Chapter 100

They took the elevator straight to the basement.

Chelsey got into Lucas' car. The latter took the wheel and drove to the nearest hospital.

The doctor gave Chelsey a checkup and assured her that the baby was fine. The pain was merely caused by fatigue.

The doctor advised Chelsey to avoid overexertion and told her to stay away from heavy lifting. They even suggested her to stay overnight at the hospital for observation.

Chelsey was scared and stayed motionless on the hospital bed.

Lucas sat beside her, his gaze fixed on her belly. Feeling uneasy under his watchful eyes, Chelsey stammered, "Thanks for bringing me to the hospital. You can head back now. I'm fine."

Lucas scoffed. "Why were you alone at home? Where's Timothy? Why isn't he looking after you? Where did he go?"
