A gold digging whore?

When he came out of the bathroom, he saw that she was still laying on the bed, with the duvet still barely covering her body. When her eyes fell on him, her already red cheeks flushed some more. She stood up, holding the sheet tightly around her naked body and hurriedly walked passed him going towards the bathroom.

He released a laugh looking at her flushed state. She was acting so shy infront of him. "Why so shy now, little amuse? You were so bold last night. And it is not like I have not seen any of this before. So, no need of hiding that delicious body from my sight." He said smirking victoriously when she literally ran into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. He could not stop himself from laughing out loud at her cute antics.

After taking a quick shower, she got out of the bathroom

wearing a bathrobe. She went inside the walk in closet and her eyes fell on her handsome husband who was wearing a casual black tee shirt and grey sweatpants and was now combing his hair. She frowned. Why was he wearing casual clothes? Was he not going to the office today? But what about the meeting today?

She started walking towards him but stopped when she realized that she was not wearing her lenses. She went straight away towards her wardrobe and quickly pulled out her office wear and a new pair of her usual lenses. She then dashed into the bathroom again. When she came out, he was sitting on the bed with his laptop. As soon as his eyes fell on her, he frowned. "You were in the closet a moment ago when I was in there, right? I called out your name but you went out." She felt guilty. She did not want to lie to him, but she was miserable. "Sorry,I did not hear you." She said sheepishly. "It is okay. I just wanted to tell you that we are not going to the office today." He said. "Why?" "Because the meeting that was going to be held today is canceled. The assistant manager of the R Industry could not come today. He had called me last evening. But I forgot to tell you."

"Oh, but I cannot just take a leave like that. You are the boss, not me. I am just an employee there. So, I have to go." She said and started getting ready to go to the office.

"Your leave is already sanctioned. You are the boss' wife, darling. You know, perks of being the wife of the CEO." He said with a proud smirk etched on his lips. "Oh really! Hell with you. I never asked you to give me those fucking perks of being your wife."

"Cali" He warned her. Her tongue was getting reckless day by day. "Sorry." She said in a small voice. "But still. I don't want any of those perks, you know. So, I am going to the office." She said.

"But we are going to the family gathering today." He said and she halted in her track. "What family gathering?" She asked, utterly confused.

"Oh, my bad. I forgot to tell you about this as well." "Ofcourse, you would. After all, you were busy playing the possessive husband role yesterday." She said sarcastically. "It was not a role play, Cali." He said, tone laced with seriousness. "So, you agree that you are

possessive?" She asked, teasing him.

"Ofcourse, what is mine...is mine." Again, he said that in the same tone. Her teasing smile turned into that of a nervous one. What was he implying? Was she his? A blush crept up to her neck and she avoided his eye contact. He seemed to have noticed that. A smirk was spread across his lips. "So, now back to the topic. We are going to the family gathering that is going to be held in the mansion. Dad had called me yesterday morning to inform about this gathering but I denied him thinking that we would be at the meeting. But since there is no more meeting going to

be held, I accepted his invite. So, we are going there at

twelve in the afternoon." He said.

This made her feel a bit queasy all of a sudden. She did not wish to see her father-in-law, Mr. Cairan Hutton, anytime soon. His was one hell of a man to deal with. She clearly remembered their first meeting. He was behaving all sweet with her infront of Cain but once he was out of sight, he showed his true color to her. First, he taunted her for being an orphan as if it was her fault that she was an orphan, but anyway, it hurt. Then, he accused her, literally accused her of being a gold digger saying that she tricked his son into marrying her. But the fact was, it was Cain who made a deal with her and forced her to get married to him. He said that he wanted to get his revenge for the multiple times she insulted him by shackling her into this marriage.

She sighed. She did not wish for any more drama in her life. So, she decided that she would not go to that gathering at all.

She picked her hand bag and started proceeding towards

the door. "Where are you going?" He asked.

"I am not going to the gathering, Cain. I have work in the

office to get over with. And besides, I have to meet Ace before he leaves." She explained calmly, praying silently

that he would agree. "Who is Ace?" He frowned.

"Oh, it is Horace I am talking about. He is going to leave

tomorrow. So, I thought of meeting him today." She turned

around and started walking out.

A calloused hand grabbed her wrist and tugged her backwards. And she stumbled upon her husband's hard chest due to the effect.

His face was formed into a scowl, expression hard and his eyes were glaring sharp daggers into her. She frowned looking at his deep scowl.

"Where do you think you are going?" He asked in a deep, displeased tone. Clearly, he was vexed. The mention of that man's name from her mouth, irked him. After giving her all his love to her all night long, she was again talking about visiting that Horace. What was so special about him anyway? He was not even handsome. Maybe he was rich? But more than him? No way. Then why the hell his wife wanted to visit him again?

"I told you not even a minute ago right? That I am going to the office." She was clueless that her husband was jealous about her going to meet Horace because for her, he was like her brother. She did not see anything wrong by meeting her brother. But she was unaware that her husband had misunderstood her relation with Horace.

"Not that-" He was about to tell something but she cut him off. "Then what? What do you want to say? Huh? You cannot

behave like this always, Cain. This is my life. So, I have the right to decide for my life. And I am not going to that gathering." She said, her voice came out firm and vexed. She was vexed because she did not wish to go to that family gathering at all where everyone would just mock her for being an orphan and coming from a poor background. And she did not want any of this. So, she just would not go there. But her dominant husband did not seem to understand her dilemma.

"Did I ask you?" He asked, tone dangerously low. She did not open her mouth. She knew that this was the calm before the storm. "Tell me, did I ask you?" Again he asked in the same tone.

"Wh-" She was cut short by his booming voice.

"Why are you so desperate to go to office?" He yelled at her face, making her flinch.

"Tell me, why? Is it because of that lover boy of yours whom you are going to meet today, again?" He said, stressing every word while speaking.

At first, she was confused. But then when she realized what

he was talking about, she was shocked.

"And that too, behind my back?" He yelled again. This time, the corner of her eyes got filled with water. So this was what he thought of her. A gold digging whore, who would relish her husband's money but would cheat him, right? But she was neither of them. She was neither a gold digger nor a cheating whore. In fact, if anyone should be honored with such a title, it was him. He was a man whore. Even after their marriage, he bedded Jasmine, not caring about his wife. Though she admitted that she was being reluctant to become his wife, that does not mean that he would go to any other girl and would sleep with her.

Now, her tears started flowing down her cheeks. Seeing her crying, brought him back from whichever trance he was in. He now realized that he had just yelled at her. His grip on her loosened and he felt guilty. "I am-"

"So this is what you think about me?" She said which came out as a mere whisper. She was becoming vulnerable once again.

"Cali-"

"Don't. Just don't." She did not let him say anything and dashed out of the door, without looking back. "Cali. Stop!" He was running behind her but she went out of the door and locked it behind her.
