His back hunches over and his breathing is wild, all of it coming from his mouth and not his nose like it should in proper form. "Who?"

I slow my pace further, not only to tell him the full story, but so Crispin can catch his breath and not pass out on the sidewalk. "My ex. He's sending me text messages and pictures." I'd left those details out the day I'd told him about my history with Ben.

"Pictures of what?" Crispin asks in one complete sentence, getting control over his breathing.
