Chapter 99

Royal's POV

With a screeching sound, the car finally came to a stop, the smell of burning rubber filled the air, causing me to cough. My heart pounded in my chest as the adrenaline coursed through my veins.

Fear and panic gripped me as I looked around me and my eyes widened with horror as I stared at the scene before me. What just happened?

Everything turned around in just a few minutes. The front of our cab was mangled, and the windshield shattered into a thousand shiny shards.

The other vehicle involved in the collision lay on its side, emitting thick smoke from its engines.

I heard a loud noise as bystanders rushed towards us in the car wreck, their concerned voices echoing in my ears.

Taking a deep breath, I unbuckled my seatbelt and pushed open the car door.

Waves of pain through my body, but I pushed it aside, trying to reach the unconscious driver.

"Hey, Mister," I called out to him, my voice trembling, "Are you okay?" I asked, tapping him.
