POV: AARON

Sweet words slipped from Callie’s lips like a whisper.

“To be yours.”

My wolf roared with ecstasy, consumed by the desire to claim her, to savor her innocence and purity. She was more than I had anticipated—tight, warm, alive, and trembling. With every thrust, her walls clenched around my erection, sending shivers through me. Her intoxicating scent was addictive; I needed more of her constantly. I entered her gently, promising pleasure instead of pain. I had never been this delicate with any female before, but Callie awakened a primal need to protect her.

Every sigh, my name whispered with each escaped moan, was an unmatched delight. The need for her consumed me, driving me to carry her to the bath after we both reached our peak, tangling ourselves in the warmth of the water.

I bit her with fervor, lingering, until Callie brought me back to my senses, chastising me for not

POV: DANTECallie walked past us with her tail between her legs. Just imagining having to mark her as my Luna made me nauseous. Everything about this defective wolf disgusted me—she was flawed, incomplete, incapable of even shifting into her human form. If only she were less repulsive than her wolf form, perhaps she could be of some use.No one understood why the Alpha kept her alive. However, one day during a hunt, Hunter made it clear that despite his daughter’s insignificance, she came from a rare and unique lineage. Perhaps, with time, her powers would awaken, which would benefit our new God and give us an advantage over our enemies. It never made sense to me. But I started to notice how she reacted when we hunted her. Callie seemed to know exactly where to go, when to dodge, and what was coming next. Everything became clear that cursed night. I saw that useless omega sneaking out of his cell, agitated. I followed him

I want to know how!” I lifted Orion’s limp body, then smirked as I realized, “But I think I broke him.” Tossing him to the ground, I smiled darkly as he groaned in pain and dragged himself along.“Beta, there’s a hidden village below the stream, known only to a few in our pack. Meet me there in a few days. I want to know exactly what this plan is,” I commanded, noticing the trail of blood Orion was leaving behind. Picking him up again, I turned my sharp gaze to Jaxon, who watched me with a strange glint in his eye. “And the female, Esmeralda—keep her safe, or you’ll pay the price!”“I thought your mate’s name was; what was it

POV: CALLIEI was walking across a lush green field, surrounded by the delightful aromas of mixed flowers. The sun kissed my skin with gentle caresses, and I closed my eyes, tilting my chin toward the sky, feeling invigorated. The sound of children laughing caught my attention, and I approached, watching as two young wolf pups played, biting and leaping at each other, while a little she-wolf hid in the tall grass, preparing to ambush them. The moment she pounced on them, both yelped in surprise, sparking a playful tussle. A man came into view, effortlessly scooping up two of the children under his arms, while a beautiful woman walked by me, embracing the little girl in a loving hug.“You know you shouldn't scare your brothers!” she gently scolded.“Mom… All they do is play. How will they ever protect us—or themselves—if they don’t take this seriously?” the girl whin

But beyond that…” the former Alpha began, speaking to his son.“And here I thought the list was already long!” the young wolf replied, rolling his eyes.“It's important, Aaron!” Zephyr growled in admonishment, drawing his attention. “As the future Supreme Alpha, you must always keep this in mind. You are the balancing line for the packs, the supreme order. If a pack fails, it means you are failing as well.”“But doesn't an Alpha only govern one pack?” Aaron asked curiously, sitting beside his father and leaning closer.

Control my gift to become his eyes?“What does that mean?” I asked, still lost and hesitant about the weight and significance of such a promise. Could I trust the Alpha to be my eyes? Or was I just preying, used for the wolves’ hunt?“Exactly what the words say, little wolf. Foresee the future for me; be my vision to keep me steps ahead of my enemies, and I’ll ensure you see the present without missing a single detail,” he growled, rubbing his nose against mine and pulling me to my feet. “Let me show you!”“Where are we going?” I asked, letting go of his hands and taking a few cautious steps back.“You’re still afraid of me,” the Alpha stated with a soft growl. “I&

POV: AARONCallie had passed out. Her body was fuller than the last time I had seen her in person, and wounds stretched from her shoulders, trailing down her arms to the tips of her fingers. My eyes roamed over every inch of her skin, assessing the severity of her injuries, until they landed on the curve of her belly. It wasn’t that big, but it was noticeable—round, firm, and slightly swollen. I frowned, sniffing the air near her, when Yulli shoved me aside.“Move! I need to heal her!” The witch snapped impatiently. “Oh, my dear friend, you did it.”She spoke softly, running her fingers through Callie’s hair before beginning her healing spells.I started pacing, rubbing my chin, glancing at her from time to time while my nose kept twitching, sniffing in her direction… These scents.I closed my eyes, sharpening my hearing. Can you see?”There was surprise in his tone.I looked again at the wounded she-wolf on the ground, feeling the ferocity of my beast stir at the sight of her—injured, cowering, trembling, and threatened.Hunter grabbed my hair roughly, yanking me toward him with a sharp breath.“How are you doing this?” he snarled through his fangs.“Don’t touch me!” I growled, my claws extending as I slashed at him the moment he let go. It's only a matter of time before Nocturnus enters the city,” Lyra said.“But the wolves stopped, afraid to follow us here.” I commented, still in shock.“Even werewolves fear ghosts, especially powerful ones,” Yulli laughed, amused. “But that doesn’t apply to creatures controlled by Nocturnus.”“I…” I bit my lip, nervous. “I don’t want to lose my wolf. She’s part of who I am.”I didn’t want to admit out loud that I wasn’t just afraid of losing my wolf—I also feared never having him in my dreams again. Carefully, I carried her inside, laying her gently on the bed. I sank down beside her, running my fingers tenderly through her hair. I was exhausted, but a crooked smile formed on my lips as I looked at her. Furthermore, I truly wanted to care for and protect this wolf and her child.“Ours…” I corrected myself automatically, furrowing my brow at my own reaction. The word echoed in my mind.I stretched out my hand, hesitating for a moment before placing it on her belly. Leaning in, I tried to listen for the tiny, strong heartbeat inside her. Out of curiosity, I reached out to feel its shape, yawning despite my efforts to resist exhaustion, afraid that the dark god would be waiting for me there.“You know you'll have to sleep at some point,” the Alpha murmured, his voice slightly drowsy. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll be there with you.”“Even so, I’m not ready to face him,” I admitted, tracing my fingers idly across his bare chest, the tips tingling against his warm, smooth skin.“You don’t have to face him, little wolf. Leave the battles to me,” Aaron pressed a lingering kiss to the top of my head.“You’re exhausted too. And I don’t want to depend on anyone when it comes to battle…” I sighed, sitting up in bed. “I need to get stronger for Rigan.”
