Vincent angrily slammed the folder he was holding on the table after watching the news. Stella and Charles’ wedding is over, and they weren’t even invited.

“Grandpa, all the board of directors and investors have been invited apart from our ally. It seems that the next thing they will do is to take your position.”

Vincent looked sharply at Vans. “You’ve been really useless, and those two got married before you knew it!”

Vans sighed and accepted the sharp words from his grandfather. It’s only been a few weeks since the trouble happened at the hotel, so he didn’t expect this sudden wedding of Charles and Stella.

“You and your sister have become useless and worthless!” Vincent growled at his grandson again.

“Grandpa, calm down. We need to think of a solution now instead of fighting and arguing.” He calmly begged the old man.

Vincent placed his fisted palm down on the table. “Your sister, make sure she can’t escape!”

“She’s being closely guarded, grandpa. But we can’t lock her up for long

Diana’s mind returned to the present when she heard the door open. She hugged herself even more in fear when she saw her brother enter.“I’m not with Grandpa.”Her fear subsided when she heard what her brother said.“Next week you will be out here, and you will have to do what Grandpa tells you to do.”Diana shook her head while still hugging her knees. She would rather die now than make a move to harm her cousin and Mauro. She felt that she was fighting life alone. No one loves her, and she doesn’t want to die while everyone is hateing her, especially Mauro.Vans was shocked by his sister’s stubbornness. If their grandfather was with him right now, the old man would have hurt her again. He didn’t think that her love for Mauro was so strong, and she was ready to sacrifice herself for that man.“If you persist, Grandfather will be forced to kill that man!”Diana looked up fearfully and tearfully as she stared at her brother. “Brother, that’s enough. We’re rich enough to want more of St

When she was alone again, Diana thought. She just wants to get away and change her life. She wants to find her own happiness in other people’s identities. Mauro is unlikely to love her because of her family background. Another thing is that she heard him that day at the hotel that he had no intention of her being a part of his family. She then returned to the room to get her bag that was left inside. She also hoped that the young man would stop her and snatch her from her brother’s hand. But she heard the painful truth from the young man.“I don’t want those criminals to be family members!” Mauro’s words left a mark on Diana’s mind.“He had no choice when he possessed you because of drugs,” Diana reminded herself. She slowly closed her eyes and tried to dismiss what was bothering her mind. If she could just sleep forever, she would. But just a little rustle around her, she suddenly wakes up with fear in her chest.“How are the newlyweds and my future godchild doing?” Mauro greets Stel

“Sir, Mr. Mauro is outside.” The servant informed the old man.Vincent stood up violently from his seat and was surprised by Mauro’s sudden visit. He had no idea that he would negotiate for his granddaughter because he knew he had no love for Diana. Whatever his plan was now and rushing there alone, he would make sure he wouldn’t succeed. “Let him in!”Mauro looked around the mansion when he entered the gate. Until he entered the house, he remained alert. An assistant met him and took him to the visiting area of the mansion.“Nice to see you again!” Vincent greeted the young man.The aura of Mauro’s face remained formal as he faced the gentleman. He is old, but his character still exudes dominance and strange courage. He still looks muscular, like Stella’s grandfather.“Sit down,” Vincent offered when no response elicited from the young man. He didn’t even notice him to feel uncomfortable that he was facing him.“I’m here to talk about your negotiation,” Mauro said, showing no emotion

Even Meashelle burst into tears and quickly hugged the woman and comforted her. “It’s okay, I’m here, and I’ll help you give your baby a beautiful life,” she encouraged her to strengthen her will.“My brother and Grandpa can’t know about this!” Her voice trembled, and she was afraid for her baby.If she is really pregnant, her family will definitely use it to get her to follow them. And worse, they might force her to abort the baby because the child will be an obstacle to what they want her to do so.Meashelle nodded as she wiped the tears from the woman’s cheeks with the back of her own palm. “Don’t cry anymore. You need to be strong and stable more now for your future child.”Diana nodded with a smile. She is really happy now, even though it has not been confirmed that she is indeed pregnant. She now has a reason to fight life and be happy. Even if her child is the result of a mistake, the important thing is that it comes from the man she loves. She will nurture it and love it. She

