seeing her again only stirred up feelings he had tried so hard to suppress. He didn't know how she could do it but she was looking more beautiful than than the last time he saw her. He was so happy to meet her again but it didn't look like she felt the same way.Upon seeing him, she stood up immediately and turned to leave but he was fast enough to catch up with her. He was disappointed that she didn't feel the same happiness he felt but he couldn't blame her.Their last meeting didn't really end up in a good tone so she might have just felt awkward in front of him. He put on a bright smile to cover up his feelings and called out to her again."Alyssa.." He said as he turned to stand in front of her.Alyssa groaned inwardly. Who would have thought she would see him here again. Now, Lily wasn't here with her to help out. Seeing there was no way out of the situation,
