Rosette's POV

"So what are we watching?" I asked, taking my seat on the couch.

"What do you want to watch? You can pick any movie of your choice" Damon added.

"Are you going to watch any movie I pick?" I couldn't help but ask again, just to be sure.

"Most definitely, so what's your choice going to be?" Damon threw back at me.

"Okay," I said softly, picking up the remote as I scrolled through the available movies, before settling for a drama series.

"Sure about this?" I asked Damon again.

"Yeah. College romance I see" Damon pointed out as the series started to play.

"Yes, I have been seeing the trailers all over the net for the past two weeks now" I answered, adjusting myself on the couch as I covered my legs with the blanket.

"Seems interesting," Damon said, throwing his arm over my shoulders so casually.

I stilled for a second, and then I turned to look at Damon but his eyes were glued to the screen. Without saying a word, I leaned into his embrace.

Damon's POVWas I being selfish? Not at all.All I'm trying to do is play it safe with Rose, so at the end of all this, she might be saved. But I had no assurance that I would be.None at all.Right now, she claims she doesn't have any feelings for Caleb, but who knows? Along the long run she might and then she will be able to get over this thing with me.What lies we tell ourselves."I seriously want to get my body back into shape, and I don't necessarily have to work out with you, there is a gym down the street, I could enroll there" Rose chipped in."Oh really? But that would be a waste of money you know right? We have all the equipment here at home and a capable coach," I said, tapping her nose lightly."Okay then, if you say so, I guess you are right," Rose added, trying to contain her laughter but then she failed miserably at it.We both broke out in laughter, I was laughing so hard that tears spilled out of my eyes. That was how content and free I felt with Rose, whenever she

Rosette's POV.I woke up this morning, feeling blissful and lighter. I cannot remember the last time I woke up with a smile on my face and nothing but pure happiness, coursing through my veins.A small yawn escaped my lips as I stretched lightly on the bed. Memories from last night flooded my brain instantly and if possible, my smile grew even wider.Urgh...Why did I fall asleep during the movie? I rubbed my temples in a circular motion while trying to imagine how lovely Damon carried me into my room.I didn't need a mirror to see how red I was at the moment but I had to snap out of my thoughts immediately my phone beeped."Fuck no" I groaned on seeing the reminder on my phone. It was already noon!.I had totally forgotten about today and the date with Caleb and the concert with Diego which unfortunately I will not be attending.Plus, I haven't even informed my mother yet about my date with Caleb.Immediately I threw my legs out of the bed as I rushed into the bathroom.I washed my

When I asked her to tell me what transpired between her and Damon, she couldn't respond, instead she offered to dress me up and I couldn't decline and so I decided to let it all slide."Mom?" I yelled as my eyes widened at her blunt words. By the way, there is no way I will be having sex with Caleb, it's totally out of question. And my mom? She took it upon herself to get me dressed for this date even though I told her countless times that I could dress up myself, but for some odd reason she felt like it was her duty to do so.She was even more excited than me like she was the one going out on a date.Kara wanted to come over and help me, but with my mom fussing over me, I wouldn't be able to deal with both of them at the same time."I'm just saying, take it as an advice," she added again."So you are giving me the go ahead to let him

Rosette's POV.Just how unfortunate can one be?Tell me why, the fancy restaurant Caleb brought me to, happens to be the same one, Damon brought me to for my birthday dinner.I tried to hide my nervousness and how uncomfortable I felt as we settled down in the booth Caleb reserved. My eyes hovered around, taking in the entire decor of the place until they landed on the table Damon and I sat on the other day and I couldn't look away. There was a young lady and a man on the table and the man was giggling at something the lady was saying, watching them reminded me of how uncomfortable I made Damon feel throughout the dinner and unknowingly, my lips spread into a wide smile."Do you know them or something? You want to go say hi?" Caleb asked, pulling me out of my thoughts."No, I don't know them, it's nothing of that sort" I stuttered."But then you were looking like...""It's a beautiful place, I was just looking around and I got carried away" I quickly covered up."Oh I see, I'm glad yo

