"How many times do I fucking need to tell you that I have no freaking idea about that news?!" He shot back, his jaw tightened and I can tell that he's also pissed, just like what I'm feeling towards him.
"Yash, Axis! Would you please calm down guys?" Aishi interfered with us. I just looked in the other direction and let out a deep breath again.
This is so annoying!
"Listen up. I know this may sound stupid, but I guess you need to go with the flow." Aishi suggested so I definitely turn my gaze to her. I narrowed my eyes on her.
"Don't tell me—"
"Yes. You need to pretend as a couple."
"HELL NO!/FUCK NO!" Axis and I both opposed.
"Seriously Aishi? What kind of suggestion is that? Are you out of your mind?!" I gave her a death look. Is she insane? Me and Axis will pretend as a couple? Hell no!
"Look. I understand your part guys," She said and she look at me. "Yash, you're a celebrity and you're a supermodel," then she turned to Axis. "And you Axis, you're one of the youngest bachelors in town," she paused then she looked at us both.
"I know why you are both acting this way. It's because you don't want your image to be ruined just because of that fake news. This would be hard on your part guys but I guess that's the only choice you have. Act as a couple just for publicity. For sure this issue will only last for a month or so. Because if you continue the live interview tomorrow, there's a big possibility that your image will be further damaged especially now that both of your parents speak up already."
I've been sitting at my couch for almost an hour already. I was here inside my condo and locked up myself in here. After what Aishi suggested, I left them there.
I don't know if Aishi is crazy to the point that she will suggest that. Is there no other choice aside from that? I took a deep breath. I don't know if I should take what Aishi has suggested. Argh! This is making me crazy!
You see, everything will be settled tomorrow because we already planned for a live interview. But here's our parents who meddled with our issue.
Our plans and what our parents did, it's like we joined a running event. We have not yet set our feet on the starting line, but someone immediately ruined our plan. What did my mom and dad actually thinking that they still need to be interviewed? This is so annoying!
I looked at my phone which was placed on the center table when it suddenly rang.
"What?" I answered the phone, sounded uninterested.
[Is that how you greet your Mom, Yasha?]
I put the phone away from my ear and looked to see if my Mom was really the one who called.
"I'm sorry Mom. I answered my phone without knowing who the caller is," I explained.
[Meet us at the Cherry's later.]
My forehead furrowed. "Why at Cherry's? Mom, I have my own restaurant!"
[I know but we already have the reservation there.]
"Fine."
[Later at 6:30 PM. We'll be having a family dinner, okay? See you there sweetie.] Then she hangs up the phone.
I just had a facepalm. What's with the sudden family dinner? And they really had a reservation from another restaurant, really, huh? Why they didn't just reserved in my own restaurant? Tss. Sometimes I really don't understand my parents.
I just wore a simple dress for that family dinner. It's a typical dress I usually wear. After locking my unit, I went straight to the elevator. When I got down to the basement, I went inside my car and headed to Cherry's.
I quickly parked my car when I arrived there. I took my phone and my wallet before I went straight inside the restaurant. I was already at the front door when I noticed a man. When I looked who it was, my heart was burning with annoyance again.
What the heck? I stopped walking and faced him.
"Are you following me stupid idiot?" I asked him straight forwardly. I saw his eyebrows met then he shook his head indignantly before turning his back on me and continued walking. That stupid idiot! How dare him turn his back on me?
When we got inside the Cherry's, we were greeted by a staff.
"Any reservation Mister?" She asked Axis and showed him her sweetest smile. That kind of girl's move, gosh! If this woman works for me, I swear, she will lose her job instantly. Work is work!
"Dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Averion," answered by Axis.
"Alright Sir. How about you Ma'am?" that woman faced me but my mind was focused on what Axis replied. So, they also have a family dinner? And they really reserved here? Just wow! Is the world too small for the two of us?
"Uhm, excuse me Ma'am—"
"Mr. and Mrs. Heuson." I answered.
"Oh great. Just follow me Ma'am and Sir," that woman walked first so we followed her. But my eyes narrowed. Why do we seem to walk in the same reserved table?
