CHAPTER 11

"Just go straight to this area Ma'am and Sir. Enjoy your dinner," the woman smiled at me but she smiled sweetly at Axis. This guy also smiled back.

The side of my lips rose. The sight of them makes me wanna puke. Leaving them there, I headed in the direction where the woman pointed but Axis followed me. I just ignored his presence behind me. Maybe it's just a coincidence, right?

When I walked straight, I could see my parents sitting on a table but my forehead creased. Who are those two people with them?

Don't tell me ... I sneered when I realized something. Axis is here. There are two people in the table aside from my parents. Gosh! What is this again? What are they up to again?

"Sweetie!" Mom waved her left hand to get my attention. I shook my head and continued walking until I reached them and right then, my guess was right upon seeing the faces of these people with them.

"So, you went here together sweetie, huh?" Mom's voice sounds like she's teasing me. I just refrain myself from rolling my eyes.

They are just with Axis' parents for goodness's sake. Gosh! Then they call it as a family dinner?

I sat next to my mom and I don't know if they really meant to reserve a table with only six seats. Definitely, my seat was next to Axis.

"I thought we'll be having a family dinner?" I asked softly to my Mom.

"Yeah, family dinner together with your fiance's family. Isn't that fun?" I intentionally dropped my phone loudly on the table which could get their attentions.

"Mom, Dad, Aunt Ally and Uncle Fordee, I am glad you are all here so please give me this privilege to tell you the real truth. Axis and I have no relationship and basically we're not engaged." I told them causing them to be in silence.

"She's right Mom, Dad," Axis agreed then he looked at my parents. "Your daughter is right Ma'am and Sir. We are not in a relationship." I breathe loosely. They fell silent again and looked at us intently.

Axis and I stared at each other. I hope this time, they would believe — 

Suddenly I heard loud laughter. My gaze shifted to my parents and Axis' parents. What the? After telling them the truth, they're just going to laugh at us?

"Are you trying to joke around young man and you young lady?" My eyes narrowed again at Daddy.

"Dad, we're both telling the truth!" I insisted on my Dad.

"Son, you've got to be kidding us," Uncle Fordee told Axis. The four of them laughed again. What the heck is happening?

"Why don't we start our dinner? I guess this couple is already hungry that's why they are saying petty things," Aunt Ally stated then I heard them laugh for the third time.

My jaw literally dropped. Tell me, this isn't a joke, right? This isn't a joke? I bent down and just rubbed my face using my hand. I saw Axis shook his head too.

Argh! Why do they not want to believe us? Gosh! I give up! Damn!

Axis and I ate silently while our parents were talking and laughing while they were eating. Family dinner, huh? Maybe it would have been better if they told us that it's their reunion and not a family dinner since they told us earlier that they were colleagues and they are business partners.

Argh!

After we ate, the four of them continued talking. It's like Axis and I were just bubbles here. Hello, we are here Mom, Dad, Aunt Ally and Uncle Fordee? Hello? Tss.

Axis and I stood together and only then did we get the attention of the four of them. Gosh!

"You're going already?" They asked us.

"Yeah," Axis did not respond favorably.

"And it's a shame to disturb the four of you," I whispered and looked in the other direction.

"You're saying something, sweetie?" Mommy asked me and I faked a laugh.

"None Mom," I fake a smile, too. "But I have to go. I'm sleepy already." I answered and took my things on the table.

"Why not take your fiancee with you Axis?" I was automatically stunned. What the? Seriously?

"Bring her home safe son. She's your responsibility now," Uncle Fordee said and he smiled at me. What he said made me feel deprived.

"Thank you for the concern but there's no need for it. I have my car with me. Thanks for the dinner anyway. I'm going." I approached my parents to kiss them on their cheeks as well as to Aunt and Uncle. Axis did the same thing.

"Drive safely," they stated before Axis and I went out together. We sighed once more. 

While walking together, I didn't speak, neither him. When we both reached the parking lot, he just kept quiet until he called my name.

"Yasha Reese," I stopped and lazily turned to him.

"What?" I waited for his response but said nothing. He just stared at me which made me conscious. Why is he looking at me like that?

"Nothing," answered he then went inside his car. I frowned. Whay call my name when he has nothing to say?  

I also got in my car and drove away. When I parked my car in the basement of the condominium building, I went inside and took the elevator. The elevator is about to close but someone put his foot below so it will not close. Because of what this person did, the elevator opened again and my eyes widened when I found out who it was.

I wanted to speak, or to ask him but I chose to keep my mouth shut. The elevator stopped at the 16th floor so I came out but I noticed that he also followed me. What the?

Because I couldn't stop myself anymore, I faced him and he was slightly taken aback but he look at me lifelessly.

"Hey, stupid idiot. Are you following me?" I raised an eyebrow while asking him that.

"No," he replied then continued walking but I immediately grabbed him in his arm.

"So, why are you here? What are you doing here?" I asked. He's about to answer my question but I prevented him from doing so. "Don't tell me you're stalking me?" I continued asking and he smirked at me.

"I'm too handsome to become your stalker, woman." He responded. What a thick face guy he is!

"Why are you here then if you're not my stalker?" I curiously asked.

"Stop assuming things woman. I own this condominium building and my unit was five doors away from yours." He answered and passed me by.

I was stuck in my position. What did he just say? He owns this Sweet Havens? And we are just on the same floor? Not to mention, his unit was only five doors away from mine? The heck?

It was only then that what he said sank into my mind. Waaaah! I felt a little bit ashamed for myself. Argh! This is so not happening! This is frustrating!

Why did the gorgeous earth let this things happen to me? Geez!