I snapped at him."Of course not, I don't even know how it happened but you don't look good to me that's all" Diego added."I'm okay" I muttered, flipping through the files in my hand. I have been on this page for the past one hour and yet I still couldn't make head or tail out of the documents.I sighed for the hundredth time taking a long sip out of the glass of whiskey Diego gave me.Everything was a complete mess, all the documents concerning the concert were a total mess, the manager couldn't even get done with one task before moving to the other.Everything was just so incomplete, just as I felt.I closed the file, while throwing my head back to take a deep breath. What was Rose doing now with Caleb? Rosette's POV."You say what now?" I asked in between laughter as Caleb narrated the funniest memories he had from his childhood.Honestly, I was enjoying myself even more than I thought I would. I had imagined a boring sulking vibe and all but Caleb has been so interesting. After the food, which was absolutely delicious, we had a lot of time left and so we decided to chat over wine. Well actually Caleb did most of the talking. All I did was listen and then throw in my contributions."That's it, you have heard all the embarrassing stories about me, tell me about your childhood? What was it like back there in London?" Caleb questioned raising his glass to his lips.My smile faltered as all the excitement vanished from my face, unlike other kids, I didn't have a normal childhood, and sometimes it makes me feel sad whenever I think about it and other times, I don't."Rose... Lost in your thoughts again?" Caleb called out, pulling me out of my thoughts."I'm sorry...""Okay, tell me about

Rosette’s POV“So, how was your first official date ever?” my mom asked handing me a glass of wine after shooing Caleb away. Pratically, it’s safe to say that she saved me from Caleb’s kiss and I was grateful for that.Pheww.“I’ve been on dates before mom, you make this look like a bigger deal” I threw back at her while taking a long drag of wine.“Emphasis on bigger and you know the reason why, also you shouldn’t consider your previous hangouts as dates, that thing you do with Kara doesnt count” My mother countered.“Seriously?” I retorted, raising my brows, while straining my ears and searching for any indication of Damon’s presence while my mom remained oblivious of this.“Yes, so tell me, you keep deviating from the subject, how absurd” she hissed.“What to tell you mom? You know how dates are and Caleb asked me out officially” I blurted out.“You say what now?” She gasped as her eyes widened.“Dont be a dramatic mom, please!” I begged folding my hands before her.“It's not Rose d

Nothing beats this.I closed the door softly, kicking off my boots as I dropped my keys and hung up my coat on the hanger behind the door.I may or may not have passed out in Diego's suite. And when I woke up again, it was quite late.Diego asked me to stay behind but I couldn't do that, for some weird reason I just wanted to return home, probably because I had a feeling that Rose would be waiting for me.Or not. When I got her messages, the pictures of how she looked for her date, I typed out several messages to reply but I couldn't hit the send button.I wished she had dressed up for me and not her college boyfriendMy eyes adjusted to the darkness, making my way towards the stairs and with that, I was able to locate the room. I didn't want to turn on the lights as it could draw Susan's attention if she was already asleep and she should be.Immediately I pushed the room door open, I was greeted with the smell of scented can

Also, Rowland had this serious expression while driving and I didn't want to distract him.In less than twenty minutes, my house came in view and my heart beat increased tremendously. I tried not to overthink the situation and hoped that my mom was still asleep. The lights were still off, which could mean two things, either good news or not.I hopped off the bike while removing the helmet and then handed it over to Rowland."You don't need to walk me to the house," I said."You didn't even let me offer, can't wait to get rid of me?" I was going to ask who they belong to cause they look so girly to be yours" I added."It should be Rosa or Lisa, I don't know...""What did you just say?" Damon countered, banging his fist on the wall.A small lump grew in my throat as I swallowed hard, I closed my eyes, hiding the tears that threatened to fall and then I took a small step forward.Without knowing what to expect, was he going to push me away or accept me? I couldn't tell.I couldn't read his eyes today, unlike every other day, just by looking at his eyes, I could tell his emotions, I could see whatever he wanted to say but today, Damon put up a wall between us. In his eyes and his heart."Whatever my mom did was wrong, so wrong and I don't support her one bit okay? Rosette POV Just before I could reply, Rowland intervened, he told Caleb how not good an idea that was considering the fact that Damon was sick, my mom won't be comfortable at the dinner and all that.Caleb apologized for how insensitive he was about the issue and I just waved it off.I was so glad that he was present at this moment, because if it was just Caleb and I, I doubt I would have had a way out.I thanked Rowland a million times in my head and my heart that I almost blurted it out but I just held it in. I made a mental note to thank him afterwards. After we were done with our snacks, it was already late and so we went our separate ways, Caleb in his car, Rowland booked a ride and I drove home.*****Immediately I pushed the main door open, I was greeted with total darkness, both from the kitchen and the living room and so I concluded that my mom was also out.I hung my coat by the door side and then placed my key on the tray while turning on the light.Immediately I heard he
