Aria’s POV
His hands slap me hard on the face and after, he wanted to slam his fist on my cheek but somehow he miss and it landed on the wall behind me, making him whimper in pain and withdraw back. “Ash!” He curse at me. “See what you’ve done.” I remain on the wall, my eyes on him as I couldn’t believe he would raise his hands at me. Since we married, he had always been nice to me, and never have he once acted hostile toward me. But, now. He wanted to punch me in the face. “Babe, are you alright?” Susan calls his name, rushing to touch his fist. She look at his hand and started to blow her air on it. “You bitch! See what you’ve done to my darling husband.” “Darling, husband?” I scoff not believing what my ear was hearing. This must be some kind of dream. How can this be happening? While I’m still alive? “Babe, sorry. She’s a witch. She wants to hurt you.” Susan adds and I just walk up to her ignoring that she was still blowing her breath on Caleb’s wrist and pull her by the hair, dragging her hard as I walk along. “I’m going to deal with you today.” I groan in my voice as I drag her along into the sitting room and throw her away on the floor. She was sent crashing to the ground smashing the table and the cake I had baked for the anniversary. “Argh!” She cry like a child, her forehead folding in pain. Her whole body was already covered by the cake. The candlelights were as well all scattered around the room because of her fall. “What the fuck is wrong with you? You could have almost injured me.” I scream at the top of my voice, “I plan on doing so,” before I raise the wooden chair beside me and send it flying in the air and crashing behind Susan. She bent covering her head. “You crazy bitch!” She rush at me and push me on the chair, making my head to slam backwards. “I’d deal with you.” She say over me but before she could gather her strength, I push her over and stand to my feet, screaming. Caleb walk in and restrict me by the hand. “Enough,” he commands me and my heart arched. How could he? I pull my hand from his in rage and walked back into the kitchen, my hands swiftly pulling out an electric kettle to fill it with water. Caleb meets me in the kitchen and grab hold of my hands again. “What are you doing?” He ask me and I look straight in his my eyes red and my body shaking in rage. “What do you think I’m doing” I reply his question with a question and our eyes just met with no response. “Get your filthy hands off of me,” I ordered but he didn’t listen. “Get your hands off of me!” I push him away and continued to fill the kettle. After, I set it on and wait for it to boil. “Don’t tell me you’re preparing that to pour on her,” Caleb say to me but I remain mute, my hands on my hips as I wait patiently for the water to boil. “You’re sick in the brain.” He say again but I just acted like none of what he said made sense to me. “What’s she doing?” Susan walk up to the kitchen while rubbing her wrist tenderly. “Why’s she standing closer to the kettle?” “She plans on pouring it on us,” Caleb explain and Susan hiss, slowly dusting and licking the cake debris on her blue skirt. “Aria, sis, you’ve got to fucking grow up and let what has happened happen. I and Caleb are in love with each other and you know that.” She continues, “Instead of acting up, why don’t you do us a favor and disappear quietly?” I look at her in rage, thinking I should pick up a knife and slice her throat out. But, I don’t want to turn out to be a murderer. Not now that my life seems to be in a mess. “So when has this been going on? For how long?” I chuckle annoyingly, catching my breath in between. “Not only have you taken my place in my family, you’ve come for my marriage. Have you no shame, Susan?” Instead of a reply to me, Susan just licked her finger and rolled her eyes at me. It piss me that my lips folded. “You’re not even real. You keep wanting to be me and take my spotlight, but you can never replace me or be me.” I mouth, looking at them both as they stood beside each other. “You’re not even of my family’s blood. You’d forever remain a stand-in replacement for me and nothing more.” Yes, she was my sister, My fake sister I mean to say. She had been my substitute for 20 years after I was abducted when I was 5. I went through so much hardship to find my parents, but I was despised by them even after I was found. I watched my fake sister enjoying everything that should have belonged to me, wealth and honor, my parents' indulgent love, and now my husband. I wasn’t going to let that happen not on my watch.Aria’s POV “Since you want to know badly when we started our affair well, it all started on our wedding night.” My eyes wide in horror as Caleb spoke. “Yes…our wedding night. Remember I didn’t stay for the night and told you I had to run some errands for your father, well that was the first night we got together.” He look to Susan who giggled in his arms. “Yes, Aria. Just what he said. That night was a blessing. I felt like it should never end.” Susan jab her mouth with each word coming out and adding to the injury I feel in my heart. “I was the first to taste your man before he even tested you.” “What?” I cover my mouth, falling back to the table in the kitchen. I don’t think I could stand this anymore or stand anywhere near them. I wanted to be out of here, right this instant. “Tell me this isn’t true.” I looked at Caleb who stood confidently, not bothered that he did the worst thing a living being would do. “Well, it’s not my fault.” He shrug his shoulder. “You’re the on
Aria’s POV I don’t remember much but I think I lost consciousness for a minute. I feel the power draining out of me as my body is dragged down a cold floor. Where was I? And where was I taken to? I want to ask but my mouth can’t open to utter the words. My eyes open to a face and hand on me but close back. It’s all blurry. I can’t see a thing. After, I feel my body thrown on the floor of a cold room. I open my eyes now, slowly regaining consciousness. I look around. I’m no longer in the apartment but now in the basement not too far from the apartment. “Why I’m I hear?” I struggle to stand to my feet. My whole cloth is covered with red blood. I must have lost the child. My hands quivered. My eyes looked back at Susan who wore an evil smile, Caleb standing beside her. “What does it seem like? We’re getting rid of you old hag.” She mocks and my heart breaks, “So please die quietly.” Before I could say another thing, she locked the door to the ice cellar. “No!!!” I
