Chapter I

Clairol's feel so weaken while looking at the tiny piece of pregnancy test that she was holding with her trembling hands.

The results had a two lines and it only means that it was positive.

‘No,no, no. It can't be.’

She cover her face using her both hands and let herself to break down.

She was not ready for this. This is so sudden and she is afraid.

“CONGRATULATIONS, Ms. Tampson. You're already 4 weeks pregnant. Don't worry about the morning sickness, it will gone after the first trimester of your pregnancy. I will also prescribed you a vitamins that will help you and the baby. Avoid also from getting stress.” The Obstetricians said when she decided to make an appointment for a check up—just to make it sure.

The OB still keep talking about reminding her something stuff, but she was already occupied from the fact that she was really pregnant.

She can't believe that there's a living inside of her womb.

She let a sigh before heading back to the school. She only took an absent for her morning class just to attend her appointment. She may be need a lot of time to cope up from everything. But she's still has a job and a pile of unfinished works that's awaiting for her to finish.

While she was taking a cab, she can't help to caressed her stomach where the tiny like a bean's sprouting.

“It already happened, there's nothing I could do about but only to accept it.” she murmured while leaning on the backseat of the car and shut her eyes.

Throughout the afternoon, She was been exhausted. So, after she got home on her condo, she lay on her bed without minding to even change her clothes. She was mentally and physically exhausted. All she wanted to do was just to sleep and take a rest.

However, a sudden thought didn't let her. She realized that there's a big problem that she need to solve as soon as she can.

Being pregnant without a lover nor husband was not good for her as a Teacher. It will only lead to a huge scandal that makes her job at risk.

She sighed.

All of a sudden, she was looking for someone to lean on or to share with about her problem at the moment. However, She've been living for her entire life alone after she started to be an independent, and after losing her both parents from a car accident. She don't even have a close friend when she was still on her college days. She was too busy from studying until it's already too late to realize that she don't have a good memories from her peers.

A lone tear escape on her eyes.

The OB already warned her that the pregnant woman was easily to be emotional. But she needs to calm down because it can still affect the fetus.

It was a hot sunny day. Lunch break. Clairol decided to eat from the cafeteria.

“Did you already read the new update? I can't believe that at the end of everything, full of miseries and tears, they still find their way to each other. Imagine, they just started from the contractual relationship, but it ended on a real one instead.” a student from the next table gossiping about some novels. They were giggling and excitement was plastered on their faces.

Clairol didn't like to eavesdropping, but their voice was kinda loud. So, it became an intentionally.

She can't help to feel nostalgic about something. When she was once on their age, she also had a hobbies from reading some novels and pocketbooks. But the difference between them was she don't have a friend to talk about it. Only her Father who's used also to read pocketbooks and influenced her.

She felt a sudden pang on her chest when her late Father crossing to her mind. Before the sadness will starting to building more. She decided to end her lunch. She lost her appetite for no reason.

“GOT a problem again with the new transfered student?” Jason asked after seeing her feeling distressed. He was one of her co-teacher.

She was trying to give a massage her temple to ease the pain.

“Kinda," she answered shortly.

For the Nth time, she just finished to call the guardian again from one of her new student. A new transfered student on her class that giving her a headaches and a hard time.

She understands that it's not that easily to adapt from a new environment. But she can't still help to wonder why her new student— Claire Velasquez that just got transferred a few weeks ago, was starting to ditching her class. She did it not once, or twice, but a multiple times that became alarming for her as adviser.

However, not only her student was giving her a hard time. It also from its guardian. Everytime she call the presence for Claire's guardian, she only always faced the personal assistant of Claire's father.

"Mr. Velasquez was an extremely busy man. And he was currently on a board meeting. So, he sent me here for his stead." the assistant said from their first meeting until the next meeting.

She almost lost herself from the annoyance.

'No wonder my student was rebelling. Her father was too workaholic to the point that he was neglecting her daughter.'

"For how many times you already call their presence for this week?"

A grimace line appear on her lips. "This is already a 3rd time for this week."

Jason just shook his head before left for his next class.

After she have the silent peace again on the faculty room, she lay her head on her desk. She was using her arm as her pillow.

She was still have a plenty of time to take a rest before for her next class starts.

She yawned.

From these past few days, she found herself feeling lethargic and feeling ill. She was also always welcomed every morning with the morning sickness.

But unlike for the past few weeks that she's still clueless about her condition, it was bearable somehow for her now. The doctor already said that it was only normal for the start of pregnancy.

However, there's really times when everything was unbearable for her. She can't help to regrets and blaming herself while at the same time cursing the stranger man whose impregnated her using its sperm and without protection.

Until now, she don't know what to do for her sudden pregnancy. But only one thing she was sure, she will never abort the child and she will protect it even if it means to letting go her dream job.
