Sniffling resounds around the room's corner. The air turned colder leaving Aesthelia to mourn for something that only happened in book pages.
"What a lonely soul." Aesthelia commented as she let the grief climb its way to her heart.
Gior Frauzon, a morally upright fictitious character that stirred Aesthelia's emotions, lost his father.
Gior's father was murdered in a battle against the cursed bloodsuckers creatures in the novel, pushing the protagonist's character development to lead a pack at such a young age.
Gior's father was the Alpha of the Western Wolf Pack, who died in the most unthinkable and unbearable way.
Aesthelia felt the sorrow of the character as she continued to read line after line. She is related to the emotion of loneliness.
"It's painful to know that someone has left. It's not because they abandoned you. He sacrificed until the last breath. " Aesthelia read it out loud. The paragraph alone made her eyes shed a tear, as if someone had been rudely and purposely chopping onions right in front of her.
"I can still hear his voice," she read out loud in a positive voice, expecting that the next sentence would be about Gior's memories that he had with his father.
"I can still hear his pleas," she read it in a low tone this time, slowly engulfed by the sadness she had just overcome a moment ago.
She read mentally the last sentence.
"He was begging to be killed at his enemies' mercy," she said, repeating words from the chapter that ripped through countless emotions.
Alphas are known for being dominant, full of pride, and strong. To know that such an Alpha begged, what unimaginable torture that person had to experience before dying?
That was the last straw that kept Aesthelia from sobbing uncontrollably. Her emotions snapped as she started to pour and bail her eyes out from the emotional pain.
Aesthelia decided to take a minute break by pushing the laptop away from her view. She quickly grabbed tissues to wipe her tears and snots with.
Aesthelia is a soft and kind-hearted person, at least that was she was when it came to a non-existent character she got attached to. Just like how Gior became her favorite character right now, she felt a deep bond with a fictitious character.
It's funny to think that way, but once you read something, you'll feel every certain emotion that the story was trying to convey to you. This time the story was about the certain pain you will feel when you lose someone important.
Good thing that she is already comfortably sitting in her fluffy and soft bed with her laptop at the top of her folding laptop table.
Aesthelia planned to read genres such as supernatural and fantasy, to feel the ounces of excitement, motivation, and determination. To obtain and be knowledgeable in terms of fiction about supernatural and magical existence.
Aesthelia Rasc is a writer on a known platform named GN, which stands for Good Novel. She wants to write something that will become popular, something that will definitely be a hit. To prove something and to prove herself to those who gave up believing in her.
"I read to feel something, goosebumps in awe and amazement. Why do I feel heartbroken all of a sudden? Like countless draggers just stabbed my blood pumper, "Aesthelia rambled in her words.
Aesthelia knows that it's weird to talk to herself, but it is good for her at this moment. The emotion was too much, and she could not keep the comments all to herself.
"You know it's a good story if you shed a damn tear," she said, nodding her head, agreeing with her own thoughts.
"Let alone bail your eyes out," she whispered as she wiped both of her eyes dry.
Aesthelia's eyeglasses become unclear and fog with the moisture of her tears. She sighed heavily, trying to calm herself down, and continued to read some more.
She wanted to continue unraveling the intriguing story. It became her favorite overnight. A good story will make you feel many emotions; happiness in romance, sadness in sorrow, anger at unfornate events and many more.
She sat up straight to read some more. She has to finish it before the sun rises from the east.
She didn't get to finish the next whole paragraph as she felt her eyelids become heavier and heavier.
Aesthelia wonders what time it is to feel dizzy and sleepy to the point of leaning her head against the laptop table.
It must be the coffee,' she thought to herself, trying to think of what could be the reason, but coffee is supposed to make you stay up late, supposed to wake you in the midst of being sleepy.
The digital clock at her bedside was showing four in the morning.
The last thing she saw as she closed her eyes was that her laptop screen had glitched, resulting in a distortion of words on the book page.
"Oh, I'll be damned later," she mumbles while her eyes are closed. Her curiosity was far greater than her fear of her team leader if Aesthelia got late to work.
Aesthelia yawned one last time and fell unconcious in front of the laptop without turning off the device.

There's a chirping sound of birds from the window that is beside Aesthelia's bed that she is laying on.
She doesn't remember having any windows. Maybe her sleeping position made her think and hear things.
She kept her eyes closed.
