Chapter 9Gael returned to the packhouse not wanting to admit that he was sore all over. He’d worked out all of his life, but he’s never been this sore from a ten-minute workout with Phoenix. He kept reminiscing how she moved with such grace and poise. She even had her eyes closed the whole time. When Randall stepped up to help him throw her off, the way she ran into him and knocked him on his ass was astounding. As he was almost at his office, he heard noises coming from inside. He stopped and instantly anger filled him. Who had the audacity to be in the Alpha’s office without permission? As he felt his wolf about to surface he opened the door, that was slightly ajar, and what he saw almost made him pass out.His father had his mother bent over his desk giving her the absolute business. Chapter 10I sat down in the bathtub filled with hot water and lavender and moaned as it covered my body in relaxing warmth. Chapter 11That night after Phoenix showered and fell into bed exhausted over the day she had, she fell into a deep sleep. Meanwhile Gael was also in bed falling into a deep sleep thinking of Phoenix, he began to dream. He dreamt that Phoenix was standing in the field in front of the packhouse with a sheer dress on, the kind where you could see her whole body. Her hair was in coily waves down her back and the wind blowing against her made her look ethereal. She called his name and her voice, the sound went straight to his dick. Chapter 12As Phoenix stood in the shower, watching the blood and chunks go down the drain, she wasn’t injured but felt a significant loss. She only killed in battle, in self-defense. Even the missions she was sent on, these were bad people who had killed the young, had used them for sexual trafficking and abused them beyond belief. It still made her sick to her stomach, but she always remembered what she learned from the Phantom woods about her temper. Chapter 13Lance’s POVI’m sitting here on the porch still in disbelief over what I’ve seen my sister do. I was on the verge of stepping in so many times, but with each moment I was mesmerized with her. I never knew Phee held that kind of power. She’s always been my baby sister.
