Chapter 71

As the doctor slowly opened the door, hoping it shouldn’t be Mira but his wishes finally came through. It was Kian, his gaze on his mother as he entered the room.

“Oh kian...” Martha said her voice as she looked behind Kian hoping to see Mira but she didnt see her.

“Where you expecting someone?” Kian asked his voice deep and husky.

Martha shooked her head" Oh never mind, I wasnt just expecting you to be here right now” Martha said .

Just as the doctor thought he was trapped, Kian's sudden intervention caught him off guard. Kian's gaze locked onto the doctor, his voice firm and commanding. "Thank you for your hard work, Doctor. I will have one of my boys drive you home."

The doctor's eyes widened in surprise as Kian's words hung in the air. He felt a surge of hope, wondering if he might escape Martha's clutches after all.

Kian's gaze shifted back to Martha, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You are good now?" he asked, his tone firm but controlled.

Martha nodded, her eyes flashing with an
