"Tim, Take care of her, you know what to do, bring her to the library after she finished her dinner," said James after he and Becky were back at the mansion.
"Yes, sir!" said Timothy, nodding politely at his boss then he looked at Becky from head to toe and got a little surprised when he saw the shoes she was wearing. Without looking at Becky at all, James Miller walked out of the living room into the hallway that led him to the elevator to the second floor where his room was.
"Come on, this way!" said Timothy while moving his chin, signaling Becky to follow him. Without saying anything she followed him with a gloomy and pale face. "Did you know what would happen to me?" asked her as she walked down the hall to the back door of the mansion.
"No," said Timothy curtly, he kept walking without looking at her who was walking next to him.
"You must know the reason why my father stole that expensive painting, please tell me!" she said as she stood in front of Timothy, blocking his path. He took a deep breath, "No, I don't know anything except the fact that your father is involved with America's first-rate gang of thieves," he said dryly.
Becky's eyes widened, "What?! No way! How could he possibly be involved with such a gang?!"
Timothy shifted and continued on his way.
"Has he joined that gang a long time ago? Or has he joined recently?" asked Becky, trying to keep up with Timothy's wide strides.
"I don't know about that."
"Okay, but do you know the reason why he joined such a dangerous gang?" asked her with a depressed face.
"No, I don't know and why should I know about that? So could you please stop asking me questions because Mr. Miller wouldn't like to see us talking to each other like this," Timothy said quickly.
"Why?"
"Because I have a lot of secrets that you shouldn't know, so now shut up and follow me," he said as he walked out the back door onto a path of beautiful natural stones heading to the pavilion that was located in the corner of the mansion.
Becky scowled, but she had no right to force Timothy to speak because she knew the man was just doing his job.
She looked to her right and left, the shady trees and colorful flowers that were neatly arranged in the garden made her feel better. She had a lot to find out, but for now, she had no choice but to play James Miller's game.
They finally stopped in front of a small pavilion with a koi pond in front of it.
"You will stay in this room, later someone will come to deliver a change of clothes for you, I will pick you up after dinner around eight o'clock, any questions?" Timothy looked up at her who looked lethargic.
"May I have my cell phone and bag, please? Mr. Miller took them from me," said Becky, her face turned irritated whenever she spoke of that snob.
Timothy shook his head, "I don't have the right to that, you can ask him when you see him, anything else?"
Becky shook her head, her mind torn between her father and her siblings.
"Okay then, here's the key, come on in and clean yourself up, put on a bathrobe until someone comes to deliver clothes for you, I'm off," Timothy babbled like a robot.
Becky just stared at Timothy's back silently. With a slight limp she entered the pavilion.
There was one medium-sized bed with two nightstands on either side. A sofa with a bookshelf containing a row of books and there was also a table in front of the sofa on which two bottles of mineral water were still sealed.
She threw herself onto the sofa, tired.
Did things really have to end like that? What about her life? Her siblings? She couldn't leave them to Nina forever, even though Nina was a very kind neighbor but she couldn't take advantage of her kindness like that, that was not fair...
Fifteen minutes later a bodyguard came and delivered clothes and dinner for her.
"Wait!" she called to the bodyguard as he was about to go back to the mansion. He turned around and looked at her with raised eyebrows.
"Since coming to this place I haven't seen a single woman, are all the workers here male?" she asked curiously.
Surprisingly the bodyguard nodded.
Becky's eyes almost popped out of place, "So I'm the only woman here?!" she shouted in bewilderment.
The bodyguard nodded again while stifling a laugh, "Good luck!" he said before walking away leaving her who was too shocked to say anything.
It turned out that the strangeness did not end there when she opened the package of clothes that the bodyguard had given her earlier, she became even more speechless.
An oversized white male shirt and a black belt, no pants no skirt. 'Oh Lord!' did she have to wear those clothes to meet James Miller?
"Don't you think this is ridiculous? To dress like this among you guys?!" she babbled as Timothy picked her up. He didn't laugh at all, "That's all you can wear right now, there are no women in this mansion and it's too late to go buy clothes," he replied flatly.
She snorted, looking down at her long legs that opened up to her thighs. Her feet were covered by oversized sandals, she truly felt that she was like a clown ready to be carried on a parade.
Timothy led her to the second floor where the library room was. Along the way to the library they did not speak to each other because she knew, Timothy would not answer anything she asked about his master. But suddenly he turned to her and said,
"Don't argue with anything Mr. Miller says to you, it will only make him more annoyed, good luck!"
Becky nodded stiffly, somewhat taken aback by Timothy's words. Nervously She opened the library door and went inside. From a distance, she could see James Miller sitting on a swivel chair with a pile of papers in front of him. She walked over to him and stood in front of him. She didn't know how to greet him so she chose to remain silent.
