Aesthelia was struggling in her sleep when two hands grabbed her cheeks. Trying to soothe her out of her nightmare.
"It's alright. It was just a dream, a nightmare. " A comforting voice said.
"I'm here," Flo assured her. His soft voice woke Aesthelia up. He quickly helped her sit, and patted her back.
Aesthelia panted heavily as her eyes fluttered open. She's sweating real bad.
Aesthelia looked around her surroundings. Her eyes landed on the cellar in front of her. The cellar where the old man was locked in, ever since that night when the old man was dragged out by the guards. He never came back.
Aesthelia choked in her sobs as she imagined what might possibly have happened to that tortured man.
"Are you alright?"
"I shouldn't have let that bastard do this to you," Flo said in a shaky voice, seeing Aesthelia in this state. He couldn't maintain a steady posture. Whether he shakes in worry or in rage, it applies both to what he is currently feeling and what he is currently thinking.
Aesthelia remained quiet. She tried to calm herself down and not inconvenience others, especially Flo. She is indebted to him. He has helped her so much, more than she could ask for.
"I'll call someone to attend you." Flo whispered.
"You seem to be experiencing pain," Flo added, trying not to startle Aesthelia.
Before Flo could take a step outside, a hand grasped his, holding his hand to make him stay.
"No, please stay," Aesthelia managed to say. Her throat aches due to the limited supply of water and food that they provide prisoners.
Flo was surprised. This was something he never thought would happen. Is Aesthelia clinging to him? Flo didn't dare to say anything. He just patted Aesthelia's back, hoping that it would make her feel at ease.
Aesthelia breathes deeply. The images flashed again. She recalled the vivid and horrific nightmare that seemed to be hunting her in broad daylight.
She buried her face in Flo's chest, her hands trembling. Flo hugged her in response, and he held her trembling hands. They stayed in that position for a minute.
Someone cleared his throat, which made the two back away from each other instantly.
Aesthelia swiftly raised her head to see who it was. It's a man in his mid 60s. It looked awfully familiar, which confused Aesthelia. She didn't see this man on the training ground or so.
Flo, who was quiet, immediately greeted the man. He blushed while scratching his nape.
"Did I interrupt something here?" The man questioned said as he raised his eyebrows. He tried to maintain a stoic expression.
"N-no, Sir! I simply comforted your daughter. It seems that she is having trouble sleeping, "Flo stuttered, explaining the situation.
'Daughter?' Aesthelia's eyes widened as she recognized who it was. It's no surprise that it looks familiar to her; they have similar physical characteristics.
It means he is Howard Rasc, the delta of the western wolf pack, the third in command, and Aesthelia's father. As a delta, he is in charge of training, but these past few months he has been travelling outside the pack to attend to some businesses that were left unattended.
'In the story, he was on a business trip at the time around. Why did he come back early? ' Aesthelia thought as she recalled the page of the book that narrates the scene where he came back and was greeted by his daughter's beheaded corpse.
Aesthelia's father spoke, breaking the silence.
"Aesthelia, you disappointed me. I trusted that you wouldn't cause trouble. Just what did you do this time?" Howard added.
Aesthelia doesn't feel hurt by his word. She felt nothing, hollow and empty. Her parents in her original world said the same thing. It appears that it is even in another dimension. She disappoints anyone.
Her strength was drained by the constant nightmare. She stayed in the cellar for almost two days and three nights. Those nights seemed like hell to her.
"Get up. I've talked to the Alpha about it. Your punishment awaits at home, "Mr. Rasc conveyed nonchalantly.
"Sir, I know that it is bad that it comes to this, but your daughter has already suffered for days," Flo intervened as he heard Aesthelia's father's unconcerned voice.
"Right now, she needs emotional support." Flo added.
"You have no right to interfere, young man. I advise you to stop spoiling that pup, "Mr. Rasc replied emotionlessly.
"Do you know how much she fears darkness?" Flo questioned him as he let his fingers run through his hair.
