Chapter 7-Bad news

Stella cried when she received news from the Philippines. Wearily, she sat down on the sofa and slowly turned to look at her grandfather.

“What happened? And who are you talking to?” Fausto asked his granddaughter.

Stella cried even more and could hardly open her mouth. She opened her mouth several times but no words came out.

“Stella, tell me what happened?” Fausto yelled at his granddaughter and was agitated to see her tears.

“Grandpa, Daddy is…”

Fausto’s jaw dropped and his shoulders slowly slumped. He shook his head while not taking his eyes off his crying granddaughter.

“Daddy is gone, grandpa!” She was sobbing.

Fausto quickly approached his granddaughter and hugged her tightly. Suddenly, his heart went numb and he couldn’t cry.

“Grandpa, what am I going to do now that Daddy is gone? Why is this happening? I was just talking to him, and he was on his way here.” Even her shoulders were shaking from crying. What happened was sudden and she couldn’t accept it.

“I’ll go home