"Sit down and read this!" suddenly James Miller looked up and threw a pile of documents in front of her. When he saw the clothes she was wearing he snorted and looked away making her sneer in annoyance.
“Slavery Agreement? Why do I have to sign this?" asked her, feeling humiliated.
"Because I don't want to do anything illegal, just sign it if you want your father to live in peace until he manages to return my painting!" said James Miller coldly, he rose from his seat and turned around to the window the see the sky that looked gloomy just like the face of the woman in front of him.
With a huff, she read all the points listed.
"Taking care of all of James Miller's needs from A to Z including if..." she suddenly glared in surprise when she read the last point.
"Are you crazy?! I will never have sex with you!"
*****
"Now you can say no to that, but if your father doesn't bring my painting back to me, you won't be able to escape all this..." said James Miller with a smirk on his face.Becky felt so nauseous, she caught her breath, trying not to panic. She knew her father would return to free her soon. He might be crazy but he's still a father."Whatever! You really are a sociopath!" she snapped while signing the document roughly.James Miller just snorted, not bothering to deny what Becky said."I've signed this document, now I want my cell phone back! I have to call my siblings!" said Becky, throwing the document on the table in front of James Miller, who was sitting straight with his hands across his chest.James Miller took a paper bag and gave it to her."Use this, don't be stupid I will know who you are talking to, and what you are looking for on the internet, I am the king of my own palace, so if you want your life to be easy, stay away from anything that will trigger my anger," he raved whi
Becky was stunned when her eyes met James Miller's. For a while, she thought he would withdraw her hand but what happened was..."No!!!"He let go of her hand and plunged her into the three-meter-deep pool. She tried to swim frantically, but she had a hard time because she couldn't swim. As she rose to the surface she could see James Miller staring at her with furrowed brows, maybe he thought she was joking?"Help me!" she shouted through the water that was starting to enter her mouth. She began to be unable to hold her breath, for a moment she thought her life would be ended up just like that, but suddenly someone jumped into the pool and pulled her out just as she lost her consciousness. She coughed, feeling water gush out of her mouth. When she opened her eyes, she saw James Miller looking down at her with a tense face."Hey, you're awake?" he asked, waving his hand in front of her face. She weakly blinked her eyes as an answer. He took a deep breath, "Tim!" he shouted as he rose t
"No, I'm not. I spent most of my day in this room, so you have to be here to serve me," said James Miller casually. Becky shook her head, "No, I don't want to," she mumbled as if she has the right to decline his order.James Miller shrugged, "I'm afraid you have no choice Ms. Beckett, now why don't you come with me, I'm gonna show you around," he said firmly. Becky stomped her foot in annoyance but she knew she didn't have another choice but to obey his order."This room is not as large as you think, that's the kitchen, where you're gonna cook for me every day, and put this in your mind, I like to keep everything neat, no stains no messy stuff, just put everything in the right place, you got it?"Becky sneered, but she didn't say anything."I'm asking you and you have to answer it, do you understand?" snapped James Miller, his eyes staring at her sharply."Oh God, yes I do!" shouted Becky impatiently."You can just say 'Yes Mr. Miller' that sounds better."Becky rolled her eyes, her c
With trembling hands, Becky opened the refrigerator and took out the ingredients. She didn't know what to cook, but she didn't dare to ask, not after what James Miller had done to her. Honestly, the slap from the leather whip didn't hurt at all, it's just that the pressure he gave really made her mentally shaken. She had never seen such a thing before. She looked up nervously, she could see James Miller was sitting on a work chair facing directly into the vast backyard, his hands were busy typing on his laptop. She could have taken a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the back, but she knew she wasn't a murderer, not even when she was in the most unfortunate situation like that. She breathed out heavily, for the time being, she would only follow James Miller's game while waiting for what she could do for the next.Luckily she spent half her life taking care of Alex and Phoebe, it made her quite good at kitchen matters. She took a french baguette, melon, ham, and cheese then started to m
Becky was taken aback when she saw James Miller throw her stained white linen dress onto the floor and trample it furiously. She didn't dare to ask him anything and just stayed silent in a squatting position while trying to cover her almost naked body. A few moments later he walked away without saying a word. She breathed a sigh of relief, she looked at James Miller's back questioningly. Behind his cold demeanor, she knew he was hiding something. She stood up and walked on tiptoe down the corridor, heading to her room. But before she got there, she bumped into him who was heading towards her in a hurry."Clean the kitchen and put things back the way they were," he said dryly as if nothing had happened to them before.Becky shrieked in surprise, she crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Um, yes Mr. Miller, but I have to get dressed first," she replied nervously.James Miller looked at her from head to toe."No need, I can't hold back any longer watching my kitchen fall apart like th
