My heart skipped a beat as her words sank in, the weight of betrayal settling heavily upon my shoulders. The cup slipped from my trembling hands, crashing to the ground, shattering into pieces. Anger and disbelief surged through me, and I took dragged myself back, my voice barely a whisper.