"Are you claiming that you knew her more than me, her father?" Mr. Rasc answered with another question.
"I-" Flo opened his mouth to say something, but Aesthelia held his hand and shook her head, telling him not to say anything and to let things be. It's enough. Aesthelia doesn't want to burden Flo any longer. He had helped her enough.
Aesthelia tried to stand up even though her knees were shaking. Flo supports her by wrapping his arms around Aesthelia.
Mr. Rasc's eyes sharpened disapprovingly at their closeness. Although he didn't comment on anything, the sour look was visible on his face. Mr. Rasc turned his back on them.
"I never raised a fragile and weak child," Mr. Rasc mumbled as he walked first. Aesthelia heard it, and she felt her empty heart clench. She was affected by those words for an unknown reason.
Aesthelia faintly smiled at Flo. She is feeling sorry towards him. It seems the old Aesthelia and Flo have a close relationship and are good friends. It feels like she's deceiving him by not telling him the truth that she wasn't the Aesthelia he knew.
"I can carry you. If you only permit me to do so." Flo suggested in the middle of their walk.
Aesthelia refused his kind offer. She doesn't know what her father will say if he sees her being carried, "This is fine," Aesthelia said, and Flo nodded his head in response.
He didn't want to push the idea any further, in case it might cause her to feel uncomfortable.
As Aesthelia stepped outside the dungeon. The sunlight greeted her. The tree was swaying with the wind. In those three days, being locked up made her appreciate how beautiful the sun and the surroundings are right now.
Aesthelia looks at the carriage that awaits her. She knew right away that it belonged to the Rasc. Every carriage has an emblem on it, representing each household.
Mr. Rasc was nowhere in sight. It looks like he has gone without waiting for Aesthelia.
"Contact me the soonest you can," Flo said. He supported Aesthelia as they walked in the clear path towards the carriage.
"Uhm..how?" Aesthelia asked. She doubts that a cellphone exists in this story's settings.
"Telepathically, once you regain your strength," Flo answered. His eyes softened as he looked at her.
There's also a unique connection within the pack. They can use telepathy to communicate and to do that. The wolf spirit has to be present.
"Bravo, Aesthelia. Your acting has improved, " A voice commented. A newly arrived person's footsteps can be heard.
'Gior?' Aesthelia mentally said. She recognized the voice instantly.
"Gior, what are you doing in here?" Flo can't help it but to growl menacingly, as if challenging and warning the alpha's son. He immediately held Aesthelia close and covered her.
"You managed to deceive, Flo. I wonder what story you made up this time to gain pity from Merideth's cousin?" Gior ignored him and continued taunting Aesthelia. Provoking her to say something.
"What?" Aesthelia felt offended by his claim. She tried to face him, but Flo held her tighter.
"I asked you. Don't make me ask the damn question twice, "Flo angrily said. Being ignored isn't sitting well with him.
"I don't know what game you are playing but you are pro at this. You even had Flo protecting you like a crazy wolf, "Gior added, once again ignoring Flo.
"Shut it, bastard. Why do you keep getting close to her when you know her feelings?" Flo shouted furiously. He restrained himself from attacking the alpha son by letting his nails dig into his palm.
Aesthelia looks stunned and confused. 'Getting close?' She repeated the words in her mind. Aesthelia knows how Gior feels about her. The story narrates and emphasizes how Gior loathed and avoided Aesthelia like a plague.
"Flo must have thought wrong," Aesthelia mumbled under her breath.
"I'm guarding Merideth away from Aesthelia's reach, Flo. You seem to be misunderstanding something, " Gior immediately explained. He looked like trouble somehow. A sweat began forming in his forehead.
"I'm also intrigued by how Aesthelia looks in a bad state." Gior added and smirked.
"I'm not the type who will jump to conclusions without enough observation," Flo stated. No one can fool a hawk-eye observer.
"I guess you are also a type of person who would rather protect a threat to your family," Gior replied coldly, just to get back at him and ridicule his choices.
