I take a huge sigh as I watch my beta throw Rain over his shoulder, carrying her out of the alley. Rain being stubborn, kicks and thrashes, demanding to be let down. Lester, however, doesn't yield to her antics. He obeys my orders.

With them gone, I head back inside to tackle the business we came here for. I still drool with excitement over the search we are about to do at the manor.

I need to find the moonstone. I know my father will be infinitely proud of me wherever he is, knowing I'm doing what's right.