'Oh, the bed was softer this time,' Aesthelia said in her thoughts.
'The room was warmer... did someone turn on the heater?' Aesthelia thought without opening her eyes.
Aesthelia continued to roll over the softer and fluffier bed when she remembered she lived alone in her apartment. Then who would dare turn on the heater?
She paid it no mind as she still kept her eyes closed.
'Do I feel lighter and more relaxed because I slept late?' she trailed off in her thoughts.
"Late!" She jumped out of bed the moment she remembered she had a meeting with someone in her work line.
"I'm late..." Her voice trailed off as her eyes roamed around the room.
Aesthelia was greeted by an unfamiliar place. The place looks like a vintage antique, but it shows something more than being an antique. It is elegant. It is a question for her how the two together blend perfectly.
Aesthelia looks around in panic. It was terrifyingly quiet and that was wrecking her nerves. 'Where on earth am I? Did I die for staying up too late? It doesn't look like heaven at all. '
"I have this ridiculous conclusion that my own guardian angel escorted the grim reaper itself to get me." Aesthelia jokes around, trying to shrug off the fear.
She is guilty of abusing her sleeping hours and her health.
Aesthelia was about to get up and walk around when a bunch of footsteps clattered around her. The sound got nearer to where she was.
The sound was approaching her.
A group of ladies approached her with plastered smiles on each of their faces.
Aesthelia's head tilted in confusion. She didn't recognize anyone in this group.
They look awfully not into trends
these days, but they are all astonishingly gorgeous.
'Did they mistakenly approach me?' Aesthelia thought to herself. She tried to back away from all of them.
"How was your head? You nearly cracked open your head when you pretended to fall unconscious, "the first girl said with a laugh as she kept chewing something in her mouth.
"Let me tell you this. No one fell for that trick, but nice try. Got to give the efforts some credit, "the same girl who was chewing said again in the same tone as if she found the situation rather amusing.
"Her wolf is a healer. So, she could quickly heal herself if she ever really cracked her head open, " the other girl, who had brown hair, commented as if it was a matter of fact.
"Healer? Wolf? " Aesthelia whispered into thin air. She wondered if her reading addiction resulted in her imagining things like this.
Aesthelia is still looking at the three ladies who approached her. She was extremely confused.
"You pretended to faint just because the Alpha's son is on the training ground," a blonde girl stated as she put her hands on the infirmary bed and her eyes twinkled in amusement.
"And put the blame on the poor girl you have been attacking these days, who happened to catch the alpha's son's eyes," the blonde girl added, "Bravo, that's just pure evil."
The other girls nudge the blonde one to shut her mouth, and not say anything. To prevent her from provoking Aesthelia in some way.
The three ladies exchanged glances. They were worried about the spoiled ticking bomb in front of them, ready to explode.
"What?" Aesthelia, who was confused, blurted out one word. She can't find herself asking as they keep throwing lines after one another.
"What's going on? I swear, is this some kind of stupid prank? " Aesthelia questioned and added, "It's not funny at all."
"I don't remember being familiar with you all," Aesthelia said with her eyebrows furrowed.
All of the ladies snapped their heads in Aesthelia's direction. They all had this poker face and half worried expressions. They act as if the one they are dealing with is a damn ticking bomb, a spoiled brat who throws tantrums every now and then.
"No way," the first girl who talked earlier said in amusement. Her eyes glowed yellowish before they went back to their normal color, which is brown.
The sudden change in eye color caught Aesthelia off guard. What was that?
"Really? Are you really trying to trick us too? Aesthelia, you know more than anyone else that this won't work for us, "the blonde one stated.
"We are too old to fool around," the blonde lady commented, rolling her eyes as if she had heard something ridiculous.
"How did you know my name?" Aesthelia asked in surprise, which confused all the girls in front of her.
The moment she woke up, she knew something was going on, something was wrong.
"We have known each other since we were kids," the three said in unison. All eyes stared at Aesthelia's confused face.
"Well, are you turning dumber? Not that I didn't anticipate it, "the blonde girl commented sarcastically.
"Lily! Enough with your remarks. Aesthelia must have really fainted. You should at least know when to stop acting like a warfreak, "the girl with brown hair shouted, clearly disapproving of Lily's attitude.
"You always want to have the last word," the girl with brown hair whispered.
