Hearing his voice from behind, Cali remained glued in her place, too engrossed in thinking about the reason that could have brought him in here. He was taking slow and predatory steps towards them. His eyes were set on the man who had his hands and lips on his wife just a moment ago, all the while.
His blood was boiling due to the jealousy coursing through his veins. As soon as he reached near them, he pulled his wife flush towards his chest, tugging her by her waist. And her mind went blank at his behaviour. What was his problem? She was failing to understand. If she meant nothing to him, then what was the point of being so possessive? His hand was snaked around her waist as his grip tightened, not hard enough to cause her pain though. Her cheeks were covered with a shade of crimson red, due to both embarrassment and anger. Who was he to behave like this with her brother? With that thought, she started struggling to get out of his hold, only to be held more firmly by him."Who the hell are you? And how do you know my wife?" He asked in a quite intimidating manner. His nostrils were flaring as he tried to control himself from punching that man square in his face.Horace frowned at him but then as he realized something, he held both of his hands up as if he was surrendering infront of him and said, "Woah..woah man (Chuckling softly). Relax. I am not going to rob her away from you. She is all yours. After all, she is your wife. Anyways, hi! I am Horace." He said extending his hand for him to shake. But Cain was after all Cain, he dismissed him only by a curt nod. Embarrassed, Horace retracted his hand, nodding back at him. He was well aware of the attitude of such typical rich men. But he was no less. He knew how to counter them. However, he was quite impressed by this man infront of him. His protectiveness and possessiveness showed how much she meant for him.He looked at Cali who was throwing an apologetic look at him. But he just shrugged and winked at her. And she knew that something mischievous was cooking inside his evil mind.Cain, who was looking intently at him all the while, saw him winking at her and misinterpreted it, thinking that he was flirting with his wife and that too, infront of him. He felt agitated."You didn't tell me. How do you know my wife?" He asked stressing more on the phrase 'my wife'. Cali noticed how his eyes shone with a mischievous glint as he looked at Cain and said, "We, Mr. Cain, were childhood sweethearts." Hearing this, Cali's eyes went wide as she stared at Horace like she could not believe what he just said to him. And he, on the other hand, was just smiling innocently at his own mischief. But it took every fibre in Cain not to smash his face as those words came out of his mouth. Though he controlled himself as they had a whole audience there, he did not want to create a scene there. So, he refrained himself, much to his dismay. "I am sorry to say, Mr...?" He trailed off."Horace, Mr. Cain." He smiled at him teasingly. He was really enjoying his possessive side. "Yeah. Whatever." He replied curtly. "I am so sorry to say this to you Mr. Horace but your childhood sweetheart is now my beloved wife." Cali's little heart skipped a beat at this. She could not believe her ears. Was she day dreaming? It was just some time ago that he told her, she did not mean anything to him. And now, now what? He was openly claiming her as his wife. Was this man bipolar or something?"Oh, I know Mr. Cain. But the thing is, does she love you?" A vein popped out on his forehead and the muscle of his jaw ticked. As Horace was busy with his innocent teasing, he did not notice the change in his demeanor. Cali, too, grew tensed beside him. Since Horace was unaware of what kind of relationship they had in real, he found it amusing to tease him.But Cain had already enough of it. He could not take it anymore."That is none of your bloody concern. And why do you think she would not love me? She is my wife. Ofcourse she loves me." He said gnashing his teeth. Cali, on the other hand, was shocked to hear his confession. No, not his confession though, her confession but out of his mouth. And she would never allow him to do that.Ofcourse, she had this warm feeling for him growing in her heart which he himself put ice cold water on. But what was wrong with him now? What had changed as of now. Even if she had any feeling for him, she would never say that to him because he would not for sure, reciprocate those feelings. And it would only break her little heart more than it was breaking already. But for now, she had to do something to make thissituation under control. So, she somehow managed to slip out of his hold and as he was fuming by now, he did not notice that. She went near Horace and seeing her getting this near to that man did nothing but only aggravated his anger and...jealousy.Cali brought herself near his ear and said, "Listen Ace, please can we meet some other day? I...I have to go now. Okay?""Yeah. Ofcourse we can. I will be staying here for two days. So, I guess we can meet again before