Aria’s POV How I’m I alive? It’s not possible. I begin to question myself. There’s no way I would survive from that moment or experience. This must be some kind of dream my mind created to cope with that experience. I look down at my body and surprisingly enough, my parts are complete. So what happened? The door is sent open again and this time, Caleb is walking alongside the doctor as they rush to my front. “She’s finally awake doctor and she looks perfectly fine.” He says excitedly and I’m worried. Isn’t this the man who wanted to end my life before with my stand-in sister, Susan? The doctor approaches me and slowly touches my forehead. His palm was calm and gentle. I close my eyes. “Please, Inhale and exhale, Mrs, Flynn.” He mentions Caleb’s surname. That means I’m still married to Caleb. I did what he asked me to do. I inhale and exhale. His stethoscope was on my chest. He smiles. “Looking perfect.” He looks me in the eyes and back at Caleb who is biting his finger nerv
Aria’s POV I return back to my room and it took me everything I had within me not to rush towards her and lunge at her throat. How dare she show up here? What made her think she had the right to come here and even see me. “Ariiiiii!” her voice screech in my ear the moment she came in with Caleb to the room. It sounds like a pin being scratched on a glass surface. Before I could stop myself, I already found myself reacting. “Shut up bitch. You're being noisy.” The room was silent for a minute as Caleb stare at me in shock. Most likely for using such a harsh tone and words he had never heard me use but before I could say anything, Maira burst into the room. ‘Saved by the bell’ I mutter and focused on the rush of questions I was about to receive. Judging from how she gave Caleb an earful on the phone, she was most likely to pester me till I managed to convince her that I was ok. “Ariaaaa! Oh my goodness. How are you doing? What did the doctor say? Is everything ok? Are you in pain?
Aria’s POV I felt a chill getting worse and the water kept coming closer and closer until it was going to drown me. “I don't want to die please–” “Ari!” I hear a voice and look around. There was a faint light at the surface. “ARIA!” I jerk wide awake and suddenly I was not in the sea but on the hospital bed and drenched in my own sweat. What the fuck was with that nightmare. Drowning? “What the fuck Ari?! I thought you were dying. All the machines started beeping and you were screaming that you didn't want to die and shit. The fuck?” Dream and swear aside, if I didn't get something to purify my ears soon, the foul words going in would blow them up. “Could you please mind the way you curse Emily? I can't exactly have my ears purged in this state.” “What the hell are you even talking about? You just had a nightmare about you dying. That's it, I'm friggin calling the doctor and they'll place you on med–” Why was everyone in this life so noisy? I do not remember the Emily I met b
Susan’s POV I couldn’t shake the image of Aria’s reaction from my mind—the surprise, then that infuriating defiant glare. How dare she act as if my push hadn’t meant anything? I felt my heart race again, anger pounding in my temples. I couldn't believe I had underestimated her. I had never liked her defiance, the way she pushed back every time I tried to assert myself. That self-satisfied smile as she brushed herself off after my feeble attempt at an attack felt like a personal affront. How could I allow her to mock me like that? I felt a surge of rage welling up inside me, and I leaned in closer to the mirror, my reflection mirroring the storm brewing within. “I’m going to ruin you, Aria,” I whispered fiercely to myself. “You will wish you never crossed me.” Aria’s POV “Watch your step sweetie. I don't want you tripping over these stairs.” Heaven knew I wanted to badly swat Caleb’s hand from my waist but the last thing I needed was another one of his suspicious stares. He and Su
Aria’s POV Immediately we got to the venue, Maira began running around, getting the makeup artists and dressers to assemble. She was armed and prepped like someone who had been waiting for this moment for a long time. To her, today was the day of my big photoshoot at Fox magazine—and from the flashbacks I recall last night, it seemed that in this lifetime, it was the place I had dreamed of working ever since I got interested in fashion. The bright lights in the studio and the sound of heels clicking on the floor felt like music, making me feel both excited and nervous at the same time. When they arrived, the attendants did not waste any time. I finish up and I rush to find Maira who was always full of energy. “Hi, Aria!” she call out, her face lighting up when she saw me. “You look great today with your makeupppp! Emily would kill to be here but too bad, I get to see all the goodies.” “Thank you! I can’t wait to see the dresses,” I reply, my heart racing with anticipation. The l
Aria’s POV I drop my keys at the table and looked at the stairs. Contemplating going upstairs or just relaxing on the couch. I decide against it and instead went upstairs. I pass Caleb’s room and was about to go into mine when I heard voices and opened the door to peek in. I was immediately greeted with the sight of Susan ‘affectionately’ massaging Caleb’s back and might I add, she seemed to be really getting into it. All of a sudden, a rush of rage hit me so hard that I found it hard to breathe. I close my eyes and chuckled which alerted them to my presence. I stare at Susan and she didn’t look that bad apart from her robust breasts. She has dark brown skin, long lashes, a round face, black eyes, and a warm skin tone. I bite my lips as I remember those very hateful words coming back to me like it was yesterday. “Sorry, dear sister. It’s time you disappear.” The audacity it took her to say those words to me and still come here to meet me in the hospital. “Ohh, thank goodness, Ar
