Chapter 23 Marked at Last.

"Phew, they're still asleep," I sigh in relief as I lay them on my bed.

Ever since we returned with the boys they've been deep asleep, and not blinked even once.

At first, I was concerned and wanted to raise an alarm but Dexter, who seems to have known the situation, had a doctor come over as soon as we made our way back.

The doctor wasted no time in finding out what was wrong and I was told that they were drugged but it wasn't anything lethal and they would wake up in a few hours but the day was already over so I have no other option than to wait till tomorrow.

"Dexter, we need to talk," I yell, barging in unannounced into his room.

"..."

Our eyes meet as soon as I open the door, Dexter stares at me with a bandage in his hand and his teeth in between.

My eyes descend lower and I notice a huge scratch mark on his chest, it's red and quite open, I'm certain it stings.

But how did he get this and when?

"Can't you knock," Dexter roars I'm taken back with a flinch?

"What's with that scar?