Gior glared at Flo's arm that was wrapped around Aesthelia like a leech. Gior doesn't have any idea why he disliked what he saw and how intimate they look right now.
"What is this ruckus?" Mr. Rasc arrived together with the Alpha. It appears that Mr. Rasc met Alpha Rou when he walked out of the dungeon first.
"You just got out of the cellar, and yet you caused more chaos," Mr. Rasc added.
Aesthelia bit her lower lips. She hasn't done anything, she hasn't even said a single word back, no matter how Gior insults her.
"It's Gior who likes to trouble himself more than necessary." Flo decided to talk and get the attention.
"I think he has developed a weird fetish," Flo answered, and smirked when Gior's eyes widened. The fetish to which he was referring is the part where he's loitering around Aesthelia, asking for trouble.
"Watch your remarks." Gior snarled and swore.
Alpha Rou came forward between Gior and Flo and said, "The two of you need to go. Don't let me catch you going into each other's throats. "
"I appointed you Gior to do some work. Don't make me repeat myself." Alpha Rou said, turning to face his son.
"And you Flo, the beta was asking about you. It seems urgent." Alpha Rou said to Flo,
Alpha Rou immediately dismissed the two wolves. He needs to have a conversation with the Rasc.
"I wasn't informed about your imprisonment, Aesthelia. If only I knew, I'd never have consented to it. " Alpha Rou said as he apologized to the young woman who had spent three days in a cellar.
"Is that all? Can I go now?" Aesthelia emotionlessly said. If it's about being sorry, it won't make her feel at peace. Even now, she can hear her beating heart due to fear of the darkness and everything that happened while she was in that bloody place.
"Aesthelia!" Mr. Rasc shouted disapprovingly at how Aesthelia responded to the Alpha. Aesthelia turned her back on them and gripped the carriage door, ignoring his father's word.
"You said it yourself, father. My punishment awaits at home, "Aesthelia stated as she sat in the carriage's passenger seat. "Let's get it over with."
"There's no point of feeling sorry when you can't do anything about it. It is a family matter now, Mr. Alpha Rou. You should deal with your own son, "Aesthelia said, trying to sound polite even when she wanted to convey her thoughts sarcastically.
Alpha Rou kept his mouth shut as those words left Aesthelia's mouth. Mr. Rasc raised his one eyebrow at his daughter's remarks about how the Alpha should deal with his son. Mr. Rasc was surprisingly satisfied with that. He never raised a fragile child.
"We'll take our leave now," Mr. Rasc bid his farewell before getting into the carriage.
It took half an hour before they got to the Rasc Mansion. It is the same infrastructure design as the Pack House. The location of the Rasc Mansion is also within the territory, so the ride was short and the whole time no one dared break the silence.
"What was your reason for this stupidity?" Mr. Rasc asked when the carriage stopped in front of their mansion. His eyes seem to be changing color. His yellow eyes dominate his brown ones.
Aesthelia stayed silent. She didn't do anything wrong. She tried to talk things out, but it didn't work. What else can she do? If the mending relationship doesn't work anymore, then the only way out of the death doors is to avoid the protagonist as much as she possibly can.
Mr. Rasc was the first one to get off, while Aesthelia stayed inside for a few minutes. She's trying to gain courage and strength.
She was about to go out when a group of servants greeted her nervously and dragged her into an open field at the back of the mansion.
They tied her hands to a piece of wood. Aesthelia looks confusedly at them. She wonders what punishment it is.
Her eyes widened when a whip was handed to Mr. Rasc's hand. 'So, that's why I am being tied like this? What am I expecting? A lighter punishment? '
"I heard everything that happened. Didn't I tell you that if you ever bring shame to my family's name, I'd rather have you dead? " For some unknown reason, his voice becomes deeper and his eyes glow yellow. It was as if he was talking to a stranger who he had no blood ties with. Is this really the real Aesthelia's father?