"Shut your crap, Antoinette! Senia, you should talk to her. Pull some sense out, "the blonde girl named Lily answered Antoinette back.
"Don't pull this card on us, Aesthelia. Just because Gior won't glance at your way. And your scheme didn't turn out the way you wanted, " Senia said.
"Flo carried you all the way here," Senia added. Senia was waiting for Aesthelia to explode after knowing that Flo carried her instead of Gior.
"Wait," Aesthelia said, who was stunned by the name being mentioned. It's not Flo, but Gior.
Aesthelia was completely stunned. She must have been dreaming about being in the novel. Well, that is too much more than her addiction to online games.
"Gior?" Aesthelia asked for confirmation. If she heard it right, Aesthelia knew that she needed a slap. Three to four slaps would be enough to wake her up from this dream.
"Yes. Gior Frauzon. The Alpha's son you have been obsessing about. " Senia stated, feeling extremely annoyed by Aesthelia's stare.
'I need a slap, come on.' Aesthelia thought as she pinched and slapped both of her cheeks.
Aesthelia's mind started to wonder if the situation was the same as those who transmigrated to a novel.
Is she given a chance to be with her favorite male lead character, Gior Frauzon?
Aesthelia blushed crimson red by just thinking about what could happen. She thinks that it's not all that bad.
"You are making yourself look like a fool, Aesthelia." Senia commented, which Lily and Antoinette agreed with. Senia shook her head, while the other two nodded.
"Merideth would probably be in detention right now while you're resting in the infirmary," Lily stated out of nowhere and laughed.
Senia and Lily kept going on about how Aesthelia pretended to faint when Merideth and her were having a conversation, but Antoneitte disagreed with it.
Aesthelia stopped in her tracks when she heard the female lead's name. She remembered it well, 'Merideth Reiss.'
'If Merideth was a different person, then who would I have become?' Aesthelia questioned herself mentally. She shook her head.
No.
This can't be.
If she is not the protagonist, then who is she?
Aesthelia quickly got up on her feet and started searching for a mirror. When she found one, she quickly checked her reflection.
Aesthelia is greeted by an unfamiliar face. The reflection is not hers, it is someone else's.
'They have been calling me Aesthelia, and the only person who happens to have the same name as me is none other than Aesthelia Rasc,' Aesthelia thought. She was lost in her own thoughts, finally coming to a conclusion.
She didn't pay too much attention to Aesthelia's Rasc character because the character died early in the story.
"Is my name Aesthelia Rasc?" Aesthelia asked. She didn't want to hear them say that she was Aesthelia, but she needed to know.
Her shoulders slumped when the three girls nodded confusedly.
'A supporting character who dies because of her own foolishness!' Aesthelia thought.
Aesthelia nearly cried out when she remembered the fact that the body she possessed would die according to the plot, and what made it worse was that she would experience execution.
Coming from the 21st century, Aesthelia never thought that she would experience execution. Not even for being a witch, but due to the old Aesthelia's obsession with the male lead character.
Aesthelia got chills just from thinking about having her neck separated from her body. She imagined beheaded corpses. She felt like vomiting just from the thought of it.
"What time of year is this?" Aesthelia managed to ask. She had to know how much time she had left, wishing that this was just a dream, a nightmare instead.
"It's the start of fall. Year 1104. " Antoneitte answered when no one bothered to answer Aesthelia.
'A few months before the real Aesthelia's death. In just a few months, I will die just like the real Aesthelia did in the story. ' Aesthelia mentally thought. She nervously held her neck, soothing herself.
No.
She can't die like this.
"I have to survive no matter what," Aesthelia stated. In attempt to convince herself that she could avoid her fated death.
There was still time to alter the event and survive until she discovered a way out of this unexplainable circumstance.