Becky hurriedly opened her eyes and sat down after James Miller came out of the room. She bit her lip, thinking. Maybe he wasn't that bad after all. If he could seduce him, maybe she could get out of that ridiculous bondage. She jumped out of bed and walked on tiptoe out, she peeked into the living room, but no one was there. Maybe Timothy was gone, but where was James?Suddenly a snort sounded in the back of Becky's head making her shudder in surprise. She turned around to find him standing behind her with his arms folded across his chest."What are you doing?" he asked dryly.Becky turned around nervously, "Um, nothing, just to see if Mr. Davis is gone or not," she answered nonchalantly."Why?""Um, there aren't any clothes in my room, I need to get them out from the pavilion," replied Becky haltingly."Mr. Davis will get it for you later, come with me," said James, accepting no refusal.Hesitantly Becky followed behind him, she had to be nice and sweet so that he would pity her and
Just as she was brought into that secret room once again, she knew something bad was about to happen. But James Miller with all his charisma made her unable to move even the slightest. Suddenly she seemed to lose her strength...She was laid on the bed, then tied up once again with handcuffs. She knew he might think she was going to scream or something, but all she did was stay still and wait as a slave resigned to her punishment. She felt stupid because it seemed like she herself expected that to happen, she was the one who made it happen in the end for she too boldly seduced her master. She could see James Miller walking over to the shelf to get something. Before long he returned with several items that made her gulp in fear just by seeing them. There was a part of her that felt like screaming and begging to be released, but there was another part that was curious and wanted that 'whatever' bad thing to happen..."You really challenged me, didn't you?" he hissed as he tied a silk co
Becky looked at James Miller from a distance, she took a deep breath and then walked over to him. She stood in the corner of the room, in front of her James Miller was sitting while enjoying his lunch which had been delayed because of her bad cooking. "Come here," he said, waving his hand for Becky to come closer to him. "Yes sir." "Sit down," said he, pointing to the chair in front of him. Without further questioning, she pulled out the chair and sat on it. "From now on you have to come with me wherever I go even to the office, you will always stick with me and serve my needs no matter what happens," he said flatly. Becky wanted to protest but a clever thought popped into her head. If she had to follow James wherever he went, that meant she could escape anytime when she had the chance! "Don't even think about running away because I will never let that happen, not before your father returns my painting to me," James Miller said without looking up at Becky who was quite surprised
Becky's question was left unanswered. That day James took her back to LA, which confused her, he asked him, but again her question remained unanswered. They landed safely at LAX and continued to James' mansion, which gave Becky a goosebump when she looked at it, recalling the chaotic day when that tragedy happened."Okay, that's enough!" Becky stopped her step and snatched away James' hand, which was holding her wrist. "Can you at least tell me what's going on here? Why are you flying to LA when our wedding is just days away?" she raved, her chest heaving. "I know it's a fake wedding, but I don't like that you changed the plan without my approval. I mean, am I that insignificant to you?"James stopped. He exhaled long and then turned around at her."Those media attention is the last thing I wanted to get right now. I'm canceling the wedding at the Plaza. We're moving here," he said firmly.Becky gulped, "So I'm going to stay here until you don't need me anymore?" she muttered, staring
"Can you please leave me alone? I need time..." said Becky without looking at him. James nodded. He walked away from her and stopped right at the door."Everything will be fine. You don't have to worry," he said, staring at the back of her head with a warm gaze. Becky didn't say anything. She buried her face between her knees, sobbing. She didn't know that James was standing still behind the door, confused about how he could help her go through that situation. After he left, she dared herself to activate her cell phone. Since she was not famous, people might not be interested in her story. She shouldn't be over-worried, should she?So she swiped the screen, opened her social media, and was shocked. There were so many people putting harsh comments on every picture she uploaded.'She's marrying James Miller just to satisfy her shopping habit. She does not feel guilty after what her father has done to him! Such a bitch!''I bet she's not that pretty in real life. And many other nasty com
"Are you kidding me? Why would you come with us?" asked Becky, who finally canceled to go to dinner with Alan. James shrugged, "I just wanted to join in,?" he said lightly. "Oh really?!" she rolled her eyes, then turned her face toward the window again. They were in the car, just out of The Plaza area."Where are we going?" she asked nonchalantly."Home," he said."Okay, drive me to my apartment. I really need some me time," she said bluntly."No, we're going back to my penthouse," he said undeniably."Excuse me? We're not married yet! We don't have to live together! I want to go back to my apartment!" raved Becky, she didn't know why but she felt like staying in her apartment alone to clear her head from all those sudden things that happened to her.James pulled the car over,"Look, I don't have time to fight! The wedding is only days away! You think it's easy to arrange a sudden wedding?!" he said annoyedly."I never wanted a fight. It's you who always started it! It's difficult for