"What?" Aesthelia asked aloud. She wasn't expecting those words. The knowledge she knows about the book doesn't help her at all.
"That young man questioned me if I knew your fear of darkness. Of course I do. Who would forget that? " Mr. Rasc stated this with venom. His face turned dark as he recalled something involving the reason why Aesthelia feared the dark.
'What life does the old Aesthelia have before her death? A supporting character without a background story.' Aesthelia mentally thought: She bit her lips.
"You made her this way, didn't you?" Aesthelia whispered. She looked absent-mindedly at the moment when she thought of the old Aesthelia.
The book narrates her as a villainess.
The book hides her side story.
If Aesthelia ever gets back to the original world she belonged to, she will sue that damn author for making her characters experience this amount of pain. But the question is, is it the authors' fault or is there somebody who messed up the plot?
According to the old man, someone wants to alter everything. It means the events will keep changing from time to time because someone exists within the book. If it is another person, Aesthelia has to find her.
Mr. Rasc could not understand what she meant and who she was referring to. He shrugged his shoulder off.
"You haven't been punished like this since you were seven years old," Mr. Rasc said.
'Seven years old? Punishing someone that young with a whip?' Aesthelia can't help it but feel disgusted by their parenting and disciplining. Is the real Aesthelia an unwanted child to be suffering from this?
"What made you think this won't happen again? Is that why you go running around asking for trouble?" Mr. Rasc added menacingly.
He raised her arms to hold the whip. The servants who were watching from afar gasped and started whispering that they felt sorry for Aesthelia, but no one would defy the delta-third in command of the pack.
Aesthelia tightly closed her eyes. She was ready to endure the whipping when a loud sob rang through her ears and a scent of blood tickled her nose.
Aesthelia's eyes flutterred open and widened afterwards, seeing what happened. The blood was not hers, but her father's.
Mr. Rasc bit his own arms to stop himself. His eyes kept changing from brown to yellow eye colors. It appears that the wolf was taking over her father's body, even in human form.
The wolf forcefully wanted to take over, and with the way the wolf stares at Aesthelia. He holds an extreme level of resentment towards Aesthelia.
Aesthelia looked stunned at the sight before her. The worried voices of servants echoed through the air. Mr. Rasc's eyes kept on changing since the wolf spirit was fighting for control. "Get Aesthelia out of my sight, right now," Mr. Rasc's voice changed as he commanded the servants who were idle, watching from the back. He was trying to fight his wolf until Aesthelia was out and safe. "Bring the lady inside now!" Someone from the crowd shouted. Everyone seems to be panicking at this time. "What's going on?" Aesthelia asked desperately. She moves around trying to be released from being tied up until a servant comes to her rescue and quickly unties her wrists. "Let's go. "The servant said in a calm voice. The servant eyes were staring directly at Aesthelia's eyes, and they were filled with concern. "Why?" Aesthelia asked, but the growl became louder this time, which made the servant drag Aesthelia by herself without bein
Aesthelia yawned as she started stretching her arms up. She continuously hears Marie's voice coming outside of her door. Marie has been calling Aesthelia's name multiple times to wake her up without going in. Just hearing the servant's voice, it appears that must be something urgent. Aesthelia blinked a couple of times, adjusting to the sunlight that came from the open window. She remembered she left that window opened to stargaze. When Aesthelia finally felt alright. She quickly walked and opened the door for Marie, who looked annoyed at the time. The hands on her hips and that kind of stare indicate she's about to nag Aesthelia about her tardiness. "I think I woke up pretty earlier than yesterday, right?" Aesthelia smiled before Marie could start scolding her. She tried to convince Marie. Aesthelia has been staying in the R