It was as if a thorn was pulled out of Diana’s whole body when her back hit the soft bed. “Thank you!” She smiled sadly at Meashelle.Meashelle smiled at the woman with her mouth closed. She really felt sorry for her, and she knew that she would have to deal with something else when she was allowed to leave the house. “Avoid the doctor touching your wrist when she examines your body.”Diana nodded when she heard her friend’s whisper. After a while, the doctor arrived with her grandfather. She checked the wound on her back as well as her body temperature.“After a few more days, her wound will be dry. I have a cream to apply to the scars left by her wound so that it won’t be obvious when she comes out. She needs to continue taking antibiotics to prevent infections.”“Did you hear what the doctor said?” Vincent talks to his granddaughter.Diana quickly nodded to her grandfather and thanked the doctor. She was about to hold her hand, but she quickly avoided the doctor’s palm. She acted a

Charles formally faced those present and looked straight. “First of all, I married Stella not because of the company. I have my own company, and its foundation is solid. To make it short, Stella was already my wife, and we have a child.”Everyone was shocked to hear the revelation from Charles; they were staring at the man in disbelief. Even Vans was surprised by this sudden admission of Charles. He had an idea about Stella’s pregnancy then, but he didn’t think the child was actually alive.“Like you said, you used to be married. It means you broke up and you only got her back when you found out she was the granddaughter of a billionaire.”Charles looked at Luis, who had been arguing for a while. It also looks like he has a strong will and is not afraid of being ousted from his current position.“Mr. Luis, we’re in a new generation now, and it’s normal to have misunderstandings in a relationship or companionship. Charles and I love each other; that’s why we got back together, and it’s

Fausto welcomed his cousin’s burning gaze with a smile. He knows that this position of his as chairman is what he dreamed of the most. He will let him experience the role as CEO first, but he won’t make it long either.Stella proudly shook hands with those who were there with her husband. Many were afraid to disagree because of her grandfather’s threat earlier.“Thank you very much for welcoming me today as your chairman. I will promise to keep the company stable and take care of your interest with the help of Mr. CEO.” Stella looked at Vincent with a smile.Vincent was also forced to smile and approached Stella to join her in the front. Right, he has a big role in the company, so he shouldn’t be so angry right now. He will let the new chairman trust him fully. He secretly smirked as he faced everyone.“Don’t worry, Grandpa Vincent, if you are removed from your position in the company, one of your grandchildren will take your place. But maybe you have an idea who I’m talking about?” S

Diana quickly sorted herself out when she heard that her brother and grandfather had returned home. After a while, her brother entered her room.“How are you feeling?”“I’m fine,” she answered flatly to her brother. She didn’t flinch when her brother touched her chin and examined her cheeks. He ensures that there is no trace of their violence on her face. Next, he looked at her arm. There is a scar there that is noticeable when cream is not applied.“From now on, when you go out, you will wear longsleeve clothes so that they won’t notice what’s on your shoulder. If you’re going to wear sleeveless, make sure you put cream on it.”She didn’t answer her brother and just let him check on her skin.“Get ready next week, and you will attend the event that will be held at the company. Don’t make a mistake this time because that man’s life will be the price if you repeat the mistake you made before.”Diana’s teeth gritted, but her expression remained blank. She shot a cold look at her brother

Stella approached her cousin when she saw her. They are now at the registrar’s office of a well-known judge for their marriage. Up to this day, she can’t believe that this is how simple and only a wedding ceremony that Diana wants. The girl dreams high and is nitpicky, but now her cousin’s behavior has changed so much that she doesn’t even recognize her.“Are you really all right?” Stella asked Diana, sounds worried.“Do I look not okay?” Diana also asked with a frown. She wasn’t feeling well when she woke up earlier, and she didn’t want anyone talking to her right now.If it wasn’t for her wedding now, she had no intention of leaving her room. She was wearing a simple white dress. When she looked at Denise, it looked like she was the one going to get married and was clinging to Mauro’s arm. The bitch really had the guts to show here when, in the first place, this is all about family matters.Stella sighed before looking at Diana’s brother and grandfather. It can be seen on their face

“Shit, what is it again, Diana?” Mauro asked the girl, yelling. It’s a good thing that there was no car following them because he suddenly stepped on the brake.“Sorry, I saw sister Meashelle’s favorite food,” Diana explained like a scolded child.Meashelle immediately got what the girl wanted to convey. “Ahh, that’s right. The truth is that I went with Señorita Diana to buy the food I really loved.”Mauro frowned and looked around to find the diner. But he sees nothing but street vendors.Meashelle looked at Diana questioningly, and she didn’t know what food she wanted to buy for her.Diana first glanced at Mauro. Seeing that his attention was not on them, she immediately whispered to Meashelle, which made her look flustered.Meashelle was suddenly in trouble because of the girl’s wish. She doesn’t know what to do and must tell Mauro so she doesn’t get suspicious.“Are you alright? Why haven’t you come down to buy?” Mauro asked the assistant.Diana elbowed Meashelle in her side. And

