Chapter One
Maya’s POV“Please don't kill me , please mother don't do this . My entire body hurts a lot already”I pleaded with tears already forming in my eyes.“Who is your mother? How dare you call me mother , If I had my way I will make sure you disappear from our life !” she shouted while looking around her eyes landed on the wooden stick.“I'm so sorry, I'm having a menstrual cramp so I couldn't do what you asked me to” I said with a shaky voice knowing that she will hit me with whatever her hands find , this is not the first or last time that she is hitting and abusing me.As I stood there, my heart pounding in my chest, I could hardly believe the cruelty unfolding before my eyes.My stepmother, a woman whose heart seemed devoid of any kindness, swung the stick towards my way with so much energy and wickedness that sent shivers down my spine. The harsh bristles met my skin with each forceful strike, causing me to cry out in pain and desperation."Help! Someone, please help me!" I screamed, my voice trembling as I tried to break free from her attack because my entire body felt so weak and painful.“Stop screaming, you wicked and lazy witch ! I told you to sweep the house , wash my clothes , the cars and sweep the dog shit but you were busy lying down on bed, you useless and shameless common omega!” she shouted at me“Please don't hit me, I'm weak already and I promise to do the house chores “ I said crying but stepmother's eyes bore into mine, devoid of any compassion, and I could see the twisted pleasure she derived from seeing me suffer. Her lips curved into a wicked smirk, as if relishing every moment of my agony. In her twisted mind, I was nothing more than a burden, a constant reminder of a past she wished to erase. As she hit me with the stick once again, I instinctively raised my hands to shield myself from the painful blows.Tears streamed down my face, mingling with the dust and grime that clung to my cheeks. My body trembled not just from the pain but from the sheer fear of what might come next. The room seemed to spin around me, the air heavy with tension and fear. I felt trapped, both physically and emotionally. It feels like I am a prisoner in my own home.My father, once a pillar of strength, was now a distant memory, taken from me by a cruel twist of fate because he started getting drunk and acting strange after my real biological mother died terribly when a black giant rogue werewolf with silver eyes attacked her 5 years ago right in front of me.I vowed to look for that rogue werewolf and avenge my mother's death when I get stronger someday but right now in the absence of my father's love and protection, I was left at the mercy of this wicked woman who claimed to be my family. When my father told me that he was getting married to Rebecca, my mother's best friend who was babysitting me and my baby brother Haden when my mother died …I thought that she will continue to be nice to me and her daughter who is the same age with me would be my best friend and a sister but those two made sure that I suffered and they treated me like a slave in my own father's house.Haden is the only reason I didn't run away from home, I chose to stay in this abusive house so that I can protect him whenever he gets bullied by my father , stepmother and sister.“Dear moon goddess, please help me.” I kept praying for a guardian angel,a mate maybe, or a kind soul who would hear my desperate cries and come to my aid because my neighbours didn't care about helping me .“You're a dumb child and stop pretending that you are experiencing menstrual cramps because that only proves that you are just a weak omega!” she shouted , I couldn't take the beating anymore and decided to jerk my body away from her and run away.I mustered all the strength I could find within myself, and with a newfound determination, I made a desperate dash towards the door. But my stepmother's cruel laughter followed me like a haunting echo, and she swiftly caught hold of my tattered dress, pulling me back into her clutches."Oh, you think you can escape, don't you?" she spat, her voice a venomous hiss. "You're nothing but a wretched girl, a burden on this household. Nobody wants a weak motherless omega, and nobody will come to your rescue!"Her words stung, striking deep into my wounded heart. But I refused to believe her poisonous lies. I knew I deserved better, that I was worth more than the hatred she directed at me.Summoning all the courage I had left, I looked into her eyes and said, "You may think you've broken me, but you're wrong. Someday I will be truely happy and I won't be under your wickedness anymore."Just as the stick descended, a loud knock sounded on the door, both of us stopped and freezed. A voice called out from the other side, "Is everything alright in there? I heard a voice shouting and some commotions”My stepmother's eyes darted towards the door, and I seized the opportunity to break free from her grasp. With adrenaline coursing through my veins, I rushed to the door and threw it open, revealing my father's drunken face as he stood there with a worried expression on his face.Seeing my tear-streaked face and dishevelled appearance, father’s eyes widened in concern. "What's going on, dear? Are you alright?"I couldn't hold back the flood of emotions any longer.“Father , I'm tired and I feel sick . Tell mother to stop hitting me please “ I cried into his arms hoping that he would support and defend me when he saw the bloody bruises on my arms but he gave me a disgusted look and pushed me off his body.“Welcome home honey” My stepmother went and hugged my drunk father while giving him a slurry kiss right in front of me which made me so angry that he could forget my mother so easily and I continued crying louder.