Chapter 16Gael had finally figured out the date and he was excited. He’d have Lance helping and his parents kicked in as well. He contacted Phoenix telling her the time so she could get ready. She was at a loss because she was here on a mission, not for dates. Everything she packed was for combat or comfort. Nothing that screamed date. Chapter 17We drove into town a bit and I could tell she was trying to figure out where we were going. I didn’t say. When we arrived, she had this look on her face I really couldn’t decipher, but I parked and got out to go to her side and opened her door and helped her out.
