Rose's POV

Lost in my thoughts, I barely registered the murmurs and whispers around me as the meeting came to an end. The hall began to empty, and I found myself standing alone in the midst of the departing crowd. It was as if the weight of my emotions had rendered me invisible, an insignificant figure lost in the sea of shifting bodies.

With a heavy sigh, I turned towards the exit, my feet dragging on the polished wooden floor.