“Stop crying like a child and get your act together. I have found a mate for you since you are more than 18 years and still haven't found your fated mate“ father said with a bored look on his face“A mate ?” I whispered unbelievably. Could this be my ticket to freedom? Even though that's not my deepest dreamChapter Two Maya's POV Everyone who got a mate should be happy and excited but then why do I have a bad feeling about this one? My guts is telling me that something is wrong even though I desperately want a mate so that I can finally leave this prison called my home. “But why all of a sudden when he is not my fated mate by the moon goddess and who is this mysterious man ?” I asked, looking at my father with confusion all over my face.“Because you need to leave this house and get lost, you remind me about your dead mother especially when you don't shut up and just obey my instructions! Assuming your mother obeyed me that fateful day and didn't go out, that black rogue wolf would have not killed her and now I'm alone suffering with the burdens of you and your brother!” he said bitterly , his nose flaring while his drunk eyes got more red. “What if I don't love the guy or what if he doesn't love or like me…father, I don't even know him?” I complained while ignoring the sharp pain i
Chapter Three “Hello, Hello Maya are you still there .What's going on, should I call 911?” Eve kept shouting over the phone that I didn't know I was still holding to my ears. I quickly hung up and tried my best not to look all flustered “Meet your mate , Delta Jacob. Come and kneel down to greet him properly before you go and get dressed like a proper lady” Father said with so much disappointment and disgust in his voice. But I didn't care ,all my attention was on Delta Jacob. I pictured him to be an old man with a big pot belly and bald hair since father said that he is a loan shark but the man standing before me looks like a damn prince and I have never seen any man this handsome , even when I was in highschool. As I stood there in the living room, my heart pounded loudly in my chest, and my cheeks flushed with embarrassment. It was just an ordinary day, or so I thought, until he stepped further wearing that black leather jacket that seemed to enhance every inch of his perfectly
Chapter Four Maya’s POVMy heart raced asI stood in front of my step sister Stella's closed bedroom door. The faint sound of hushed whispers was what made me curious. I raised my trembling hand and slowly turned the doorknob, my breath caught in my throat. What I just saw inside shattered my world. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow from the bedside lamp casting an intimate shadow of two people having sex.My eyes widened as they fell upon Stella entwined with a figure I recognized all too well Delta Jacob. Their naked bodies moved together and they kissed each other in a passionate way that I had never seen before. Each touch, each whisper and moan seemed to echo in my chest, a painful reminder of what was unfolding before my eyes.My heart, once full of innocent hopes and dreams, now ached with a painI could hardly bear. Tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision as the truth stabbed at my heart like a thousand needles. Unable to tear my gaze away, I watched as Stella and De
Chapter Five Maya’s POV Boobs.I can feel a stranger’s strong and large hands pressing down on my boobs, that’s the first thing my fuzzy brain registered. I tightened my eyes which were already closed as I tried to make my aching and blank head remember what on earth is going on since I don’t have the energy to lift my sore body up and face the pervert taking advantage of the situation and my body.“Young lady, try and open your eyes if you can hear me '' came the stranger's baritone voice before I could open my eyes and see what’s going on in my surroundings. I felt his lips briefly on mine, the lips were firm yet gentle on my before it left my mouth. I let it go the first time thinking it was a mistake and I was in some kind of messed up dream but then the strong yet soft lips came down on my mouth again and captured my lips again but this time around the stranger parted my lips with his mouth which made my mouth open wider. “Am I in heaven or is this a dream ?” I thought . I cou
Chapter Six Maya’s POV I knew that something was wrong the moment I woke up from sleep. I had a bad feeling about today but I brushed it off. I am tired , heartbroken and not in a very good mood so I ignored my instincts and noticed that the house is awfully quiet when I was walking down stairs towards the dining room which is close to the kitchen. My family loves to gist, argue or watch the television loudly but the house seems too quiet today, no music was playing in the background and I also didn’t hear the sound of Haden playing around which made me really suspicious.I woke up pretty late today ,I stared into the mirror with my dishevelled hair and SpongeBob pyjamas to rehearse what I will tell my parents since I still haven’t heard a word from Delta Jacob since last night and my face is still red and visibly swollen up from the swimming pool accident I had last night. The large amount of concealer I dabbed to my face still couldn’t hide it.“Mother , what’s wrong ?” I asked ,