I leave. Take care." He said smirking at his way, loud enough for him to hear and walked away. And Cain just clenched his fists as he looked at the both of them. Cali then came near him and stood before him."Are you coming home tonight?" She asked softly. But Cainonly shook his head negatively. And her heart fell at that even if she was expecting this response from him. "I am not going home tonight because we are going home right now." With that being said, he held her arm and started dragging her towards his expensive metallic navy blue sedan. When they reached home, he again dragged her towards their bedroom. She had no idea what was going on in his mind but the fact that he was finally home after almost ten days, made her feel something that even she could not define. After that night, they had never seen each other till today, let alone be in the same bedroom. He made her sit at the edge of their bed and himself stood infront of her near the nightstand. He put his watch on the nightstand. And started removing his tie and asked hermockingly, "So, he was your childhood sweetheart, huh?" She did not answer. Why would she? After all, she was not liable to answer any of his questions."What were you two doing there? Catching up, like some long lost sweethearts?" He let out a chuckle, a not so amused chuckle."Yes, we were. We were actually enjoying our time there until you showed up and decided to interrupt and ruin our sweet time together." She said bitterly as she could not control her smart-ass mouth this time. And quickly regretted it when she noticed how his expression changed but that quickly vanished as he asked her again, "So, are you going to visit him again?" This time, his tone was drop dead serious."Ofcourse, I will. And tomorrow itself." She said even if her sensible mind was screaming at her not to mess with the wounded animal infront of her. And that was it. That was all it took for all his barriers of control to be snapped and in an instant, she found herself pinned against the bed under him. Her hands were held by one of his above her head and her smart-ass mouth was claimed by his dominant one.She was in a daze. With her eyes wide open, she tried to comprehend that her husband, who shunned her in the morning, was now on top of her, with his lips pressed against hers. She started wriggling under him when she realized what he was trying to do. He was just like this when he was drunk and came home that night when they had an amazing sleep in each other's arms after they...she snapped out of her dreamland when she felt his lips on her throat, peppering feathery kisses. She pushed him away with all her might and he stumbled back, and on to the floor. He was shocked by the sudden rejection of Cali. In no time, his eyes darkened both with lust and anger. He wanted her but he could not understand why she was resisting him. It was clear as day that she also wanted him. Then why would she resist him? The last time she enjoyed it just as much as he did. What had changed now? Then suddenly, the thought of that man back at the restaurant came running to his mind. And he clenched his fist
The room was dimly illuminated by the morning sun rays that were filtering through the curtains of the windows. There, on the bed, were the couple sleeping. Their legs were tangled with each other and his arms were securely wrapped around her small frame. After some time, he started stirring from his peaceful slumber. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the clock to see it was seven in the morning. He sighed and then his gaze fell on the beauty sleeping next to him. He propped on his left elbow and started taking in her features. Her face was beautiful and serene, her pink plump lips that were parted slightly and were inviting him. So, he leaned in and placed a feather light kiss on them. A cute little frown was formed on her forehead due to the slight disturbance in her slumber. And he smiled at that. She was too cute for her own good. His gaze then fell onto the duvet that was barely covering his wife's chest, showcasing a large amount of the perky skin beneath it. And he licked his lip
When he came out of the bathroom, he saw that she was still laying on the bed, with the duvet still barely covering her body. When her eyes fell on him, her already red cheeks flushed some more. She stood up, holding the sheet tightly around her naked body and hurriedly walked passed him going towards the bathroom. He released a laugh looking at her flushed state. She was acting so shy infront of him. "Why so shy now, little amuse? You were so bold last night. And it is not like I have not seen any of this before. So, no need of hiding that delicious body from my sight." He said smirking victoriously when she literally ran into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. He could not stop himself from laughing out loud at her cute antics. After taking a quick shower, she got out of the bathroomwearing a bathrobe. She went inside the walk in closet and her eyes fell on her handsome husband who was wearing a casual black tee shirt and grey sweatpants and was now combing his hair. She f