They were surrounded in a deafening silence. Without being told by someone, some of the werewolves opted to provide some space and change their stance, going to wait in the distance. It appears that everyone is frantically searching Merideth's whereabout. That's why they look anxious, though they didn't care earlier. If it wasn't for Aesthelia, Merideth could be in real danger. Aesthelia relaxed after some time. She was so tensed and nervous when she heard the grasses rustled earlier. She thought that it was the two guy who were in here, the two prisoners who escaped. "You guys came just in time," Aesthelia uttered. She can't carry Merideth all alone, and she doesn't know the path way back to the training ground or so. Aesthelia flinched when she found Gior's wolf form glaring down at her. An aura surrounds the place; it seems that the alpha is releasing it. 'What was that?' Aesthelia mentally asked as she was trying not to f
The footsteps and sound of crickets are the only thing that can be heard in the area. Flo led both of them to a secluded spot to have a talk.Flo can easily pick up something, and his intuition says something is up. He's an intelligent wolf, after all.Aesthelia quietly followed after Flo. She felt like a child who was about to be scolded. They stopped when Flo couldn't detect any presence, since the sentinels usually patrol the territory."What happened? Why did you get demoted as an omega? " Flo didn't waste any seconds and asked straight forward. His eyes show how much he worries about it.It's worst than being locked up for three days. Everyone knows how bad it is to be demoted to the lower tier. That's why every trainee takes their training seriously; they can't perform poorly on their ranking score."Well, haven't you heard that it's about Merideth?" Aesthelia question. Aesthelia wonders how they would portray her in t
Since the day she discovered the hidden safety locker, Aesthelia has been wandering around the mansion every night, desperately trying to find another hint and some strange things that might actually benefit her. She's hoping for such a diary to appear out of nowhere. She examined in every corners of her room for something like the key. Everything else on the floor belonged to her. As either a result, the key must be concealed somewhere. Aesthelia was startled by a knock. When Aesthelia realized it was already morning, she gasped. She didn't get any sleep. Aesthelia quickly did what needed to be done, and the next thing she knew, she was in the carriage on her way to meet the high-ranking wolves. Days had already passed when she was demoted to omega rank, well, temporarily. The hearing was delayed so many times that it got to the point where Aesthelia received harsh treatment and even death threats each day. It's interesting how quickly those people s
The wind was getting stronger and stronger; the trees and tall grass swayed with it. It seemed like a peaceful place, until Aesthelia and Gior arrived with some tools. They were given a lighter punishment by Alpha Rou when they came back from the infirmary, and that was to clear a certain part of the territory. "Stop doing it half-assed. Do it properly! " From afar, from the other side of the forest, Gior shouted. He was busy cutting some of the trees so they could make an open field in this area. "Mind your own business, Gior! If you just shut up, we could actually wrap things up before the sun sets down, "Aesthelia responded back with the same tone, as she swept the ground more forcefully. She's assigned to remove rocks and small grass. Aesthelia thinks this is better than being an omega. She didn't want to go through that again. Her thoughts were interrupted by another booming voice. "Then, quit slacking off,"
Aesthelia was breathing heavily. She doesn't know what's going on in her surroundings, but one thing is for sure: she's with Gior. When Aesthelia doesn't feel another person's presence, she tries to open her eyes to see her surroundings and find Gior.Aesthelia can still hear the sound of the rain. When she finally opened her eyes, she was greeted by Gior's face, who was trying to take care of her by checking Aesthelia's temperature and keeping the fire going. There are no more dry leaves and twigs inside the cave; they're running out of it. Gior hissed due to the fact that Aesthelia's fever kept on rising.given by the time that they went inside the cave. Gior should have dried up by now, but no, he was still soaking. He was dripping, and it looked like he had gone out to find something even though it was raining heavily. It was a good thing he had found some herbs nearby.Aesthelia groaned in pain as she felt like her head was cracking