Chapter Seven Maya’s POV “Jacob, how could you do this to me and my family, what did we do to you to make you betray us?!”I tried shouting through the tape on my mouth but it only came out as a small muffle with no one paying attention to me.“Tell them what you saw before reporting to me…” said Alpha Aaron, commanding Jacob who still looked like a little child despite his long height in the presence of Alpha Aaron’s brooding presence.Delta Jacob, my supposed fated mate who cheated on me with my step sister didn't even spare me a glance as he went to stand beside Alpha Aaron with a grim expression looking at father. “Alpha Aaron, I saw this poor and low ranking Omega Lucas exchanging packages with another omega from our enemies pack, the Nightshade Pack and coincidentally, one of our power plants got attacked on the same night. I even have a picture evidence ….” Said Jacob bringing out his phone and showing a picture to Alpha Aaron before bringing it toward our face and true , ther
Chapter Eight Maya’s POV I was too heartbroken to even take note of where the car is driving me to , I silently kept crying because I am scared of what lies ahead and I’m also worried about my family. What if the Alpha King comes back to hurt them? So many things and questions kept coming up in my head , the biggest of it all is why did Jacob betray my family and I like that ? I can’t remember me or my family offending him so why ?! The cars finally stopped after passing through large black gates into a mansion that looked as big as an estate but my eyes were too blurry with the tears for me to notice the details. I heard rumours of how rich the Alpha King was and this gigantic mansion proves it. “Lock her up before I decide what to do with her” was the only thing the cruel Alpha said before disappearing to only God knows where. Still in tears , I kept quiet as his men carried and dragged me towards what looked like an underground dungeon. The place is all stuffy , smells terribl
Chapter Nine Maya’s POV “Who is it ?”“What do you want ?”“Don’t dare try to hurt me , I can be scary and dangerous too!” I shouted and threatened while standing upright and on alert , ready to fight off any one that tried to harm me but a middle aged chubby woman came in alongside a young man who looked about my age.He was dressed stylishly in bright colours.“Oh please hun, you’re too weak to do anything and you stunk by the way” the young man said while chewing gum and closing his nose with his pink painted nails. “What do you want from me ?” I asked , I felt a bit relieved that it wasn’t the Alpha’s men that came in. These two looked problematic but not dangerous, they don’t look like they will harm me. “Just shut up and follow us . When the Alpha gives an order , no one questions it” said the elderly woman while roughly dragging and pulling my hands out of the cage. The young man closed the door behind me before they led me outside where I had to close my eyes immediately be

I didn't mean to spill the food."Aaron's stern expression intensified, sending shivers down my spine. "Do you understand the consequences of your actions?" he growled, his tone cutting through the buzzing background of the party.Fear etched across my face, my eyes wide with trepidation. "Please, Alpha King Aaron, I didn't mean any harm. It was just clumsy of me."The room fell silent, all eyes fixed on the unfolding drama. My heart raced as I awaited Aaron's response, expecting the worst.Unexpectedly, Aaron's hand reached for his pocket, pulling out a pristine white handkerchief. The guests gasped, astonished at the sight of the ruthless king showing an uncharacteristic gesture of compassion.Without a word, Aaron gently wiped away the food from my face, his touch surprisingly tender. Chapter Thirty Seven Maya’s POV The corridor, once a refuge, was disrupted by the looming presence of Alpha Aaron, the host of the extravagant party. As he approached, a sense of authority radiated from him, his sharp gaze taking in the scene – a drenched me, wrapped in a borrowed tuxedo coat, and Declan, standing like a shield against the turmoil that had marred the evening.Alpha Aaron's expression darkened, his alpha instincts sensing the tension in the air. A low growl escaped him, a visceral manifestation of the anger brewing beneath the surface. His eyes, usually warm and welcoming, now bore into the room with an intensity that sent shivers down our spines."What's going on here?" Alpha Aaron's voice, a thunderous command, sliced through the corridor, demanding an answer to the disturbance that dared to interrupt his meticulously planned party. The room, once filled with whispers, fell silent in the wake of his question.Stella and Jacob, who had briefly bowed to the son of th
Chapter Thirty Six Maya’s POV The echo of my pounding heart resonated through the kitchen as I took a step back, the sudden presence of Stella sending ripples of fear through me. Before I could comprehend what was happening, her grip tightened on my hair, yanking me backward. Pain shot through my scalp as I stumbled, desperately trying to regain balance. The glasses I held, remnants of the party's revelry, slipped from my grasp, shattering on the unforgiving floor. The crash reverberated like a discordant symphony, drawing the attention of the entire room. Time seemed to freeze as the fragments scattered around me, a chaotic dance mirroring the shattered pieces of my composure. The drinks I had so carefully prepared cascaded down, drenching me in a cold, humiliating embrace. A stunned hush fell over the party as the liquid dripped from my hair, down my face, and soaked through the fabric of the chef's coat. Every eye in the room turned toward me, a collective gasp punctuating the aw
