2025-04-14 13:42:31I wasn’t stupid enough to think I could put this off forever, no matter how much I wished that I could. Dominic and Mason must have sensed my reluctance because they kept a firm grip on me as they led me towards the council members who were waiting for us in the dining room.
Once we entered the room most of my nerves were erased. Even though I knew that the men in front of me had some kind of power over us, I couldn’t bring myself to be afraid of four decrepit old men. Not one of them looked as though they could stand up without assistance let alone put up any kind of fight against an Alpha like me.
“We’re really sorry to keep you waiting, we had a little trouble at our border,” Mason said as he held out his hand for the closest council member to shake.