“Oh, eat this to get rid of your anger.” Meashelle gave a slice of mango to the girl as they walked to the entrance of the store.Diana immediately took a bite of it. She was about to ask for one more slice when she noticed two people looking intently at her. She slowly chewed what was in her mouth and continued to walk slowly.“Are they waiting for us?” Meashelle asked Diana in a whisper.Diana shrugged as she looked straight at Mauro. Well, he couldn’t see her eyes because she was wearing dark shades. He frowned again while looking at her. Her mouth was still full of mango slices, and she didn’t want to finish it right away. She is still enjoying the taste of the mango juice. She anchored on Meashelle’s arm, and when they were close to Mauro and Denise, they hurriedly past them.“Where are you going?” Mauro asked Diana sternly.“Going home.” She answered the young man in a muffled way because her mouth was still full and she didn’t bother to look at him.Mauro quickly chased after t

“Sir, try to put the ring on your fiancée’s finger to see if it fits her,” the saleswoman suggested while looking at Denise.Without a word, Mauro took the ring from the saleswoman and approached Diana. He carelessly took her palm to put the ring on her finger.Diana held herself not to moan in pain when Mauro carelessly grabbed her swollen hand. She withdrew her hand from his grasp, but he only tightened it so much that she was already shrugging.Mauro frowned and stared at the girl’s face. She was obviously hurt, and her lips pressed together tightly. When he looked at the back of her palm again, he noticed that it was red.Diana quickly withdrew her hand and moved it away from the young man. “I will measure it myself.” She extended her right palm in front of him.“What happened to your hand?” Instead, he asked the girl and did not give her the ring.“Nothing,” she responded coldly to Mauro and kept her palm open.Mauro sighed, and the woman’s behavior really changed. Fate 2Chapter 16: RingThe next day, Mauro’s driver picked Diana up after nine in the morning. She did not ask where the young man was. She’s still with Meashelle because it was what her grandfather wants, which is in her favor.“Why were we brought here?” Meashelle asked while looking up at a large and tall building.“This is where Mauro’s family’s company is,” Diana answered shortly before taking another bite of the mango. When she looked at the driver, his face could no longer be painted, and he was feeling sour from what she was eating.“I thought we were going to a jewelry shop and—”“Sir Mauro had something important to go to, so he’s not here yet. It was Sir Kobe who ordered that Ma’am Diana be brought here first,” the driver’s quick explanation.Meashelle glared at the driver and did not let her finish speaking. But he just smiled at her. She quickly put the other mangoes aside and put them in the bag she was carrying so that Diana could eat them again later.Diana hurriedly

Mauro just waited for his father to return before starting to talk about his marriage with Diana again.“Hija, when do you want to set the wedding and where?” Beth asked Diana.Diana was about to open her mouth, but Mauro preceded her to speak.“A simple wedding would be enough because you are in a hurry. Also, I don’t want many people to know about the wedding.”It was like a needle pierced Diana’s heart when she heard what Mauro said. It’s as if he said that he was ashamed of her as his wife, so he didn’t want people to know her. She would have answered the same, that she wanted a simple wedding ceremony. It’s just more painful to hear it from the mouth of the man she loves.“No way. Diana is my only granddaughter, and I want her to experience a fancy wedding! We have our own money; if it's because of the expenses, I’ll take care of it!” Vincent objected.Kobe sighed, and there will be another misunderstanding. “Señor, money is not a problem here!”“Grandpa, it’s alright. She should not be angry and disappointed with Mauro. Above all, she didn’t need to explain, and she let him just look at her like that. She knows that he won’t believe her, so she shouldn’t show her real emotions. The expression she showed at the two was blank, and her mouth remained closed.Mauro was only irritated when Diana remained silent and he couldn’t read what was on her mind. As long as she does not eat any sour foods, she continues to throw up.In the living room, Vincent grinned after putting down the cellphone.“What’s the next plan, grandpa?” Vans asked as he approached his grandfather.“Let’s get ready bec
