*The next day*

It was early in the morning, and Jerome woke up, having it in mind to visit Debbie at her office as she told him to yesterday.

He went to the kitchen and made a quick breakfast, as he had returned Stacy to the hospital yesterday night since the doctor had already instructed her not to stay up late.

He arranged the food in a basket, added some chocolates, and took them to the car.

He entered the car and zoomed off.

Debbie came to the company looking pale, suffering from a huge migraine.

Her eyes were puffy and red, and her face was pale and swollen.

She dived into her mails immediately, trying hard not to recall Liam or his betrayal.

She heard a soft knock on the door and her eyes were fixed on the door.

"Come in," Debbie replied, rubbing her forehead as it hurt.

The door was opened gently and Jerome walked in.

Debbie was surprised. Yes, she was expecting him to come but knowing how egocentric Jerome was, she thought he wouldn't.

"Oh, Jerome, um. Welcome, have a seat."
