SILAS

She refused to speak to me. The entire drive was spent in silence, with her staring out the window. It wasn't an awkward silence but it was a silence I wished to eliminate nonetheless. I ended up taking out my frustration on the steering wheel; gripping it with all my might. If I didn't let lose soon, it would probably snap under the pressure.

I followed Gino who had my sister and Xander with him in his jeep. There was a part of me that was beginning to warm up to the kid. He knew that Grace and I needed to talk things out so he made sure to remove my Beta from the equation. Kind of felt like I owed him one now.

Grace began humming along to a song on playing in the car. At first, I didn't recognize the song but as the chorus hit, I realized that it was Unstoppable by Sia. The song suited Grace. She truly was unstoppable. Through all the bad shit that seemed to happen to her, she still found a

I was thinking maybe it's Carter and that he faked his death or he got a serious head injury that caused him to lose his memory. Then maybe Lana found him since she's a rogue they stayed together. Then again if he was Carter wouldn't Gino recognize him! He is his brother! Hope they solve this mystery

why when describing Darius he sounds a little like Grace's dead husband. The crooked nose and scar? but then again that was 8 years he died so he wouldn't be exacting revenge or faking his death after waiting so long for a mate. Great story having us guessing.

***TRIGGER WARNING: Expicit sexual content ahead. Carry on at own risk.GRACE We arrived home a little past midnight. Silas got out of the SUV, slammed the door shut, and made his way into the house with me following silently behind. Being an alpha, his jealousy was something that exceeded most wolves. It was in his nature to fight and protect what he claimed as his; that, unfortunately, included me.But what I did had to be done. I learnt that Darius was far smarter than he looked and very much so cunning. He had a mask of ignorance placed on his face the entire night, even when he attempted to flirt with me and get me to ride with him. If I got onto that motorcycle, I knew I wouldn't have seen the finish line. He would, probably, abducted me the way he had done Monica or just attempted to kill me on the spot, to hell with the consequences.Darius' words played in my head on repeat.

GRACEI awoke feeling way too hot than I should have. Reluctantly peeling my eyes open, everything seemed to be a blur. Blinking a few times allowed my eyes to focus. I found half of Silas' body sprawled on top of me, smothering me. The bright rays of sunlight that poured into the room from the floor to sealing window gave me no reprieve from the heat — matter of fact, it made it much worse.Silas was still in a deep sleep, soft purr like snores leaving his plush lips. His chocolate strands spilled over his forehead, obscuring his eyes. A small smile formed on my face as I watched him sleep. He looked so at ease, the most peaceful I had ever seen him. Stubble coated his face, poking into the soft skin of my chest. His position looked very uncomfortable but it gave me a wonderful view.My eyes traced the valley of muscles on his back, the tanned skin teasing me. I paused when I caught the sight of his

GRACETraining this morning was canceled. My body held bluish-purple bruises and there was a discomfort between my legs. Silas felt bad after seeing the damage he had done but I assured him that I was perfectly fine. By midday I would have been fully healed. It wasn't as if I hadn't enjoyed what happened between us last night. Being with him was exhilarating. After we had a shower and he made breakfast for us, we waited for Xander. Silas grew distant, putting up a mental block so I couldn't intrude on his thoughts or speak to him via the mind link. I already knew why he was giving me the cold shoulder. He didn't believe me when I said I was okay. He regretted being so rough and didn't believe me when I said I actually enjoyed it.We were sitting in his office, him behind his desk and me curled up on a couch reading one of the many books that sat on his shelves. He had gotten a new desk after the last time

GRACE Sydney nodded her head vigorously before skipping away with her bucket and spades to build that sand castle. The smirk on Silas' face morphed into a cheesy grin. Rays of sunlight bounced of his white teeth and for a second, he almost looked like an anime character with twinkling teeth. He started with lathering sun screen on my arms. His rough hands had a soft touch to them as they caressed my skin. He then moved to my stomach, purposely running a finger down to the hem of my shorts. A moan threatened to leave my lips to which I covered up with a cough.Silas bit back a laugh by gnawing at his bottom lip, "Turn," he said, gesturing for me to do so by circling his index finger in the air.I turned so that my back faced him and my eyes were watching Sydney play in the sand. She had already constructed three castles and was now creating what I assumed was a wall around them. I ad

GRACEEverything fell back into routine this morning. I woke up at the crack of dawn and got myself ready for training. Silas had walked me over to the pack house, except this time he didn't stick around for training. He headed inside to his office to complete pack business and investigate the murders further. After Monica had been taken, the murders had stopped. The person, be it Darius or someone else, didn't feel the need to send me messages anymore by leaving dead bodies. Their point was coming across loud and clear with them having my best friend in captivity. However, I wasn't sure what they wanted from me anymore. I couldn't leave Silas, not with the mate bond finally being complete. Even if I did leave him, it would shatter both of us and I wasn't willing to put his life at risk. He was the only parent to a brilliant and gorgeous little girl who needed him.I decided to file those thoughts for late