Chapter Thirty Five Maya’s POV After almost dying , I was left with no choice as I hurried around the kitchen, making sure the drinks were just right, and adding those final touches to the food spread. The party sounds drifted in, mixing with the clinks of glasses and laughter. Amidst the festive chaos, I couldn't shake the idea of escaping. While arranging appetisers, my mind started to sketch an escape plan. The urge to slip away grew stronger, but something held me back. Declan's face kept popping into my head, disrupting the exit strategy forming in my mind. The memory of Declan stirred a storm of emotions. His eyes, mysterious yet warm, seemed to linger in the air around me. I shook my head, trying to break free from the enchantment threatening to derail my focus. The party's energy surged, engulfing me in a sea of joy. But I found myself torn between the allure of secrecy and the magnetic pull of Declan's image. Lost in my thoughts, my hands paused mid-air, and the kitchen buz
Chapter Thirty Four Aaron’s POVMaya's eyes fluttered open, a newfound vitality coursing through her. The room, once shrouded in concern, now bathed in a warm light as life returned to her. She sat up, greeted by the concerned gaze of Declan. A shy smile played on her lips as she acknowledged him, her gratitude evident."Thank you for saving me," she whispered, her voice filled with sincerity. Declan returned her smile, a reassuring presence in the aftermath of the tumultuous events. However, before Declan could respond, Nina, who had been observing the scene with a certain impatience, rolled her eyes. "I'm the one who saved you," she declared, her tone tinged with annoyance. Maya, realising her oversight, lowered her head and directed her gratitude towards Nina."Thank you," Maya said softly, but Nina, seemingly uninterested, brushed past her without acknowledging the gratitude. With a dismissive air, Nina made her way toward the door, her focus shifting from the healing moment to t
Chapter Thirty Three Aaron’s POV In the chaotic ambiance, I found myself urging those around me to disregard Maya's sudden collapse. "Let's not be held back, we're heading to the party," I declared with a sense of urgency. My plea, however, fell on stubborn ears as Declan, unyielding, resisted the call to revelry. Swiftly, without a moment's hesitation, he scooped up Maya's limp form, cradling her in my arms like a delicate bride. The party's distant sounds faded as he carried Maya to a quiet room, the gravity of her condition sinking in. Gently placing her on a nearby surface, I felt a rush of responsibility but I don’t have conscience and don’t care about anything that happens to her.Declan’s phone emerged from his pocket, fingers dialling swiftly to summon a doctor to her aid. The urgency in his voice mirrored the concern etched on my face as he navigated through the medical call.Observing this unexpected turn of events, wore an expression of puzzled curiosity. Chapter Thirty TwoAaron’s POV In the aftermath of the unsettling encounter with Maya, I turned abruptly, my eyes scanning the vast expanse of my rooftop garden. The sharp clang of my bow hitting the ground echoed through the tense air. Maya, trembling from the ordeal, remained bound to the target, her tear-streaked face a testament to the cruelty she had endured. In that charged moment, I shifted my gaze, my cold eyes narrowing as I surveyed the vast rooftop. The faint hum of a helicopter's blades reached my ears, disrupting the peace of my private space. The audacity of someone daring to interrupt my carefully curated ball fueled a simmering rage within me."Who dares to disturb my sanctuary?" I bellowed, my voice a thunderous command that reverberated across the rooftop. The head maid, still lingering in the shadows, took a step back, her eyes avoiding my piercing gaze. My eyes, once red with fury, now burned with a different kind of intensity—an unyielding demand for answers. As
Chapter Thirty One Aaron’s POV Perched in my grand chair on the rooftop garden, I indulge in the decadence of a cigar, its smoke intertwining with the night air. The city below, a mesmerising tapestry of lights, serves as a backdrop to my calculated actions. My fingers glide over the sleek bow, arrows catching the moonlight menacingly. The prisoners below quiver, their fear palpable. I speak, my voice commanding obedience, as the sharp arrows find their marks with lethal precision. Each release is a declaration of my unyielding dominance.Emotion hangs heavy in the air—a potent mix of fear and adrenaline. The rooftop transforms into a stage for the unfolding drama, a dark ballet of cruelty. I revel in the power, a wicked grin playing on my lips, yet beneath the facade, a subtle vulnerability lingers.Suddenly, the head maid, the mistress of the house, emerges from the shadows. Her presence demands respect, and with a bow, she interrupts my sinister amusement. "Alpha," she begins, he
Chapter Thirty Maya’s POVShe sighed, as if sharing a burdensome secret. “The chef, unfortunately, has taken ill and you forgot to give him an invite on time so that he can make another arrangement. It appears you'll be handling the culinary responsibilities for the grand ball tonight.”A wave of disbelief washed over me. The responsibility of preparing an extravagant feast for the distinguished guests now rested solely on my shoulders. Despite my culinary prowess, the weight of the task felt daunting. The head maid’s stern expression returned, her gaze piercing. “I hope you understand the gravity of the situation. You cannot afford any mistakes. This is a crucial event for the mansion, and any blunders will be unforgivable.”With a nod, I acknowledged the gravity of the situation, determination overshadowing the trepidation that threatened to consume me. The head maid lingered for a moment longer, her eyes scrutinising my every move. Then, with an abrupt turn, she headed towards the