Aesthelia found it hard to shift in her sleep as there was something that prevented her from moving and turning over. She snuggled closer to it as she felt the warmth ease the cold.Aesthelia's too sleepy to be bothered by whatever it is. Her body was exhausted, and while her eyes were still closed, she tried to recall the events that happened yesterday, thinking that was the reason she felt worn out.As she refused to open her eyes, she found herself comfortably wrapped in someone else's embrace. Aesthelia furrowed her eyebrows as she started to let her hands roam around. That's when both of her hands landed on a broad, muscled-stoned chest. In an instant, Aesthelia sat up straight with her eyes wide open. She just touched the breathing thing. There she was greeted by Gior's sleeping face, and his arms wrapped around Aesthelia's wais
They stood there in silence. No one dared utter a single word. They were waiting for someone to break that silence.Gior was staring at Aesthelia. It had been so long since the last time he stared at that beauty. He lasted a year and it killed him, but now, he could feel himself tearing up in happiness as he once again met her and was reminded by her face. He did not forget her. Gior smiled as he laid his arms wide open, waiting for a warm hug from Aesthelia. Even though they were two Aesthelia, he recognized the one that he had come to love and the one who transmigrated into their world.Aesthelia, who got teary-eyed, rushed over to Gior and asked, "How did you get here?""Love finds its way," Gior answered vaguely as he kissed her forehead. The one thing he always imagined he must have done, he always regretted how he didn't cherish her."I thought that the Alpha wouldn't change," The other Aesthelia stepped up with her arms crossed, and when she noticed that all eyes were on her, s
Gior felt himself falling from an average height, which caused the pain he was experiencing to lessen. The portal appears to be hanging in the air. The shivering cold air seized control of the burns he was already feeling.Gior attempted to close his eyes in order to concentrate on shifting, but to no avail. He found it impossible. Gior plummeted to the ground face first in a couple of seconds before he can even even think of a solution. He quickly raised to his feet and massaged his nose. The mud on his clothing was brushed off. His wandering gaze discovered him encircled by tall trees. After him, there was another deafening thud.Gior asked with wide eyes, "What were you guys thinking by following me here? Do you guys know how dangerous it is?"Without really caring about the enraged Alpha, Flo assisted Marie in getting to her feet and checked on his mate. He turned his head to face the Alpha after making sure Marie was in fact fine and had no scratches."Let me ask you, Alpha, what
The relationship between humanity and supernatural creatures has greatly improved. Each person has a certain task to complete. Despite the setbacks, they are driven to continue living. Despite the fact that the werewolves had nothing to do with the humans, the war was won. They offered to assist in relocating the bodies and properly buried them. countless unforeseen tragedies.Time flew by.And after a year, the empires that were on the edge of collapsing from the vampires' attempts at oppression are now little by little recovering from the casualties caused by the war. Everyone is in a state of grief for the losses, but they know that sooner or later they have to embrace everything that happened. The empire that was once sparkling with elegance was left as an abandoned and hunted castle. No one dared to stay in it as it reminded them of how tragic it was last year. The survivors once again built new infrastructure and repaired what was destroyed. The supernatural beings who were hidi
The strategic defense of Aesthelia is like an iron wall. No vampires could pass through, and by the time Aesthelia decided to go—it started crumbling a little. The absence of a strategist made the team hesitate."Keep pushing, warriors!" Flo shouted, which made everyone snap out of it. He took over coaching immediately.Flo quickly stood on his feet as he transformed back. As a beta, it is his obligation to lead. "Do as he says," Marie commanded her fellow-humans.Marie grabbed the sword. She was about to go, to protect her lady, but Flo intervened and said, "Marie, snap out of it." When Flo touches Marie, a flash of spark flows through him. He knew at that moment that Marie was his mate. The sudden realization took him seconds as his eyes drowned deep in his own mate's eyes. He momentarily forgot the situation they were in— not until Marie struggled to get out of his touch."Aesthelia has the blessing." She can defeat him. " Flo stated, and he added, "You are much needed here to k
