Jerome opened the door as Debbie pressed the doorbell.

She arrived fifteen minutes after their call.

When he opened the door, her face was a mix of happiness and shock.

"Oh my God! Jerome, what happened to you, you are not looking like yourself!" Debbie gasped with concern, bringing her hands close to his face but he moved back and opened the door wide for her, then returned inside and sat down.

Debbie frowned and trilled behind him.

"What you did was mean, hope you know that." Debbie scoffed, balancing on the chair.

"I did what?" Jerome questioned, coldly.

"You almost shut the door on my face!" Debbie half yelled.

"Life itself is mean. Now tell me why you are here." Jerome giggled mischievously.

"I'm here to check on you, Jerome," Debbie said.

"Hahaha, oh, I see. You are here to check on how miserable I am so you can laugh at me, huh?" Jerome chuckled painfully.