  • P.S. You're My Mate   Chapter 39

MONICAI had never given much thought to how I would die. Living in the moment was something I did best. From a young age, that had always been the way I lived my life. When my parents died, I only enforced that principal further. Life was too short to be regretting stupid shit.I lived for the adrenaline, for the danger, for the thrill that came with the concept of life itself. Trust never came easy, but really, trust never came easy to anyone. I was just one of those people who chose to ignore the sketchy signs because living my life with no rules and restrictions meant so much to me. The only person's command I would ever obey was my Alpha's and that was only because I had to submit. Going against him would force me to live a life as a rogue and rogues didn't fare well.Regrets! I thought I lived my life with no regrets but sitting in the small six by four cell, hands cuffed above my head with silver cuffs

GRACEMy stupor broke and I instantly scrambled to my feet, pacing across the living room. It was Calvin. Calvin was the mole. He was the only one I baited with Xander's name. I vaguely remember seeing his face the day I ran away and Silas came after me. He was one of the guards that flanked Silas' side. His scent was there. But he was under an alpha command not to tell anyone that they had found me. Wolves generally couldn't break a command given by an alpha, even rogues had submissive wolves. My head hurt thinking so hard about it. It was him. That was all that mattered at the moment. He was the on watching me, making certain I wouldn't make any wrong moves. The man in the video had told me to wait for further instructions but he had never said to keep the information to myself. I opened a mind link with Silas for the third time, my voice coming out more frantic than I expected, "It worked. I know wh

GRACE"What?" I shrieked, my eyes drifting from Anne to Xander and then back to Anne. The surprise on my face soon morphed into anger; at who that anger was directed to, I was uncertain, "And you both chose to keep this from Silas? Do you not think he deserves to know the truth? It's like this whole pack lacks trust.""He does deserve to know," Anne spoke in a soothing motherly voice, taking a step toward me, "but he's hot-headed and will not react rationally to the news.""He thinks his mate deserted him and their child. He despises her and in reality, he shouldn't," I snarled, taking a step back to keep a space between us, "Might I also add, if you shared this information with us at the very beginning, a big chunk of what happened wouldn't have taken place. Those girls lost their lives because you kept vital information to yourself," anger rolled off me in waves, filling the room to the point I couldn't

GRACE Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe... The room door opened, revealing Monica and Lana. They were the last to arrive but at least the were both fully dressed. I couldn't bring myself to frown at them because they looked absolutely adorable together. Two years had passed since the incident and they had moved on, creating a wonderful life for themselves. Monica was allowed to remain in the pack she called home from birth and I was grateful to Alpha Rykes for that. Cassidy, Diana (my elder sister), and Jasmine (Silas' sister) had been here since morning trying to help me out. Anne would drop in now and then but she mostly remained downstairs to help cater the guests. Anne and I had a rocky start when we met two years ago but we were navigating around our relationship quiet well now. We both shared a love for Silas, Sydney, and our newest addition, Sylvain who just turned three month

SILAS"How the fuck does someone burn toast?" I chastised, grumbling in announce as I bounced the black, hard bread in my hand and then flung it into the sink."Daddy," my seven year old shot me a glare as she chided, "Bad word, and you burnt the toast because you were too busy trying not to burn the bacon," she snickered, sitting on the bar stool and watching me with amusement lighting up her eyes. She was growing up to be such a beautiful young girl."I'm usually not such a bad cook," I pointed out in a hushed tone, making certain not to wake my sleeping mate up.It was now a little over a year since I met Grace and we were going strong. The pack respected her as their Luna, looked up to her and protected her in the same way she protected them. They warmed up to her quickly and I could see how that made her breathe much easier. She stepped into the Luna role and managed to fulfil each and ev

SILASHave you ever loved someone so much that it felt as if you would suffocate without them? Placed all your trust in them to have it broken as if it were some cheap brand of glass that could be bought in an ordinary store? Did someone ever give you the most precious gift anyone could ever pray for and then attempt to take away one of your other prized possessions all at once? Have you ever experienced true love, love with no boundaries, love with no strings, love that was limitless, love that could span across the age of time? And finally, have you experienced loss? A loss that could shatter the heart into pieces that didn't make sense anymore, love that robbed you of the smile that once graced your face, loss that demolished all the hope stirring in your body, a loss that completely and utterly guttered you?I fell in love with Grace the same way she fell in love with me but I still felt conflicted. No longer did I sympa

