I stood there, eyes darting back and forth between father and son, as they argued. There was an eerie feeling of emptiness overwhelming me as I stood there.

Eggust was bent on letting his mum stay in the cell. He wasn’t willing to listen to my pleas, or even his father’s. He was adding more fuel to the fire, urging the officers to carry out their duties as instructed by the law.

He wasn’t fazed by Sylvester’s presence nor frightened by his words, Eggust was one stubborn being and not even me could change that. If his mind was made up about something, best believe you need to go extra mile to make him change it.

Before Sylvester arrived at the station, I shared the news of the test result to Eggust. I wasn’t even sure if I was ready for how overprotective he would become now that he knew I was pregnant with more than one baby but I said it to make him change his mind.
