POV: AARON

No matter how much I tried to deny it, Callie’s words sent a chill down my spine like a sinister omen. My wolf roared in my mind, confirming her warnings: something terrible was about to happen to my pack—the first one I rebuilt after Hunter’s attack, when one of his followers took over as a false Alpha.

The lack of strength and leadership from that imposter was laughable, but no wolf dared to challenge him, fearing Hunter’s wrath and retaliation. Damn him!

“Nicoly, send the pictures to the command center of my fleet,” I growled, making her rush off immediately. “Callie, when I return, I want answers. How do you know what’s going to happen?”

“I…” She bit her lip, nervously wiping her eyes. “I don’t know how to explain it to you.”

“You’d better find a way because it seems you’

I’ll crush you like the insect you are.” I growled, tearing through the wolf’s throat and ripping off his head. I walked slowly toward the remaining enemy. “See that look of terror in your eyes? That stench of fear, like you’re about to piss yourself? That’s what I’m after. I want to see you all beg for your worthless lives.&rdq

POV: CALLIEI sat on the bed for a while, pondering: if Aaron didn’t return, did it mean the end for me? What would the pack do to me in their Alpha’s absence? Would I become prey again? Alarms rang in my mind; my wolf stirred restlessly, growling for us to flee and hide. May the Goddess protect us in the forest—it was better than the uncertainty of the Lycan King's claws. I sniffed the air, detecting the nuances of scents. There was only one wolf standing guard at the door. Feeling around, I noticed the window opened easily. I leaned forward, running my hands along the frame to “see” if there was a roof I could climb onto to escape. Nervously, I placed one foot, then the other, on the ledge, gripping the sides as my sense of smell worked overtime.Suddenly, the door burst open with a loud bang, and the nauseating scent along with Kemilly’s shrill, irritating voice filled the room hysterically.“You ungrate

Instinctively, I sniffed and then ran my tongue over the injured area, making him shudder and let out a low growl.“Little wolf,” the Alpha groaned, his fingers gently gripping my chin as he caressed it. “There are places where a tongue should never be on a male unless you’re ready for something more!”“I…” I pulled back, almost toppling over, but his strong hands steadied me by the waist.“Don’t touch me!” I protested, panting nervously.“My king…” Kemilly whimpered weakly. “Kill her! She’s been manipulating you and was trying to escape.”“Shut up, Kemilly!” the Alpha roared, his voice filled with

POV: AARONWe returned to the pack, and while the wolves were already tending to their wounds, my wolf dragged us toward her, on high alert, compelled by a primal need to protect her. When I reached the room, I saw the guard laughing at the scene, but his expression shifted the moment he noticed my presence. He dropped to his knees.“My King…” he murmured reverently.I strode forward in long, purposeful steps, pulling Kemilly back when I realized that Callie had overpowered her and was moments away from taking her life. Pride swelled in my chest at the sight—a raw satisfaction that brought a faint smile to my lips. She wasn’t weak, merely dormant, paralyzed by fear until now.“That’s enough, little wolf!” I growled, commanding her attention, watching as she stood there furious, visibly struggling to control her inner wolf. Her arms bore deep cut

POV: CALLIEAaron had a hold over me that I had never experienced before; his power frightened me, yet it also wrapped me in an unparalleled sense of protection. His touch was gentle, even though his words were not always as tender as his hands.I slid my hands between his legs, exploring curiously, while the other followed, trying to figure out what was so rigid and substantial between them. I let out a startled gasp when he pulled me onto his lap and then flipped us over on the bed, his body settling between my legs.My skin burned, flushed from the intimacy of the moment. With a swift motion, Aaron's hand reached my breast, and I let out a soft, breathy whimper as our lips parted.“Answer me!” the Alpha growled, his command making me tremble from head to toe.“I want to feel something other than pain.” I confessed in a whisper, almost pleading, wrapping my arms aroun

I shuddered at the sharp pain and burning sensation, relaxing as he stroked my hair and deepened the kiss. Moving further inside, Aaron paused periodically, giving me time to adjust to his size. The initial discomfort slowly gave way to desire as his rhythm became more fluid.“So tight,” he growled against my lips, intertwining our fingers. “You look stunning when you blush.”I gasped as his thrusts grew more intense, squeezing his hands tightly. His mouth left mine, traveling to my breasts, sucking them hungrily. I arched my back, tilting my hips toward him, wrapping my legs around his waist.“Callie, you're making it hard to hold back,” he growled, moving from my breasts, our sweaty bodies colliding in an intoxicating rhythm. “Fuck, you're incredible.”

POV: AARONSweet words slipped from Callie’s lips like a whisper.“To be yours.”My wolf roared with ecstasy, consumed by the desire to claim her, to savor her innocence and purity. She was more than I had anticipated—tight, warm, alive, and trembling. With every thrust, her walls clenched around my erection, sending shivers through me. Her intoxicating scent was addictive; I needed more of her constantly. I entered her gently, promising pleasure instead of pain. I had never been this delicate with any female before, but Callie awakened a primal need to protect her.Every sigh, my name whispered with each escaped moan, was an unmatched delight. The need for her consumed me, driving me to carry her to the bath after we both reached our peak, tangling ourselves in the warmth of the water.I bit her with fervor, lingering, until Callie brought me back to my senses, chastising me for not