She slid down the door after securing it with the lock. Her tears were flowing freely. She was feeling vulnerable. She had thought that he was different from his family members but he was just the same. She once again realized that no one in this world can love a poor and orphan person. Then how could she expect him to love her? She should not have. It was her mistake."Cali, please. I did not mean anything like that. Please open the door, give me a chance to speak. Please." He was softly knocking on the door as he knew that she was leaning against it. He could hear her muffled sobbing. He was really guilty. He did not want to yell at her but it was just the jealousy, yes, it was jealousy. He was jealous. She was his wife. How could he let her go to meet another man?She did not respond nor did she open door. Only the sound of silent crying was heard. Now, he was feeling super guilty. He did not want her to cry. He wanted to comfort her. He wanted to say sorry to her. But he could do t
A delicious shiver ran down her whole body at his possessive confession. She had never thought that he would claim her as his one day, and now that he did, she could not help but blush furiously. The memories of last night came into her mind vividly when he claimed her as his over and over again. He was looking at her amusingly. Last night she was so bold and now his simple confession had her cheeks painted all red as she was avoiding eye contact with him. She was feeling shy. He chuckled lightly, shaking his head. She never failed to amuse him. He still could not believe that this mixture of boldness and shyness, whom he called his wife, was all his and his only. "He is not whom you think he is. Ace is like my brother. We grew up in the same orphanage and we have quite a good bond. And do not take his words so seriously. He is just like that. Always teasing anyone and everyone." She said while chuckling at the last part. He looked at her surprised. "He is like your brother?" He ask
She laughed at herself remembering how she had misunderstood him at first. She always treated him badly because of her misunderstanding. Like throwing a glass of water at his face in one of those charity events when she met him for the first time after seeing him that day, talking rudely and arrogantly with him and once she even stomped on his foot angrily when he tried to approach her again like he always did. It was just the day before she joined the 'CH Advertising and Design' company as an intern graphic designer. How wrong she was about this man of hers. He truly loved animals just as much as she did. After getting married to him, when she found that that cute puppy was none other than Diesel, she confronted him about it. He then told her that he had found him on the road, abandoned and hungry. The cute little puppy came onto his feet, licking him which quite startled him and he ended up kicking him out of instincts. After realizing that he felt guilty and took the little puppy ho
The middle aged man stood there, dumbfounded. His eyes shone with moisture as he reminisced her face from just a moment ago. It was the same face, the very same face that he used to adore and care so much for and was regretting till now not being able to see her again for one last time. The very same face that he was dying to see again in real and not in his sweet but painful dreams only. The very same face that belonged to her. His beloved little sister. But how could it be? Same face, same nose, same lips, and even same eyes except her black hair. How could it be possible? Could it be...He needed to inform him about this. With that thought, he moved towards his office. * * *The harsh air slapped her face as her palms were getting clammy. She was on the verge of experiencing a heart attack. And she clutched her husband like her life was dependent on him, and it was actually, at that moment. "Will you slow the fuck down?" She shouted in her husband's ear, finally catching his atten
They just got home and Cain went inside the washroom to freshen up while Cali went straight to the kitchen to feed herself some delicious chocolate ice cream. It was when she got a call from an unknown number. She frowned as she settled herself on the couch in the living room holding the tub full of ice cream in her hands. She was contemplating if she should pick up the call or not. At last, she picked it up. "Hello, Cali Ruth here. Who is this?" She asked politely. "Hello, Ms. Ruth. This is Scott from the Russells' group of company." Mr. Scott said from the other end. "Oh! Hello, Mr. Scott. I apologize. I did not recognize your voice." She replied. "It is alright, Ms. Ruth. I was just told to inform you that our boss, Mr. Russells, would like to have a meeting with you." He said and Cali's heart raced at that."What for, Mr. Scott. As far as I know, our meeting was over this afternoon. Then why do we need to go there again?" She asked, tone as polite as ever."Not Mr. Hutton. Our
