SARAH POV

I sat on the cold, unforgiving floor of my prison cell, knees pulled tightly to my chest. My thin prison uniform did little to shield me from the chill that seeped up through the concrete, but I barely noticed.

My mind was a chaos of thoughts, all circling back to that moment, replaying it endlessly.

I had been so close. The knife had felt heavy in my hand, a reassuring weight, as I had approached Jenna.
