Chapter 78

VIVIAN POV

I stood still, watching Mira leave, and then suddenly felt my legs give way beneath me. I collapsed to the ground, my vision blurring.

The guards were running helter-skelter, shouting and trying to rush to my side. Kian burst out of the room, his face etched with worry.

"Call a doctor!" he yelled at the guards. "Now!"

I tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me back down. Louis rushed to my side, concern etched on her face.

But I gazed up at her, trying to convey a message. Don't let the doctor come, I pleaded silently.

Louis gazed back at me, her eyes understanding. But she just murmured, "It's too late."

Kian walked by my side after calling the doctor, holding my hand and patting my back. "I'm fine, Kian," I whispered, my voice barely above a whisper. "The doctor doesn't need to stress himself."

But Kian was having none of it. "No, no, you've been looking very pale these days," he said, his voice filled with worry. "The doctor should check on you
