CHAPTER 15

I took Axis' belongings when the nurse showed it to me. That stupid idiot. How could he just left without taking his things here?

"I'll get his things. I'll just give it back to him," I told the nurse who allowed me to get inside this room earlier.

"Don't you want to stay first, Miss Yasha? I know for sure your bruises still hurt," I smiled a bit with what nurse said. She's worried at my condition. I can tell that she's so caring.

"I'm okay," I answered at her. "That stupid idiot needs to be taken care of compared to me. I can endure the pain while him, I think he can't because he has a big scrape on his arm," I told the nurse and she smiled at me.

"You do love him, right?" that nurse asked and I was caught off guard because it really surprised me.

"Huh?" My brows furrowed. 

"I can tell that you are really worried about him," she stated that while smiling at me. Like, what the?

"A-ah," I ran out of words and I just shyly smiled back to her. I didn't bother to contradict what she said because I'm pretty sure, everyone believed that I'm Axis' fiancee.

After informing them that I need to go now, I stormed out of that room and waited for a taxi outside the hospital.

"Where are you going, Ma'am?" The taxi driver asked as I boarded.

Where should I go? I mean, where can I see that guy? I don't even know where he was.

Oh, I knew it. "Do you happen to know where the Averion Company is?" I asked the driver, hoping that he knows it.

"Yes Ma'am. Shall I take you there?" he asked, looking at me through the rear-view mirror.

"Yes, please." I answered then leaned back in my seat and breathe in relief. Good thing, Aishi once mentioned that to me, I mean the company owned by that guy.

Minutes of riding, the taxi driver dropped me off in front of a large company building. It was so so big, literally big, like those kind of buildings we usually see in the television and there's a big initial written on the upper part of its main door which is ‘AC’ and if I am not mistaken, I think it stands for Averion Company.

I went inside and I was greeted by a tall guard. When he let me in, I headed to the information table.

"Is Axis here?" I asked the ladies, there are three of them in the information table.

"Do you have any scheduled appointment to Mr. Averion?" the girl who is wearing a pencil cut skirt and a plain sleeveless top covered with blazer asked it on me.

"Ah... that? Actually I don't have any appointment to him. I just want to see him and give him back his things," I explained while raising the paper bag which contains Axis' things.

"I am sorry Ma'am but I can't—" The lady beside her suddenly stopped her from speaking. I even saw how she slightly nudge the woman I'm talking to.

"Don't you know het? That's Mr. Averion's fiancee," I heard the lady whispered to het and even saw how her eyes turned round because of shock. I just sighed while hearing them exchanging whispers. They really thought that Axis and I were a couple.

"Ah, I'm sorry Ma'am. His office is on the top floor. His secretary is there, you can ask for her help and she will assist you," she informed and seemed like she was embarrassed because of what she acted. I just gave her a smile and thanked her before heading straight to the elevator. 

While waiting for the elevator to open, I can feel that everyone is looking at me but I didn't mind though. As the elevator opened, I quickly got in and some of the employees also went inside. I'm just smiling at them whenever they are waving at me. Some even asked if they could take a photo with me. Of course, it's my pleasure to do so.

When I got out of the elevator I immediately searched Axis' office. This is my first time to be here so I looked ignorant about the things I'm seeing. The building is too tall and this floor is too wide. Luckily, I saw a woman who's sitting in the cubicle so I quickly approached her, maybe it's his secretary.

"Excuse me. Where is Axis' office?" I asked her.

"Do you have an appointment with Mr. Averion?" she asked while her eyes were settled on the screen because she's busy typing something in front of her personal computer.

"I don't have any appointment to him. I just drop by because I'm gonna return his things." I responded.

"I'm sorry but — Miss Yasha?" she questioned me unbelievably. Her cute eyes grew bigger upon seeing me. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know right away that it was you," she quickly stood up and approached me. "Come here, Ma'am, follow me. I'll take you to Sir's office," she walked first and I followed her until we stopped in front of a brown door.

"Come in, Ma'am," she called me. I smiled at her and was about to enter but I stopped her.

"How did you know me?" I curiously asked. I just don't remember saying my name to her and it made me this curious.

"Oh, Ma'am. Who doesn't know you? You are a famous actress and a model, and you are also my boss's fiancee," she smiled but argh! Because of that news again! "Besides, my youngest brother is really your number one fan, Ma'am. You are really her idol," she added enthusiastically.

Big smile drew in my lips. "It flutters me, you know?" I laughed a bit, trying to talk to her casually. "Tell your youngest sibling that I am so thankful because of the support he's giving me and also for believing in me, alright?" Axis' secretary nodded. "What's your name by the way?"

"I'm Angeli, Ma'am," I offered her my hand for a handshake.

"It's nice meeting you, Angeli," she also told me the same thing that's why I smiled at her before finally entering Axis' office.

When I got inside, I noticed that his office was in black and white themed style. There's a mini bookshelves inside it. There's also a sofa set and two table chairs in front of his table. At the back of his swivel chair is a circle-like window which you can see the beautiful scenery below the building.

His office is not that plain. Actually if I were to describe it, it was clean and comfortable to stay at. All things were arranged accordingly. There are also some abstract paintings hanged on the walls and just by looking at the interior of his office, it was too obvious that the owner was a guy.

"What are you doing here?" I got back to my senses when I heard his voice. I was just too focused and was very pleased on how his office looks that's why I almost forgot my purpose of why I came here.