GRACE"So, what's it like being around so many werewolves?" Monica asked Ambrosia. We were sat in the living room of the pack house. After last night, I hadn't seen Silas. He arrived home late and left before I could wake. I knew the whole situation with Lucille bothered him. No matter how angry she could possibly make him, killing her would never cross his mind. I guess that was the price he had to pay since he still had feelings for her — even if the feelings weren't as strong as what he felt for me. I accepted that he probably wouldn't stop loving the mother of his child completely because I knew I wouldn't stop loving my ex-mate completely. A part of Carter lived within me.It made me feel better that Ambrosia and Tiana hadn't seen their mates either. They were probably with Silas. This morning Tiana decided to drag me to the pack house so she and Ambrosia could get to know me. Cassidy and Gino h

  • P.S. You're My Mate   Chapter 50

GRACESilas ushered me toward the stage, helping me up the steep steps so I wouldn't tumble down them. He positioned us in the middle, facing the massive crowd of onlookers. My social anxiety decided it would make itself known. I had never been in front of such a massive crowd before. I had never experienced having every single pair of eyes in a room on me before. Some looked at me with hope shining in their eyes, others with confusion riddling their features, and some looked between Lucille who stood at one corner and then at me with anger. They still believed that I was running after a mated wolf. A home-wrecker.Lucille's face contorted in anger, Sydney in her arms. They were inseparable from the moment they met and where Sydney went, Victor would follow. That calmed my raging emotions. Having Victor close to Sydney meant that if anything happened, he could deal with it. Silas was onto something when he decided to issue

  • P.S. You're My Mate   Chapter 49

GRACEI had gotten Sydney dressed in a beautiful royal blue ball gown. The entire dress shimmered when rays of light bounced of it, giving her an ethereal glow. She resembled a princess, a little silver crown sitting on her head full of luscious light brown curls. The radiant smile that graced her face had my heart swelling in my chest. I loved this little girl more than I loved life itself. It wasn't difficult to fall in love with someone as innocent and bubbly as her. When we were done, I made my way downstairs with her on my hip. I didn't care that she was creasing the delicate material of my dress or that my make-up would potentially smudge thanks to the shower of kisses Sydney pressed against my cheeks. Once Lucille got here I knew I had to let Sydney go and the thought alone was difficult for me to deal with. My stomach churned in anticipation of what would happen and deep down — an instinct I was trying my best to ign

GRACEI didn't expect the Luna ceremony to be so soon after my return but I guess we pushed it back for as long as we could. We needed to get it done and over with so I could officially take my place in the pack but I couldn't help but wonder what that meant for me. Being a Luna of a pack — even if it were the largest pack known — was something I could deal with. The idea of it had just began settling itself into my brain when the truth was unleashed. Now, completing the ceremony didn't only mean I would be ruling over one pack alongside my mate but every pack ever created under the moon. The Luna of Luna's, did I even deserve such a title? For the past couple of years my faith in the Moon Goddess swayed. I had questions that only she could answer and no way of getting those answers from her. So much bad had happened that I couldn't imagine a sliver of good seeping through to make itse

  • P.S. You're My Mate   Chapter 47

GRACEBy the time I had woken up half the day had already gone by. The spot beside me where Silas usually slept was both empty and cold — signifying he had left long ago and left me to sleep in. Sticking to his usual self, there was a pink sticky note stuck onto the lampshade on my bedside table. The bright color caught my eyes almost instantly as the the midday sun reflected off it. I grabbed the note and read the words written in his immaculate handwriting.'Had some work to take care off. Made you something to eat and kept it downstairs. Silas.'Leaving the bed, I leisurely strolled into the walk-in closet and sifted through Silas' shirts. I found a slate-gray graphic tee with a hammer on it and the words 'This is not a drill' printed beside it. I snickered at the use of the bad pun but decided to adorn the shirt nonetheless because his scent was strongest on tha

  • P.S. You're My Mate   Chapter 46

GRACEAfter killing Darius, all hell broke loose. I left the room, stumbling into two guards that I guessed patrolled the halls. I managed to kill one of them but in that time, the second guard somehow informed everyone else through a walkie-talkie. That left me little time to find Monica and get the hell out of here.I continued straight down the corridor until I reached another room with a metal door. The door was ajar, the two men that had escorted Monica struggling to subdue her and stick her into a cell. As much as Monica thought she was broken, this moment proved she still had plenty fight in her.A feral snarl that left my mouth caught the two men off guard. Monica used that to her advantage, claws extending from her fingers and slashing one of the men's throats. Blood sprayed from the wound, the man bringing his hands up to his neck in shock as he fell to the ground.I lunged