Aesthelia collided with Gior's arm. That is when they clearly felt the spark when their skin touched. It only means they are fated to be mates—mates with an uncontrollable bond. Gior snapped out of his anger. He became relaxed under Aesthelia's touch, and he almost lost all of his reasoning earlier when he saw Aesthelia's being injured and just mindlessly attacked. This is the first time Aesthelia realized it. Now that explains why Aesthelia shows that behavior. The hostility against Merideth, how her wolf disappeared, and why her emotions are affected by anything that involves Gior."We are mates?" Aesthelia asked in confusion. However, Aesthelia already knew the answer. "Yes." Gior said, straight-staring at her eyes. His eyes became soft; the relentlessness that he felt vanished in an instant."What a sweet reunion that you have forgotten about me," The vampire king muttered amused while clapping his hands, trying to gain everyone's attention. "How can I forget about you?""When
The more her breath hitches, the more her heart beats. Lurking inside the enemy's dangerous teritorry can be nerve-wrecking and terrifying. Aesthelia felt like she will bath on her own nervous sweat. She wanted to ignore how her knee trembled for a second when the vampire stared down at her earlier—she felt as if the vampire could have snapped her neck in a minute. The eyes of predators who carefully observe their prey's movements are far scarier than any horror films she has seen."The difference is—I am one of the people who's on the death list now." Aesthelia was lost in her own thoughts. She voiced them out with a sadder-chuckling tone. At least Merideth is with them right now. They can get closer and interrogate the vampire to plan the escape. Aesthelia can relax, but she remains vigilant—a traitor who has betrayed you once can betray you again. For some time, Elliot managed to walk little by little until he could perfectly walk without limping. Aesthelia's worry is reduced. "
There's no window, no light, and nowhere to escape to, except the tunnel. There is an escape route, but there is a high chance that they will end up in the ocean and drown.Aesthelia stayed hidden unbelievably for at least two days, waiting for Elliot's recovery along with Custos', who had exhausted his mana to its limit.Goodthing. The vampires didn't seem to eagerly check the underground, or else they'd die without much fight. The smell of dried blood of deceased prisoners masked Aesthelia's and Elliot's scents. The awful and wrenching smell helped them, even though it made Aesthelia vomit. It seems the situation made her overcome her fear of blood. She doesn't have much choice at this point."AGH…" Elliot groaned in pain as he was slowly gaining consciousness.Aesthelia swiftly goes to Elliot's side to assist him. "W-where am I?" Elliot asked worriedly. He's unable to get up and his visions are out. "We're hiding in the underground dungeon." "We are safe for now, but I don't kno
The gathering took place at the pack house. They are getting ready by informing every warrior wolf, even the wolves who are not yet trained, want to participate and protect their pack. The quiet and serious vibe going around was interrupted when human servants came running and barging. She's demanding for an answer."What do you mean, Aesthelia didn't come back with you?" Marie questioned the wolf who happened to go with the mission. She grabbed him by the clothes near his collar. Her strength seemed to match the wolf's. Marie just got the news of their arrival and came running as if her life was at stake. Aesthelia was like Marie's family. She lived most of her life taking care of Aesthelia and dedicated her life to Aesthelia's safety."Third-in-Command Aesthelia escorted us as soon as we were within the shield. She dashed off and disappeared. " A warrior wolf said patiently with more details. The disruption caught almost everyone's attention, including the higher wolves and the a
The sense of impending doom had vanished. Gior found himself panting as he attempted to awaken from a deep slumber. His wounds still cause him some discomfort.Unlike the grass and rough stone where he had fallen while unwittingly fighting a vampire, the bed where he was presently felt soft. The memories of the recent fight came crashing into him as soon as he recalled the bloodsucking creature—one more deep breath as he sat up with sweat flowing all over his body. "W-where am I?" He asked in a hoarse voice. His throat became dry, rendering him unable to speak. His eyes scanned the familiar ceiling and everything. It looks like they've gone back to the pack, at least that's what he thought. It means that they successfully completed the mission, which solved the pack storage shortage. "The Alpha is awake!" As soon as she saw Gior move, the salutary announced. A couple of howls soon followed, and they can be heard outside of the place. The werewolves who were terrified and heartbroken
