Ugh, twice in one night? What are the odds?

“Look at you, stepsister,” she says with a smirk on her face as she licks her lips “Such a surprise”

“I'm surprised you know who I am,” I answer as I watch her squarely.

“Oh, I keep track of my family.” She watches me with a cruel smile on her lips.

“Uh-huh.” I'm sure she does; she looks like she came here to scare me, which won't work.

“Well, look at you, big sister,” she said, her tone mocking.

“Beautiful, aren't I?” I say airily. I might as well go with the flow.

She ignores it. “I didn't think I'd see you here.”

“And why is that?” I ask as I lean back on the sink. “Why?”

“You just didn't fit the description of people who should be here. Despite your, uh, not so fancy clothes,” She looks at me with disdain, “Did you borrow this?” She taps her chin. “Maybe there's a price tag at the back.”

“You're running out of options, darling,” I taunt, “or perhaps it's not the clothes or shoes that fit the description.” Her blue eyes narrowed.