They stood there in silence. No one dared utter a single word. They were waiting for someone to break that silence.Gior was staring at Aesthelia. It had been so long since the last time he stared at that beauty. He lasted a year and it killed him, but now, he could feel himself tearing up in happiness as he once again met her and was reminded by her face. He did not forget her. Gior smiled as he laid his arms wide open, waiting for a warm hug from Aesthelia. Even though they were two Aesthelia, he recognized the one that he had come to love and the one who transmigrated into their world.Aesthelia, who got teary-eyed, rushed over to Gior and asked, "How did you get here?""Love finds its way," Gior answered vaguely as he kissed her forehead. The one thing he always imagined he must have done, he always regretted how he didn't cherish her."I thought that the Alpha wouldn't change," The other Aesthelia stepped up with her arms crossed, and when she noticed that all eyes were on her, s
Gior felt himself falling from an average height, which caused the pain he was experiencing to lessen. The portal appears to be hanging in the air. The shivering cold air seized control of the burns he was already feeling.Gior attempted to close his eyes in order to concentrate on shifting, but to no avail. He found it impossible. Gior plummeted to the ground face first in a couple of seconds before he can even even think of a solution. He quickly raised to his feet and massaged his nose. The mud on his clothing was brushed off. His wandering gaze discovered him encircled by tall trees. After him, there was another deafening thud.Gior asked with wide eyes, "What were you guys thinking by following me here? Do you guys know how dangerous it is?"Without really caring about the enraged Alpha, Flo assisted Marie in getting to her feet and checked on his mate. He turned his head to face the Alpha after making sure Marie was in fact fine and had no scratches."Let me ask you, Alpha, what
The relationship between humanity and supernatural creatures has greatly improved. Each person has a certain task to complete. Despite the setbacks, they are driven to continue living. Despite the fact that the werewolves had nothing to do with the humans, the war was won. They offered to assist in relocating the bodies and properly buried them. countless unforeseen tragedies.Time flew by.And after a year, the empires that were on the edge of collapsing from the vampires' attempts at oppression are now little by little recovering from the casualties caused by the war. Everyone is in a state of grief for the losses, but they know that sooner or later they have to embrace everything that happened. The empire that was once sparkling with elegance was left as an abandoned and hunted castle. No one dared to stay in it as it reminded them of how tragic it was last year. The survivors once again built new infrastructure and repaired what was destroyed. The supernatural beings who were hidi
The strategic defense of Aesthelia is like an iron wall. No vampires could pass through, and by the time Aesthelia decided to go—it started crumbling a little. The absence of a strategist made the team hesitate."Keep pushing, warriors!" Flo shouted, which made everyone snap out of it. He took over coaching immediately.Flo quickly stood on his feet as he transformed back. As a beta, it is his obligation to lead. "Do as he says," Marie commanded her fellow-humans.Marie grabbed the sword. She was about to go, to protect her lady, but Flo intervened and said, "Marie, snap out of it." When Flo touches Marie, a flash of spark flows through him. He knew at that moment that Marie was his mate. The sudden realization took him seconds as his eyes drowned deep in his own mate's eyes. He momentarily forgot the situation they were in— not until Marie struggled to get out of his touch."Aesthelia has the blessing." She can defeat him. " Flo stated, and he added, "You are much needed here to k
Aesthelia collided with Gior's arm. That is when they clearly felt the spark when their skin touched. It only means they are fated to be mates—mates with an uncontrollable bond. Gior snapped out of his anger. He became relaxed under Aesthelia's touch, and he almost lost all of his reasoning earlier when he saw Aesthelia's being injured and just mindlessly attacked. This is the first time Aesthelia realized it. Now that explains why Aesthelia shows that behavior. The hostility against Merideth, how her wolf disappeared, and why her emotions are affected by anything that involves Gior."We are mates?" Aesthelia asked in confusion. However, Aesthelia already knew the answer. "Yes." Gior said, straight-staring at her eyes. His eyes became soft; the relentlessness that he felt vanished in an instant."What a sweet reunion that you have forgotten about me," The vampire king muttered amused while clapping his hands, trying to gain everyone's attention. "How can I forget about you?""When
The more her breath hitches, the more her heart beats. Lurking inside the enemy's dangerous teritorry can be nerve-wrecking and terrifying. Aesthelia felt like she will bath on her own nervous sweat. She wanted to ignore how her knee trembled for a second when the vampire stared down at her earlier—she felt as if the vampire could have snapped her neck in a minute. The eyes of predators who carefully observe their prey's movements are far scarier than any horror films she has seen."The difference is—I am one of the people who's on the death list now." Aesthelia was lost in her own thoughts. She voiced them out with a sadder-chuckling tone. At least Merideth is with them right now. They can get closer and interrogate the vampire to plan the escape. Aesthelia can relax, but she remains vigilant—a traitor who has betrayed you once can betray you again. For some time, Elliot managed to walk little by little until he could perfectly walk without limping. Aesthelia's worry is reduced. "