POV: DANTECallie walked past us with her tail between her legs. Just imagining having to mark her as my Luna made me nauseous. Everything about this defective wolf disgusted me—she was flawed, incomplete, incapable of even shifting into her human form. If only she were less repulsive than her wolf form, perhaps she could be of some use.No one understood why the Alpha kept her alive. However, one day during a hunt, Hunter made it clear that despite his daughter’s insignificance, she came from a rare and unique lineage. Perhaps, with time, her powers would awaken, which would benefit our new God and give us an advantage over our enemies. It never made sense to me. But I started to notice how she reacted when we hunted her. Callie seemed to know exactly where to go, when to dodge, and what was coming next. Everything became clear that cursed night. I saw that useless omega sneaking out of his cell, agitated. I followed him

POV: AARONCallie had passed out. Her body was fuller than the last time I had seen her in person, and wounds stretched from her shoulders, trailing down her arms to the tips of her fingers. My eyes roamed over every inch of her skin, assessing the severity of her injuries, until they landed on the curve of her belly. It wasn’t that big, but it was noticeable—round, firm, and slightly swollen. I frowned, sniffing the air near her, when Yulli shoved me aside.“Move! I need to heal her!” The witch snapped impatiently. “Oh, my dear friend, you did it.”She spoke softly, running her fingers through Callie’s hair before beginning her healing spells.I started pacing, rubbing my chin, glancing at her from time to time while my nose kept twitching, sniffing in her direction… These scents.I closed my eyes, sharpening my hearing. It felt like a thousand blades were stabbing into my back and ribs. But I knew—I had to survive.I started running, darting beneath Hunter’s legs as he roared in fury, reaching out to grab me. I chased after the torn ribbon as if my life depended on it—because it did.Hunter was relentless, bloodthirsty, whistling coldly as he pursued me.“I’m going to catch you, prey!” he laughed through his fangs.I leaped, grasping the broken ribbon and merging it with the other just as Hunter seized my leg, trying to drag me back. The memories fused together, freezing the world around me. Can you see?”There was surprise in his tone.I looked again at the wounded she-wolf on the ground, feeling the ferocity of my beast stir at the sight of her—injured, cowering, trembling, and threatened.Hunter grabbed my hair roughly, yanking me toward him with a sharp breath.“How are you doing this?” he snarled through his fangs.“Don’t touch me!” I growled, my claws extending as I slashed at him the moment he let go. POV: AARON“No bond?” I clenched my hands nervously. Would that mean no Alpha in my dreams?“I'm afraid we don't have time for training and tests. It's only a matter of time before Nocturnus enters the city,” Lyra said.“But the wolves stopped, afraid to follow us here.” I commented, still in shock.“Even werewolves fear ghosts, especially powerful ones,” Yulli laughed, amused. “But that doesn’t apply to creatures controlled by Nocturnus.”“I…” I bit my lip, nervous. “I don’t want to lose my wolf. She’s part of who I am.”I didn’t want to admit out loud that I wasn’t just afraid of losing my wolf—I also feared never having him in my dreams again. POV: AARON“Some prey think they’re hunters. Sometimes, we have to leave our comfort to hunt down treacherous rats.” Keenan smirked sharply, scraping his claws against the table.“You bastard! Who the hell are you calling a rat?” Jaxon lunged toward him but stopped when Keenan lifted his head, meeting his gaze with icy indifference.“Forget it. If this is what the council wants and the Supreme Alpha’s decision, then take my place, and I’ll take yours.”“You will not!” The Supreme Beta’s threatening roar startled everyone—except me. Watching this power struggle was a pleasure; it allowed me to gauge the strength of my warriors within the pack.“If you can’t even handle simple management tasks and the protection of the Lycan King, what makes you think you’re capable of leading a central city?”

POV: AARONAfter the full moon, the city finally settled. The wolf howls faded, and the stillness of the night took over. Callie fell asleep in my arms, her body completely relaxing. Carefully, I carried her inside, laying her gently on the bed. I sank down beside her, running my fingers tenderly through her hair. I was exhausted, but a crooked smile formed on my lips as I looked at her. Furthermore, I truly wanted to care for and protect this wolf and her child.“Ours…” I corrected myself automatically, furrowing my brow at my own reaction. The word echoed in my mind.I stretched out my hand, hesitating for a moment before placing it on her belly. Leaning in, I tried to listen for the tiny, strong heartbeat inside her. A sudden kick met my touch, and I couldn’t help but smile—a genuine, admiring smile.“You’re already strong, little one. Are you trying to protect your mo

POV: CALLIEAaron stroked my hair while another movie played on the TV. Out of curiosity, I reached out to feel its shape, yawning despite my efforts to resist exhaustion, afraid that the dark god would be waiting for me there.“You know you'll have to sleep at some point,” the Alpha murmured, his voice slightly drowsy. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll be there with you.”“Even so, I’m not ready to face him,” I admitted, tracing my fingers idly across his bare chest, the tips tingling against his warm, smooth skin.“You don’t have to face him, little wolf. Leave the battles to me,” Aaron pressed a lingering kiss to the top of my head.“You’re exhausted too. And I don’t want to depend on anyone when it comes to battle…” I sighed, sitting up in bed. “I need to get stronger for Rigan.”

POV: AARONI asked the cook to make a homemade pizza. Honestly, it had been a while since I had eaten something like that too. It seemed like a great excuse and opportunity for a moment with Callie. I pulled her into my arms, wrinkling my nose at the TV screen, where the movie title stood out: “A Love Beyond Life.”I had never watched romantic movies, not even when past girlfriends asked me to go to the movies. Furthermore, I always preferred horror films… Maybe because I was used to a harsh life filled with battles.“You seem hesitant.” Callie whispered, settling her back against my chest, giving me a tempting view of her bare body. I bit my lips and pulled the sheet over her, knowing that otherwise I wouldn't be able to focus on any movie.“If you want, I can get dressed,” she offered.“And miss the chance to admire you from time to time?