Feeling better, she rushed to wash in the bathroom and got dressed. There were far more critical things to consider, like how she would announce her sudden wedding plans to the public. They must have been shocked, especially her siblings. But things might be more difficult if they discovered that James hadn't returned his memories.Let's say the marriage happened, at last, then temporary happiness will soon be created, and years later, all will end sadly because of a divorce that was supposed to happen. She took a deep breath, feeling guilty that her father's sins had resulted in her getting involved in a fake marriage to someone who should be her husband and who loved her the most.Thirty minutes later, she was ready with a knee-length casual dress in brick red. She let her long hair down. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her cheeks would turn red with embarrassment whenever she remembered what she had done with James earlier. Suddenly she could hear someone knock on the door."Y
With an annoyed face, Becky returned to James's penthouse. She still couldn't accept the trap she had set. If she had known from the start that her shopping expenses would be deducted from her own money she would not have spent that much!"Follow me," he said, climbing the stairs to the second floor."We're not going to sleep together, aren't we?" said her curiously. He snorted in laughter, "What did you just say? Do you think I'm willing to sleep with you? You may still be unable to forget what happened to us back then but trust me. I don't remember any of that. I even forgot how you tasted!"Becky didn't reply. However, she lost her virginity to him, which bothered her quite a bit. She stepped ahead of James with a shopping bag in her hand. James looked at her back. He understood what was happening in her head but wasn't lying when he said he didn't remember anything about her."I forgot which one is my room?" asked Becky when they were on the second floor, she looked around the ro
Becky grimaced. She looked at James with an annoyed look. "We accidentally bumped into each other. How about you? What are you doing here?" she asked, trying to sound cheerful. James looked at her and Richard alternately, "Accidentally bumped into each other? What is that supposed to mean?" he muttered with a raised eyebrow.Richard cleared his throat softly, "I'd better get back to the office, Becky thanks for your time!" he said as he rose to his feet, nodded once to James, and then hurriedly left them. He knew something terrible might going to happen."Are you following me?!" Becky said, her eyes squinting at James suspiciously. He chuckled, "Following you? Do you think I don't have anything else to do? Why would I follow you?! I wanted to pick up something I left in Michael's office, and I accidentally saw you with that annoying guy!""That annoying guy you said? You don't even know him! How can you call him like that? You're even a thousand times more annoying than him! I mean th
"Um, Richard, nice to meet you. I have to go now!" said Becky, shaking Richard's hand awkwardly."Let's go this way!" said Michael West, leading James and Becky to his office. "Bye!" said Richard, smiling warmly before Becky disappeared from the hallway."What? You like him?" muttered James coldly."Haha, so funny!" replied Becky with a sarcastic tone."Remember you are someone's future wife, don't flirt with other men or...""Or what?" she challenged him."Or you'll get the consequences," hissed James in a serious tone that made Becky shudder in horror, remembering the torture she once got from him. While Becky was busy with her thoughts, James suddenly pulled her hand away."Are you going to keep thinking about that guy, or are you going to focus on settling my life back?" he whispered in her ear.Becky sneered, she looked up at James, but she didn't say anything. It sucks! A relationship with someone who didn't love her back hurt her so much! She couldn't imagine living years with
Too ShockedThey stared at each other in silence, then the images of what they did a long time ago swirled in Becky's head as James buried his face between her thighs. She could remember everything clearly, all his sighs, touch, kisses..."Rebecca?!""Hey, Rebecca Beckett!" James waved his hand in front of her face and brought her to her senses. She hurriedly pulled herself away from him and cleared her throat nervously."Are you thinking something dirty? Why is your face red like that?" he teased with laughter.Becky's face turned even redder, "You're so annoying!" she snapped, stomping her feet and then walking fast, leaving the kitchen. James held back his laugh and followed her behind. They stood next to each other without speaking. Becky kept cursing herself for being unable to forget everything that had happened. She even felt something warm between her thighs. Gosh! What a shame!"Rebecca, wait!" yelled James running after her. "Arrgh!" suddenly, he stopped, holding his head in
"I know, you don't need to remind me," said Becky curtly. She turned her face to the window, secretly smiling because she missed James so much. It's just that she didn't want to show her longing for him. One-sided love was tough...James's penthouse was on the 100th floor of a luxury apartment building in Manhattan, New York.A driver opened the car door for her while James waited impatiently beside her. "This way," the bodyguard said, showing her the way to the private elevator that would take them to the 100th floor. She didn't say anything at all and was still trying to digest it all. She tried to fix her life and focus on her siblings, but James's appearance changed everything. She didn't know what would happen after that...James scanned his eyes at a small box located near the entrance. Soon after, the door was wide open. "Come on," he said as he stepped back and invited Becky to enter first."How did you know about that? I mean, how do you know how to enter this room?" she aske
